As The World Falls Down

As my world gets even darker still,
The more I realize,
That questions of this life, do fill
The hearts of men and mice.

Is everything that we think or feel,
Truly what we see?
Is there an end to our time's wheel?
Is this all the we can be?

Does anyone know where Rhodora grow?
Is there a point for strife?
And where, oh where, do angels go?
Is there a point to life?

While darkness bathes my world with woe,
I ponder, with eyes frozen wide,
That only when you're about to go,
Does beauty fail to hide.

The more I feel, the more I think,
The more and more I drown,
And the beauty of life goes by in a blink,
As my world comes crashing down.

A/N: Well, what do you think? The title is from David Bowie's excellent song of the same name.
