"What about your dreams?" Harry asks in confusion and Lila sighs.
"My dreams Harry! Don't you understand? I saw everything. I could tell you every detail from the Chamber of Secrets. I can tell you Ronald Weasley's biggest fear, and it doesn't involve spiders. I could tell you most anything you want to know about anyone! That's why the dream, this dream, scared me so much. I don't usually dream fantasies Harry. I dream truth."
Harry just sits there a moment watching the tears build up in Lila's eyes; he sits frozen, unable to speak or move when Professor Trelawney comes up from behind him. "What is it dear!?" She asks in her overly dramatic voice. "Have you Seen something that's upset you?"
Lila hesitates for a moment then shakes her head no, "It's just my allergies ma'am" She replies innocently. Professor Trelawney looks disappointed then walks away. "So, you think I'm crazy then?" Lila asks Harry.
He just stares at her for a moment, "I... I ... no, I just don't know what to think really." He says honestly.
"Well I least I feel better," Lila says scratching her head. "You're the first person I've ever told Harry."
"Dumbledore doesn't know?"
"Well I didn't tell him if that's what you mean," She shrugs. "I don't see why he needs to-"
"Do you dream things in advance? Like, when did you find out about the Chamber?" Harry asks quickly.
"Right before Ginny Weasley went missing I took a nap," Lila says looking up at him. "Why?"
He scowls at her slightly, "And WHY the hell didn't you say something?"
"I was afraid! Afraid of what people might say about me, they might have thought I was Slytherin's heir or that I had some part in it and-"
"They thought I was Slytherin's heir, you could have really helped out a little there Lila." Harry says a bit of a bitter tone in his voice.
"And what would me coming forward have proved? If I would have said something you might not have gone down there and saved her!" Lila says becoming more and more angry. "Maybe I shouldn't have told you! I thought I could trust you Harry!"
Harry silences, "You can, I just... I dunno. Why me? Why not Hermione or something?"
"Well if you rather forget one flick of my wrist and the whole thing can be erased from your mind, if I do it right."
"No, no, I just wanted to know why you picked me. You seemed a lot closer to her."
"Well maybe I thought you would handle it better than her. Can you imagine? She would have sent me straight to Dumbledore. You on the other hand, can relate a little better, especially after last year when you saw what happened to Mr. Weasley."
"That's not the same," Harry says shortly.
"I know," Lila reassures him.
"What else do you know?" Harry asks.
"What do you want to know?" Lila replies with a half smile on her face.
"Who's your secret admirer?"
"If only I knew!" Lila laughs, "I was hoping I would just ... well you know. But for some reason nothing ever came to me." She shrugs.
"You know, Pavarti and Lavender want me to talk you into trying to figure out the clues again." He says with a side-glance at the pair who were staring into a foggy crystal ball.
Lila roles her eyes, "I couldn't even figure out the first clue Harry. Ron figured it out before me! What am I supposed to do with the color green? Its hopeless." She says looking from Pavarti to him, then back to Pavarti. "...Wait a minute. I'll be right back!" She jumps up, grabs her bag, and hurries over to Pavarti and Lavender without another word.
