George Weasley here. This is my old little notebook, just to jot down thoughts in...and maybe a couple of prank ideas or four. Today, I write in here for a reason. Fred, my identical twin brother, has been acting out of character lately. He's sitting there, staring off into space when we should be planning a prank or when I'm speaking to him. It's already been weeks into the school year, we should be pranking the Slytherins as we speak. Maybe it's just a bad day for him. ...Oh, all right, a bad week; it's been happening from a couple days back. Maybe something's happened. But, that couldn't be, because I'm his twin, and he can tell me anything, right? He should be able to; we tell each other anything and everything.
I hope he's alright. Or that he'll be alright. Y'know, he's not the older one. Twin, I mean. I am. But, being that he's always first, alphabetic order and all, I guess he's had more responsibility. I mean, he's laid back, we both are, but when Mum or Dad always have something to say, well, something important, they tell him first. Even with other things, like a chore, they tell him first. Oh, I'm not the least bit jealous or unhappy about that; I don't want any responsibility. I'm perfectly happy to shove it all on him. Ignorance is bliss, right?
Damn bloody pen broke. Still works, but the top came off. Some muggle things are fantastic; this book and pen are great! I can see why Dad's obsessed with them. That's all for today, I guess.
Fred glanced at George scribbling away in his notebook. "Got any ideas?"
"Nope." George clapped the book shut and grinned at Fred. "You?"
Fred grinned back. "Well, there is this one little Gryffindor who is currently dating our little sister..."
"Brilliant! Now, what are the plans?" George's eyes sparkled enthusiastically. With their heads close together, conspiratorial grins on their faces, and leaning over a bit of parchment, head nodding every few words, George couldn't help thinking, Maybe nothing's wrong after all...
A/N: I want to see how people react to this, so this is a tester. If people review, I'll write more. If not, I'll either leave this up or delete it. If I put up another chapter, it'll be much longer than this, I promise.
