Mind made up, she Apparated behind Harry (being a Descendant of Sirens she wasn't bound by the Wards made for everyone else) and put her hands over his eyes.
"Guess who!" she exclaimed, her voice a harmonious melody.

"Mary!" he exclaimed, pulling her into a tight embrace and kissing her softly, "So you -"

"Yes, I couldn't deny it any longer! I love you Harry!" It had been a very hard decision, but for Draco, there would always be a place in her heart. She'd never forget his face just hours earlier when she told him her choice -the picture of heartbreak; he'd sobbed for over an hour, but admitted it was best. He was still repenting for the sins of he and his father, after all.

"Are you ready for the Ball?" he asked, trying futilely to flatten his hair.

"Just a second." Once more she transfigured her favourite Muggle clothes into a dazzling set of deep purple dress robes trimmed with gold, complimenting her almond violet and gold-flecked eyes and the natural crimson streaks in her hair.

Taking her hand, Harry couldn't believe his luck. The most beautiful girl in the entire of Hogwarts, the Heir of Gryffindor, was his girlfriend and he was completely in love with her. He couldn't imagine a day without hearing her voice.
