As the trio picked up their books Ron and Harry told Hermione of the girl.
"What was her name again?" Ron said more to himself than anyone else, trying hard to remember.
"Lila Lewis," Harry replied quickly, still looking for their new charms book. Hermione gave him a questioning look, "Oh you two met Lila." She replied handing Harry the Standard Book of Spells Volume 6.
"Uh-huh. Is there a reason you were keeping her a secret?" Ron said smirking at her. Hermione just laughed, "I didn't even know she was a witch until I walked over to her house one day and found her dishes washing themselves."
As they walked out of Florish and Botts Harry noticed a steady flow of students coming in and out of the Quidditch Supply Store. Another new broom, The Firebolt Twenty-Eight, how he wished he had that broom... "Funny you don't know her Ron, She's pretty good friends with Fred and George." Hermione said matter-of-factly. Ron wasn't really paying attention, his gaze had wandered over to Malfoy, this time he and Corey had a blonde girl with them. As she turned around Ron nearly gasped.
"Why is Lila with Malfoy?!" Ron said questionably. Harry stared, as Hermione answered, "I have no idea."
"They are probably making fun of her. Should we go tell them off?" Ron asked look about at Harry and Hermione.
"I don't er-think so Ron, she-she just hugged Corey." Harry said making a disgusted face. Ron stared at Hermione; Malfoy rolled his eyes at the odd couple. Everyone knew he hated Gryffindors, but it looked like he was trying to be nice.
"Oh I get it now Hermione," Ron looked at her, "You knew she was with that slimy git so you just decided never to introduce us."
"No! No, I didn't!" She looked sadly at Lila. "She was always such a nice girl." Hermione said as the group started to walk away.
