Summary: He should hate her, but he doesn't.
Categories: Romance
Notes: Written as a drabble for my dear friend and rabid fangirl, shadymemoirs, but then I wrote a little more... A sentence or three are from Dashboard Confessional's song "As Lovers Go."
Pairing: Draco/Hermione
-----
He was never what you'd really call normal. His father was the Dark Lord's right-hand man. His mother, well, his mother was never quite sane, but he suspected that was because of his father's doing. He was probably the wealthiest pureblood in Hogwarts (thank-you-very-much).
He lusted after a Mudblood. A Gryffindor.
A Mudblood, for Merlin's sake! How could he, Draco Thomas Malfoy, ever want to even touch a... a witch like her?
He'd noticed it since his fifth year. Being the typical fifteen year-old he was, his nightly ministrations had become more and more of a relief. Every night, he saw her small, curvy body. He took hold of her brown, bushy hair, pulling her closer. He listened to the sounds and moans that she made, then kissed her hard so that her music poured into his mouth.
She had wits. She had looks. She had passions. She had him enraptured.
He grabbed her wrist while she wasn't flanked by Potter and Weasley on her way outside the castle. He promised quickly not to hurt her, and her arm relaxed slightly. He slipped a hand around her waist, then opened a door she had never noticed before. They went into the room and he closed the door.
"Are you brave enough, little Gryffindor?"
He kissed her.
She kissed him back.
