A/N Well, I don't know what I'm doing here either. But inspiration struck me so here we GO. This is going to be a very tiny story couple of chapters (boy doesn't that sound awfully familiar though?)

Disclaimer: oh dear I shall have to write this later…it seems my children David and Jessica need their lovely mother, myself, J.K. Rowling…oh well I can see my reflection in the screen and I don't appear to resemble her…yeah im done LMAO it DON'T Belong to me. And most of the Lily/ James stuff has been plucked dry!

And there Lily sat, the couches of the Gryffindor Common Room were quite comfy, yet Lily found their lack of sharp object with which she could shoot at the Marauders', unfortunate. She growled lowly, under her breath, as their antics continuously grew louder.

"Oy James, do you remember that girl we met in Hogsmede the other day-"

"Three- Fourths veela at least-"

"Curves in all the right places if you know what I mean…"

Lily growled louder and threw her arm precariously over her eyes and ears, hoping to block the voices out but with no resulting luck.

"Hello Lily," said a deep voice suddenly close to her.

Lily quickly lowered her arm which "accidentally" flew very close to James's face, "Potter," she acknowledged with a nod.

"Oh, we're reverting back to Potter now are we? Well Lily let me tell you something, when my parents named me James Potter, it was with the intent that people dear to me use the name James-"

"-It's always been Potter, James."

"Now see that wasn't so hard was it?" James placed his hand on top of Lily's with a smile, "You see James is a wonderful name. When you say it, it produces vibrations and…" James continued on although Lily was no longer listening.

It was all Lily could do to not smile back. Simple task as it seems that she needed all of her energy to ignore the tingling feeling in her fingers and to keep the scowl on her face. Although she no longer comprehended exactly what it was that James was saying, the deep, rolling sound of his voice lured her into that false sense of security.

"Lily?"

"Hmm, Yes?" Lily responded, looking quite frazzled.

"I asked you if you would like to go out with me."

Lily frowned deeply as she stood up. The remaining Marauders quickly shuffled out of the Common Room, bringing any of the younger years, whose tender ears may not have felt the wrath of Lily Evan before, with them.

Lily walked to the nearby window, out of which the Lake was seen. She glanced out of it before speaking, "Well, it seems as though my manly squid is still alive. Any day I expect him to ask me out. When he does, I surely don't want to be tied down to you, Potter-"

James jumped out of his seat and in three quick strides was in Lily's face, "What is wrong with you Lily?"

Needless to say, Lily was shocked at his actions, "Nothing is wrong with me, What's your problem?"

James's face held more fury than Lily had ever had directed in her direction, "My problem is you!"

"Me? Oh that's rich! You know something Potter, I don't have to be your problem."

James laughed humorlessly, "Do you still not get it Lily? You'd have to be awfully thick not to-"

Lily rolled her eyes sarcastically, "Well please almighty, all-knowing Potter, enlighten me."

James breathed deeply a few times to calm himself, "Lily you have got to be the biggest hypocrite I have ever met in my life- let me finish-" He added, seeing the look on her face, "I mean, you run around school all day calling me big- headed and stubborn, but what do you see when you look in the mirror huh? A wonderful, kind woman to everyone except for the one who probably needs it the most. Are you too perfect to give me a chance or is it simply your stubbornness? Which one Lily?" she bowed her head, "No, look at me Lily!" She obliged to meet eyes which lacked the look of caring or, dare she think it, the love that normally resided in them.

James continued, "Have you not yet noticed all I have done just to get you to notice me. I have changed my ways, my habits, my thoughts just for you! I left Remus in his time of need to help you and make sure that you were ok,"

Lily had almost forgotten that one, the night which she so foolishly walked outside during the full moon. Had James not saved her- she didn't even want to think about it. Well, she thought, it was his fault I was out there anyway. I needed to clear my head of the thoughts of him. Lily lowered her eyes; he's all I think about...just him. She remembered the look in his eyes as he stood over her bed in the hospital wing, a mix of worry, love, awe, and perhaps a wee bit of impatience for dear old Madam Pompfry.

"You know what!" James said suddenly, breaking her thoughts, "You just might be right, which I'm sure is such a shock to you. I am wasting my time on you...You are a waste of time. You aren't worth it," James turned his head and said, more so to convince himself, "You're just not worth it..." and slumped back over to the sofa.

Lily slid down the wall, overcome with tears. The sobs shook with sadness and echoed around the now silent room. She needed to apologize...but how could she. I can't even look at him, he's been right this whole time...and I was too thick- headed to listen.

James, as overcome with emotions of his own, chanced a look over at Lily.  Her tears tore his heart apart and all thoughts of moving on…moved on.

"Lily! Oh Merlin, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it-" he said running towards her. James wrapped his arms around her and was vaguely surprised to feel her do the same.

"No James, you've been right the whole time I was being thick- headed-"

 "No Lily, you were right-"

Lily glared at him, "Well I said you were right!"

"Well I say you were right!'
"You!" Lily said standing up and towering over James.

"You!" James said, using Lily's arm to pull himself up. The problem was, James weighed much more than Lily and brought both of them tumbling to the ground, laughing.

Lily laid her head on his solid chest and said, "Well you should know that I wanted to accept your offers-"

"-But…"

"…But I was afraid to end up like all the other girls.  I guess I was afraid of my own feelings as well.  I don't like taking chances with my feelings you see"

James smiled and ran a finger through her hair, "I've wanted to do that for so long," They laughed, "But you've got to understand Lily, It's always been about you."

"Really?" she said, smiling up at him.

"Really."

"Hey James-"

"Mmm, much better-"

"Would you do me the honor of being my boyfriend?"

James's smile, if possible, grew tenfold, "I think I'd like that," he said, moving in closer.

Lily followed his lead, "Oh really, so that's a yes?"

"No, it's a defiantly…"

They kissed and all was right with the world.  They kissed and their terrible feuds and duels went down the drain. They kissed and their fates were sealed, after that kiss, both strayed from Bachelor World, never to return.

A/N mkay I guess I kinda like that one. Bit different than my last story. Next chapter we get to grow UP! And have a BABY! Yippee with out all the pain and whatnot ;)
