Fading Memories
The only sound resonating in the infirmary was that damned clock, tick-tock, tick-tock; it's a blessing and a curse.
I can't face anyone...not yet.
My physical wounds may have healed, but inside I feel as if I've only just begun.
In the end I would have said anything to stop the hurt…the torture.
The incessant tick-tock stops me from sleeping…dreaming…remembering Ba'al's torture. But, I know that given time, the painful memories will eventually fade into the background… just like the sound of the ticking clock.
