Chapter 1- A Day Like Any Other
I am Max Payne. I was married. Michelle Parker, beautiful woman. We had been married for a year when I joined The Force. We were living in an apartment in the city. Michelle and I had moved there from her parents' place after we got married and I got the job.
I woke up and reached over to her pillow. Michelle was already up making breakfast. The beautiful smell of bacon and eggs, made her way. Just the way I liked it. I rolled on my back and lay there smiling until I heard the angel I called my wife calling my name. I then got up, dressed, and fed. Michelle had already ironed my clothes for me, had them laid out on the couch. When I was dressed I went and hugged her. Call me crazy, but I wanted never to have to let go.
