Ch. 1 Silvia
Silvia got off the train and headed toward a spectacular looking castle. When she reached the doors she stepped back and looked up at the first visible tower. It was huge, no beyond huge. Anyway, it was her new home. She pushed the great doors open and stepped inside. Ahead of her was a long staircase. On either side there were paintings of other witches, wizards, and other magical beings. She went up the great staircase, wondering where she was supposed to go. Near a door was a lady dressed in green robes. "She must be a teacher." Silvia said quietly to herself. "Excuse me," she called to the lady "My name is Silvia Samones. I'm new and I'm not quite sure where I'm supposed to go." "Oh, of course, I was wondering when I would be seeing you." Replied the teacher. She seemed friendly enough. "I am Professor McGonagal. I will be your transfiguration teacher here at Hogwarts." "Yes, but shouldn't I see the headmaster or something?" Silvia asked. "Oh!" exclaimed Professor McGonagal "Yes I almost forgot. Right this way." She lead Silvia to a large golden sculpture of a griffin. "Chocolate Mousse." Said Professor McGonagal. All of a sudden the griffin started to spiral upward revealing a winding staircase. Silvia climbed up until she reached a room filled with pictures of previous headmasters and headmistresses. In the corner was a great read bird. A Phoenix, Silvia thought. "Silvia Samones, I presume." All of a sudden a very old man with a long white beard appeared. "Yes Sir." Silvia replied. "I was expecting you. Come here please." Silvia started towards the man. "I am Albus Dumbledore, headmaster here at Hogwarts." "Hello." She said. Dumbledore started to tell her what she really wanted to hear. "First of all you need to be sorted into a house. There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." Dumbledore pulled an old tattered hat off a shelf and placed it on her head. After a few seconds she heard a voice whispering in her ear. "Hmm, very bright, plenty of bravery, a hard worker. Where should I put you? I know! Gryffindor!" okay, she thought it sounds pretty good. I didn't mush like the sound of that last one. "well thank you sir. I would go to my house, but I don't quite know where it is." "oh," he replied, "of course. Go down to the great hall the feast isn't quite over. Go to the table with a red and gold banner over it. You can find your way from there." "Again, thank you sir." She said. When she got to the great hall she found the table he was talking about. She saw some kids that looked to be about the sam age as her. She immediately recognized one of them to be a Weasly. He was definitely a son of one of the men her father worked with at the ministry. The other boy was...Harry Potter! She didn't know who the girl was but Silvia really wanted to talk to them. She walked up to the table. "Hi." She said.
