Rory stands at the curb in front of Luke's and a tear runs down her cheek as she watches Jess disappear into the dark horizon. She stands there for a few minutes wondering if she will ever see him again. She wraps her arms around her dark red shirt and a chill runs down her spine. Thoughts are spinning around in her head of the times she spent with Jess and how she shut him out of her life. He was worth everything he ever gave me, the waiting, the love and his life.
Rory turned around and opened the door to Luke's and heard the familiar welcoming bell of the small diner. She sees Luke walk out from the side door with a towel in his hand rubbing the water off of the white coffee cup. She can smell the comforting smell of coffee and the soft sound of peoples conversations.

"Hi Rory, How are you today?" Says Luke with his usual raspy but kind voice.

"Hey Luke, I'm pretty good.." replies Rory with a saddened voice and she makes her way over to the old stools by the counter.

"Ok, I know there's something wrong Rory, spill." says Luke as he puts down the cup he has been washing since Rory entered the diner.

"It's nothing Luke. Do you mind if I use your phone to call my mum?" Rory says with her head down.

"Sure." Luke says disappointedly, hoping Rory could confide in him more often with important things.

When Lorelie shows up to the diner she spots Rory sitting at the counter holding her head in her hands. With a questioned look on her face she runs over to her saddened daughter and embraces her with a large comforting hug.
When Lorelie gently lets go of Rory, she looks into her daughters eyes and asks her what happened. Rory takes a deep breath and tells Lorelie how Jess just left, and how happy she feels she should be but yet how sad she is that he left. Lorelie looks at Rory's teary eyes and grabs a napkin from the holder to the left of her and wipes Rory's tears away.

"Its ok Rory, Jess wasn't right for you, you know he bugged you more then you wanted." Lorelie tells Rory hoping it was the right thing to say.

"I know mum, it's just that I miss him already." Says Rory as she sobs in disbelief that Jess had left again.

"I think... I think we need one of our movie nights Rory. I know it's going to be ok and I also know that he might come back one day." says Lorelie.
