The Durmstrang Reject

When a girl who was kicked from Durmstrang, with a father that runs a "Questionable" shop in Knockturn Alley, is given to Hermione to "show the ropes" at Hogwarts. It just SPELLS trouble. Will she corrupt our "poor innocent" Hermione? ((OC warning))

A/N I'm just starting this up now, hopefully I'll be able to continue it while I'm in France next month! The next chapter is free, but there are no guarantees on the one after
Sorry it's so short, heh

'Individual thoughts'

---'----
"fuck"

'What a great way to greet the day' Sharmaine thought bitterly, hurling off her bed covers and stretching.

"Maps!!" she called, looking for her tiny companion.

There was a lazy growl, and it didn't sound happy.

A tiny white cat surfaced from under the covers, and gave them a disgruntled look. The cat waved her three tails in annoyance, and she attempted to flatten her fur with her tongue. She stretched and let her claws dig into the floral bed sheets. There were now tiny pin-pricks in the bed sheet from all the summer she had spent here.

"You're such a pig" came the soft remark from Maps

Sharmaine snorted, and gracefully walked smack into the bathroom door. She cursed, and opened the door before trying to enter the bathroom again. There was a slam, and Maps fell right off the bedpost she was perched on. Then, curses were heard but this time from the small cat

After going through her morning routine, Sharmaine headed downstairs to Fathers shop. Of course, this wasn't their normal home, but Mother insisted it was too much of a pain to constantly drive Sharmaine back and forth from the manor.

The stairs creaked under her weight as she rushed downstairs into the dark store. Father told Sharmaine not to touch anything at the store, he would be back to see her one last time before she went to Hogwarts.

For a moment she felt unbridled anger towards her father, it dissipated quickly though. After all, it wasn't his fault they had to move, it wasn't his fault she screwed up and broke the cardinal rule, and it really was not his fault that she would never in her right mind go to that other all girls school.

It made her queasy thinking about it. There were school overseas, of course, but she didn't want to move that far. Durmstrang had always been a good school...

She thought of her old school, and it dredged up bad memories. The musty smell of the shop was over powered by the smell of her old common room. Her eyes became harder than steel, and she flushed the memory away from her mind.

Bastards

Sharmaine hoped her schooling at Hogwarts would turn out for the better. Even if they didn't have as much teaching in the skills she was the greatest at.

She was supposed to meet her guide to her new school today. A girl named Hermione Granger, 'A good enough name' supposed Sharmaine.

She took one last look at the store, before deciding to explore.
