Disclaimer: This sucks, I don't own the Harry Potter characters, but can pretend I do.

A/N: This is my first HP story and I'm not sure where this is going, so please be nice. Oh, and the first chapter is gonna be a little short because I'm having a bit of writer's block. Sorry.

Professor Eve Bain walked the still empty halls of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Now, Eve seemed like your average, everyday witch, which most people considered her as. However, she harbored a deep, dark, secret: she was the famous Hermione Granger, defeater of Lord Voldemort and most powerful witch ever born. There's only one catch; she doesn't know it.
"I wonder where we'd be now, Harry. Ya'know, if she didn't..." Ron mused remorsefully but unable to finish his sentence. It was now common knowledge that the great Hermione Granger was dead. Killed in a kidnapping attempt made on her apparently. "I bet you'd both be married, probably with kids as old as mine and Gin's" Harry answered, prepared for the questioning; after all, this was Hermione's birthday.
Ron's face reddened with anger. "She was only twenty three years old Harry! 'Mione didn't deserve to die! I could of-". "Ron! Whoa, chill, quit blaming yourself, you or me, or anyone couldn't do a thing to prevent it. We were on a mission in Germany, remember." Harry interrupted. "Yea but I still feel like it's my fault. I mean, she was supposed to go on that mission to but I had Kingsly take her off it, just because she was tired.". "Ugh, this is making me tired. I'll see you tomorrow Ron.". "Yeah. See ya."
'Jesus, Eve. Its midnight and you're still wandering around. You're gonna sleep through the welcoming feast if you don't get to bed soon.' So she did just that.

She was running through the woods, trying desperately to avoid being caught. Suddenly, she's grabbed on the wrist by a tall figure in dark cloak and mask. Mind swirling she didn't know what to do. She didn't even hear the call of "Obliviate!" in time to use her wand before crumpling to the ground.

"Ahhh!" Eve screamed, sitting bolt upright in her large bed, grabbing her right shoulder where the scar from the "car accident" is.
