Last Few Days Chapter 1
The Sky Seems Darker
Vixena Lip Synched to the words on her cd while Kiki watched the clouds outside.
"Vixie..."
"Kiki, I told you to never nickname me. It's annoying." Vixena mumbled.
"oh, you're such a sour grape. Look at the sky though... it's cloudy."
"Kiki..." Vixena took off her headphones. "It's going to rain. When there are clouds outside, it usually means it's going to rain."
"I know that, but the sky is darker than usual. And Sally's on her way over here..." Kiki's face became a worried look.
"Kiki, for a 10 year old, you sure do worry too much. Sally's gonna be fine. Besides, she isn't even on her flight yet." Vixena leaned against the wall. "But we gotta get going if we want to meet her there on time." Kiki jumped for joy.
"Yay! In a couple of hours we'll see Sally again!"
"It really has been a long time since I've seen her. Or even talked to her. Hope she hasn't changed." Vixena picked up her bag.
"Vixie... what will we do once we get to Mexico?" Kiki asked picking up her own bag.
Vixena did her best to ignore the nickname.
"Well, probably go sightseeing first. I wanna show you all the beaches and great restaurants over there."
"And the best part is that we're going with Sally!" Kiki said all bouncy.
"Yeah I know... poor girl probably needs a vacation." The two walked out of their apartment building conversing.
