Hi all! Thanks for all the reviews, especially the one that told me to hurry up! I can gladly say that assessment week is over and I have come out with some good results and some average results! I can't wait until PoA comes out in the movies! It was my favorite book so I'm really looking forward to it. The only thing I didn't like about the trailers was when it showed all of the Ron/Hermione moments (arghhhh). So now that all of that is out of the way…

Harry and Hermione had spent their last day together roaming the castle; quietly enjoying each other's company. They sat in the great hall waiting for the rest of the school to arrive. The train had obviously been delayed as they were over an hour late. Harry could just imagine what Ron was thinking.

The doors opened and students from all four houses filled the room staring slightly at Hermione and Harry who were holding hands at the Gryffindor table. It was only a moment before Ron walked into the room and looked straight at Harry and Hermione. He stood fastened to the spot where he first spotted them, going slightly red yet holding his head up high Ron sat down at the opposite end of Gryffindor table.

Dumbledore began his speech and the hall fell quite after a lot of whispering and laughing. Harry listened intently to Dumbledore and even Hermione looked as if she was trying to listen extremely hard even though the hall was silent.

"…As I have said many times over the last few years now, we are as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided. The second war is looming ever closer and we need to look after our friends and family, tell those whom you love that you do love them as we do not know the way the war will end and what will come out of it…"

Hermione turned to look at Harry and knew exactly what he was thinking, they had to make up with Ron. She then turned to look at the person who had helped her more than anyone else in the school. With the look alone Minerva could tell Hermione was trying to tell her she loved her.

Later that night after any more notices had been given Harry and Hermione made their way up the hall towards the Gryffindor common room with their classmates and friends thinking deeply about Dumbledore's speech. Usually his start of term speeches were entertaining and mostly happy but this one…

Harry walked slowly over to his bed and lay down he knew Ron wasn't asleep but knew it also wasn't quite the right time.

Hermione awoke early the next morning and went through her normal get ready for classes routine. She made her way into the common room where she found Harry already down there waiting for her.

"Hiya" She said energetically

"Good morning Hun" Hermione turned to look at Harry

"What?" he said

"Nothing it doesn't matter…actually since when did you start calling me Hun?" Hermione curiously asked

"What? I dunno it just sort of came out and felt right don't you like it? I won't call you that if you don't want me to."

"No it's ok, it doesn't matter. Are you coming down to breakfast?"

"Just a second there is something I have to do first" Harry said seductively wrapping his arms around Hermione's waist and kissing her softly on the lips before breaking apart "Come on Hermione I'm starving!" Hermione swatted his arm playfully and slipped her hand into his following him out of the common room.

Neither realized that a certain redhead had been watching from the top of the stairs.

Harry and Hermione sat down at breakfast and both were surprised when Ron sat down across from them in the Great Hall.

"Look you two I want to apolog-" Ron began

"6th year time tables" McGonagall said walking along the Gryffindor table and glancing curiously at Hermione as she passed her, her new timetable.

Ron tried again "I want to apologize for my behavior during the holidays. It was stupid and childish of me and I can sort of see now that you two belong together. I guess I was jealous and thought I would become unwanted. So I'm sorry"

"We would never leave you out deliberately," Hermione said quietly

"Yea mate we want you to be our friend still and we accept you apology and we are also sorry for not telling you sooner." Harry stood with his arm stretched across the table his hand open. Ron slowly stood and shook it then gave Hermione a hug.

"My two most favorite guys" she said smiling at Harry then at Ron. "And if you two don't hurry up my two favorite guys are going to have detention with Snape"

"Snape first?!?!" Harry and Ron said in unison with a disgusted look on their faces.

"Yup, so get a move on" Hermione said grabbing Harry's hand and pulling him out of the great hall.

Everyone in the hall wished they had a friendship like the three friends who were once again the 'Golden Trio,' as they left the room laughing and joking, with another hard, exhausting but exciting year in front of them with long lives to look forward to. Lives that had only just begun.

The end

What did you think? I know this chapter has taken ages to write and I really felt like it was time to wrap the story up. I will also try to get an epilogue up. I still haven't seen PoA yet but I can't wait. Thank-you to all those who reviewed along my very first fanfic you were all so nice to me! The last person I want to thank is JK Rowling for giving me a story that I can get so enthusiastic about! Do you know what? I used to hate reading then I read GoF and now I love it. The books showed me how much I enjoy reading! Once again thanks to the reviewers I hope you enjoyed the story!
