Bounce Back

The Golden Pair is like one of the self-returning tennis ball toys the little girl that likes Ryoma uses.
Eiji is the tennis ball – he goes up and down and all around. He's fun and provides much amusement but no matter what, he'll return to the base.
Oishi is the base. He's strong and steady most of the time. Always there, always waiting for him to come back because there's a string connecting them, made out of trust and love. Because of that elastic string, Eiji will, until the end of time, come back to Oishi.
Sometimes that link is stretched thin and he doesn't want to come back.
Sometimes they fight, just like any other pair, and don't agree with each other. But Eiji bounces back, just like he's supposed to, hesitant and apologetic.
There are times when he's scared Oishi won't be there when he gets back, that their string stretched too thin and snapped. But Oishi is always there.
Because they are the Golden Pair.
