Author's Note:

Hello. I haven't updated in a while but had a sudden urge to write. I have had this chapter done for quite some time but lost confidence. No one was reviewing and no one may review again. I guess posting it for me is the best to do. But, if someone does read this then please review. Constructive criticism is needed and wanted, as is encouragement. ::hint, hint:: Just please don't flame me. Anyway, on with the story.

A sudden noise outside quickly ended the girls bonding. Every one quickly ran outside to see what the disturbance was. The guys made sure to stay away from the girls still fearing their wrath from their latest view of Charity.

"Kagome, I sense something about the air. It feels bad," Charity said frightened by the unseen demon that she knew awaited them.

"I do too. Charity, can you pinpoint it's location? I can't it seems to be everywhere."

"I don't know," Charity said. She suddenly sensed a movement very near to Kagome. "Kagome! Near you, move!" Charity shouted while running to stop the demon from harming Kagome.

"So you can see me, child? That is not good. I will have to kill you first. Then I will take care of the girl with the Shikon shard," said the demon that had just came out of the forest. It was the most beautiful creature ever she had ever seen. It looked like an angel but instead of being cloaked in white it was cloaked in black.

"Whoa," Kagome said captivated by the beauty of the demon before her. They had never been beautiful before. This was going to cause some problems.

"You can see me too?" demanded the beautiful demon.

"Your so beautiful, why hide?" questioned Charity.

"Huh?" the demon was startled. He hid so he could sneak up on his prey. It didn't help if they could sense him. It was obvious to him that only the two odd looking girls could sense him. The others looked confused. He better not speak too often or the others might find his location.

"Your a he. Why are you so beautiful? I have a hard time removing my eyes from you. This is bad isn't it?" Charity said breathlessly.

"I can't remove my eyes either. Is this why you hide yourself?" Kagome questioned.

The others looked very worried at the way their friends were acting. They were staring adoringly and motionlessly at an invisible person. They could hear him, but that was all. InuYasha and Koga couldn't even smell the demon. Miroku couldn't sense the evil like Kagome and Charity had sensed at one point in time. Every one was at a lost as to how to help their friends.

"The way you two are acting is part of the reason I do not show myself. Now give me the Shikon jewel and I will not harm you two."

"I.. I.." Kagome couldn't say anything more.

"She..." Charity swallowed the lump in her throat and continued, "she can't give it to you. Your a demon no matter how beautiful you are."

"You two are tiring. Your feeble admiration. It annoys me beyond your knowledge. Stupid humans. I will get what I came for regardless," the demon stated.

Kagome was still captivated by the demon that stood so near to her. Charity knew she had to be the one to protect Kagome because no one else could. She owed Kagome for all the kindness she had given her.

"Kagome what are you doing? Move!" Charity shouted to her in a desperate attempt to make her obey while she ran towards Kagome. The demon was not going to waste any time and started for Kagome. He did not expect a weird girl to step in between him and the Shikon jewel.

"Move! I will not harm her if she just hands me the jewel."

"I already told you she can't do that!"

InuYasha and Koga hurried to Kagome's side. They may not be able to see the foe but they would do anything to protect Kagome. Miroku and Sango jumped on a transformed Kirara and hurried to help the others.

"You lay one hand on her and I will kill you." InuYasha stated.

"Humph, you can't even see me half-demon. How do you plan on attacking me?"

InuYasha jumped forward with a transformed tetsusaiga and attacked the demon before him. The other demon was startled by his abrupt attack and didn't have time to react. InuYasha acting solely on the demon's voice only hit his arm. Nothing serious enough to kill the demon.

"InuYasha be careful! You can seriously injure someone like that! You don't attack something blindly!" Charity nagged.

"What else am I supposed to do? Just wait for the thing to kill Kagome? Besides, I can now smell it's blood."

"Not for long weak half ling." the demon made known that InuYasha had done little to stop him. "I can hide everything about me, even the smell of my blood."

Charity looked at him. She had a plan. "Do you like the taste of blood, my beautiful demon?" questioned Charity in a sweet, innocent voice.

"What is it with you people? Questioning the one who is to kill you. Yes, I like the taste of blood. Human blood is to low for the likes of me. I rather have animal blood, it is higher than a human."

"Sorry, I ask so many questions I am new to this. I was just thinking if you were hungry you could eat me and leave Kagome be."

The others were shocked by the conversation between the demon and Charity. They were talking like they were trying to get to know each other; it was creepy.

"Could you just try my blood? Please?" Charity begged.

'She is acting so odd. Why would anyone give up their blood so willingly?' He smiled cockily at the plan forming in his mind, 'They will bond. It is perfect. I will make them stuck to each other forever and I take off with the jewel.' His plan was perfect, or so he thought."Fine. I shall try your lowlife blood." he said in a bored tone, yet he smiled in his eyes.

'Why is he smiling inside? Have I done something foolish?' Charity worried to herself.

"Are you insane?" asked Miroku. "He might kill you. You just asked for death."

"Why do you care, Miroku? You don't really know me. I am just another person who wandered from her own home of safety. Trust me, if you can."

The demon landed upon the ground beside her. She held out her arm. He took it all the while smiling. She smiled back, the smile almost appeared loving. He was close to regretting his actions before he had even committed them. Perhaps he had chosen a more powerful enemy than he first thought. Regardless of all the thoughts swimming around in his head he bit her hand. Her blood was delicious, heavenly. He had to force himself to stop before he bled her dry. She winced when his fangs first entered her. He was doing just as she wanted. She smiled up to him. He smiled back and grabbed Kagome's hand and bit her as well. She tasted just as good, but he couldn't think about that right now. He took Charity's hand and Kagome's hand and put them together.

"And you two shall forever be bonded," he laughed crazily making sure his plan was known. He wasn't expecting that they were miko's and that things wouldn't turn out as he wished.

"Ow," Kagome and Charity both grimaced. A sudden flash of white light engulfed both of the girls. Inside the light the two girls were bonded forever. Only instead of being combined or bonded as one, they were bonded mentally. They had powers beyond their comprehension. Powers that were waiting to be explored. Dangerous, yet wonderful. When the light had died down Kagome and Charity were laying on the ground peacefully while holding each other's hand.

InuYasha and the other's had soon discovered Charity's plan. They could see the demon now. Yes, he could hide everything about him, but Kagome and Charity's blood where not a part of him.

"What did you do to them?" asked InuYasha in a deathly quiet voice.

"I only meant to combine the two and watch as they resisted and killed each other off. I was not expecting them to resist it this way. If they hadn't you would have seen a new girl lying before you, writhing in pain and death would soon come for them. They must be very powerful if they survived as two separate people. Amazing." the demon half responded and half mused to himself. "Maybe I should take them with me. They are so powerful and quite attractive," he turned to InuYasha for the next part, "and they taste so good." He smiled evilly knowing full well he had angered the half ling before him.

InuYasha wasted no time. Him, Koga, Miroku, and Sango all rushed at the demon to make him pay for whatever he may have done to their friend, Kagome, and their new friend, Charity. It happened so quickly that the demon had no time to respond. He had, however, realized why Charity had asked for him to bite her. Everything seemed quick to the people who fought and even the people who just stood by watching all of this. It was all a blur of anger and when it ended the demon was dead, or so they believed. They could not see the young mikos' blood anymore and assumed he was gone.

Oblivious to all of this Kagome and Charity were exploring each other minds. They knew just about everything about each other, but what little secrets they had somehow locked away.

So what did you think? I know it is short and I don't really like this chapter but it is part of a plot... even though that plot is developed further much later in the story. Uh, yeah... Anyway, please review.
