Author's Note: Hey! Thanks to everyone who reviewed my first fic! You guys are the best! Now unlike my first fic which was an extremely short one-shot, this one will be longer on-going one. Even though this first chapter is kinda short. Well, read and review! -
Disclaimer: Unfortunately, Cowboy Bebop or any of the characters therein are not mine. (sob) Although I do have the movie on dvd!! (swoons) -
The lonely young woman walked slowly through the park, emerald eyes lifted skywards, slighty hazed over in thought. A cooling breeze gently russled her long dark violet hair, so dark it almost appeared black. A wistful smile spread upon her face as she thought of past lives she had lived, adventures she had had. She was quite lucky, really, not many people had done half of the dardevilish things she had. But the smile vanished and her eyes shaded over with sorrow as her memories returned people to her, people she had known, cared for, and inevitably lost.
A barely audible sigh escaped her lips as she sat upon an old wooden bench, nestled beneath a large cherry blossom tree. It was beautiful this time of year, as it was in full bloom. Not only were the trees themselves breathtaking, but the small white flowers gently scattered about the ground gave the area an almost enchanting look.
It's why she had come here, to relax amongst the beauty, forget of her stressful life. But whenever she had time alone, like this, she always began to remenisque of her past. And memories only stirred up pain and reopened old scars. It's why she tried to keep herself relatively busy, so she wouldn't have time to get lost in her thoughts. But even after all her attempts she would constantly find herself with unshed tears brimming in her eyes, and an old story retelling itself in her heart..
Shaking the thoughts from her mind she opened the paper bag she had been carrying. It's contents were a simple lunch, an eggroll or two, an apple, and a danish. Daintly examining an eggroll she sighed and placed it back in the sack. She was sure it was a delicious eggroll, but she wasn't really hungry, she rarely was anymore. She smiled as she thought of Jet, fussing about how she hadn't eaten much of anything. The that he was wearing that ridiculous apron of his almost caused her to laugh, almost.
Tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear she repackaged the food, silently promising herself to eat it later. Resting her head upon the back of the bench she closed her eyes, the sun gently warming her skin. A frown slightly creased her face
