After a day or so things began to cool down around Harry, and he was grateful, no matter how hard Ron tried Lavender and Pavarti would not let him in on their secret, although, that was probably for the best. Night descended on the castle like a thick blanket and dark clouds covered the sky. It looked as if it would snow, but a hard rain throttled the roof instead. Many students had curled up in the cozy armchairs of the common rooms, only a few still lingered in the halls.

Taking a different way to the Gryffindor Common room than he usually did Harry ran into her. Cho Chang was sitting on the floor in an empty corridor staring blankly at the wall. Her knees hugged to her chest and her chin resting on her knees. Harry tried to inch his way passed her un- noticed and seemed to get away un-caught.

"Hh-Harry?" She murmured losing the stare down to the wall, "Harry?" She said again seeing he was still walking away.

Wincing he turned to face her, "Yes?" He could feel the butterflies in his stomach starting to flutter.

Cho said nothing, but got up and moved toward him. The butterflies in Harry's stomach turned violent as she crept closer. He gripped his books in fear he might drop them.

"Cho what are you-"Harry's question was cut short by Cho wrapping her arms around him and engaging him in a long kiss. Pulling away from him the tears that were once streaming down her face were now gone. Harry just stood there stupidly and un-blinking trying to figure out what just happened.

"Harry I missed you over the summer..." She started but then stopped. Tears started welling up in her eyes again but this time she tried to fight them. "Hh-Harry I, I uhh..." She continued. Normally this would have annoyed Harry to no end, but he was in such a confused state all he could do was stand there. "I'm so sorry, I never should have left you on Valentines day last year and asked you so many questions about Cedric, I just... its hard." She blurted as the tears in her eyes were becoming more prominent. Harry was afraid if she let one fall it would be like a dam breaking. The last thing he wanted was to be blubbered on again, but he couldn't deny his feelings for her either.

"It's ok," He managed to choke, his throat felt chalky and dry. In the dimly lit corridor he could see a single tear make its way down her face. He braced himself for the worst, but it did not come.

"Do you hate me now? For all I've done to you I'm not sure if I would forgive myself." She said, her voice was getting higher and steady flows of tears were now tumbling down her cheeks.

Harry shook his head no, which was really all he could do at the moment. He felt lucky he could still move his head. Cho gave him a relieved expression and pulled him into a tight embrace. "I really did miss you," She was squeezing him so tightly Harry was certain his head would explode. He was so confused, he didn't know what to say he really, REALLY liked Cho but she was so emotional with him. He –had- missed her too but he couldn't get himself to say that.

"I'm being so weird," Cho said letting go of him. She wiped away the tears from her eyes and gave a weak smile.

Harry tried to speak but again was cut off, this time by footsteps coming down the corridor behind him. Cho's eyes widened and she turned away from him, "Meet me here tomorrow?" She whispered as she walked away.

"Did I interrupt something?" A smooth, cold voice cooed from behind him, Harry turned around and his stomach did an odd flip. The butterflies were gone; his heart felt like it had turned to stone and sunken to the pit of his stomach. His short meeting with Cho had just turned into the kiss from hell.
