I was busy eating breakfast when Jack called me downstairs. Jazz looked at me and said
-I wouldn't go if I was you
But I did anyway and I should have listened. Dad and one of his pathetic inventions. Why doesn't he just give it up, none ever worked before.

He put up a blueprint in front of me.
-This is my latest invention; the ghost portal. It will unlock a way for ghost to come through to our world. "Great" I thought "another way to make me look like I was raised by lunatics"
-Now Danny I wanted you to be the first to see it in action. Stand back in case a ghost comes out.
Jack plugged in the two wires. A small spark came out.
-Oh drat
-Honey you did you best and that's what matters right?
-yea I guess you right.
Many days past and Dad was so depressed. So I talked to Jazz
-dad has been pretty down lately, wonder why
-Danny, it's because his invention did not work.
-I know, but why has he gave up on it?
-because he's dad, he gives up easily.

I went up to my room wondering how to make dad more cheerful. Then it hit me, I would fix his invention, tonight was a go. I would do it after he goes to bed. Hopefully I will have it working before he gets up.
The clock struck midnight. I crept down to the basement. I put on a safety outfit in case something happened. I walked inside.
-Dad is so stupid he forgot to push the on button
I slowly reached it not knowing what came next. Next thing I knew I felt like I was getting struck by lightning. Then I blacked out.
I woke up and the room was like spinning and everything. I came to a mirror.
-Dad is so funny inventing a…wait.. Oh no.. no.. no..
I looked down
-this is not happening, it cant be.. I'm.. I'm.. a.. a.. ghost. AHHHH
-Danny is that you down there?
Jack came down and looked right at me. He did not say anything. When he left the thought entered my mind. I ran to the mirror again. I looked to be normal. I sighed. I blinked and my eyes turned green.
-HUH?
I looked down and noticed that I was wearing black and I was.. Floating.
-I am a ghost.
-Danny is that you
"on no Dad again" I thought
Jack came down and saw me this time.
-What are you doing up this late?
I looked down and I appeared to be back to normal
-oh nothing dad
-well… hey Danny the portal.. It's working?
-yea I guess it is?
I went back up to my room, only to find that door jammed. I made a running start for it, only to see that I walked right through it. I looked down, I was a ghost again. I touched my outfit, then I change back to normal. Am I ghost of am I human only time will tell I guess.
Little did I know that fixing the portal was only the least of my worries now I got this ghost thing to handle, and I thought being in 9th grade was hard.
