A/N: Thanks for the reviews guys! I appreciate your advice! Here's the next chapter, sorry if its short, still battling writers block.
Harry opened his mouth to answer, even though he really didn't know what to say, when Lila hushed him. "Did you hear that?" She asked staring off behind him. Harry shook his head no, "Something was moving in the bushes." She says walking past him, Harry watches her with a confused expression. Lila pulls her wand out of her robes and points it at the bushes. "Come out or I'll hex you all the way to America." She calls and the bushes movie again, "Well I warned you," As Lila started to recite the beginning of a spell the bush made a violet rustle and two girls rolled out of it. "What the? PAVARTI? LAVENDER!" Lila bellowed.
Pavarti and Lavender blushed fierce shades of crimson, Lavender cursed under her breath and muttered something to Pavarti, in turn Pavarti smacked Lavenders arm, "Its not my fault it was you who-"
"What are you doing here?" Harry stared at them.
Lavender spoke first, incredibly embarrassed. "Well we saw Lila leave the common room and we followed her wanting to speak with her but when she started talking to you we kinda... hid so we wouldn't screw anything up between you two." Pavarti nodded agreeing with her friend.
"We really didn't mean anything by it, sorry guys." Pavarti blushed and started walking away.
Lila laughed, "Are you serious?" Pavarti gave her a weird look and nodded along with Lavender whose cheeks were still quite red. Lila put her wand back in her pocket, "What is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"
Lavender and Pavarti looked at each other and exchanged looks, "Do you remember?" Lavender whispered to Pavarti and Pavarti shook her head no. "Well, apparently nothing very important. Uhm, carry on!" She said and both girls, still quite embarrassed, made their way back up to the castle. When they were out of sight Lila started laughing.
"Weird girls," She muttered, her back still to Harry.
Harry laughed awkwardly, "Well I suppose I'm glad it was them and not," he paused and muttered, "Speak of the devil."
"Huh?" Lila raised a brow and looked in the direction Harry was looking and groaned, "Snape." The pair both exchanged 'Oh shit' glances. "What do we do now?"
"Get detention," Harry shrugged.
"Well well well, if it isn't young Mr. Potter and oh, a new girlfriend perhaps? Poor Miss Lewis." Snape started. Harry and Lila both cringed. "You do realize that you are out on school grounds after hours?" The two said nothing, "Come with me, we'll have to talk to Dumbledore about this one." Snape said leading them back to the castle.
"Wonderful," Harry breathed to Lila who stared down at the ground.
Professor Snape lectured them all the way to the castle but Harry and Lila didn't hear much of it, they were too busy dreading what would happen in Dumbledore's office. "Peppermint Toads." Snape told the statue in front of the hidden staircase that led to Professor Dumbledore's office. Within seconds Harry and Lila found themselves seated in front of Professor Dumbledore's desk. "These two were out on the Quidditch Pitch after hours, that's against the rules and Mr. Potter here still feels he is too good for the rules and continues to break them. May I remind you this isn't the first time he's been in trouble. This could count as expulsion and-"
"Thank you Professor Snape, I will see to it that they are punished." Dumbledore says as the door to his office opens on his own. "Goodbye Professor Snape." Snape shoots Harry and Lila a dirty look before vacating the room. "So Mr. Potter, Miss Lewis, what were you doing out after hours."
They both looked at each other, "Well, sir, you see I, I went out to fly around a little after supper and didn't realize how late it really was-" Harry started but Lila finished for him.
"I, uhm, had to find Harry because of, erm, something I told him today I had to..." Lila paused, "I was worried."
"I see, Miss Lewis, what exactly was it you were worried about?" Dumbledore asked pleasantly.
"A silly nightmare sir, I realize I shouldn't have but it really upset me."
"And why is that?" Dumbledore asks sweetly.
"No reason," Lila gulps. She just wanted to use that excuse in hopes of getting a sympathy vote from Dumbledore to weasel hers and Harry's way out of detention. She didn't intend to tell him the nightmare or about her other dreams at all.
"There must be a reason," Dumbledore says smiling at her. "Unless you are lying, then I would be obligated to give you double detention." He adds.
"No! I mean, no that won't be necessary," She says. "But if I actually told you about it you wouldn't believe me and I'd get those detentions anyways."
"Oh I don't think so Miss Lewis, I'm very open minded I assure you." He says.
"No I really must insist that it is very stupid and that you will laugh." Lila says squirming in her seat a little.
"If it worries you it is no laughing matter Miss Lewis." Dumbledore said expectantly, though his pleasant attitude hadn't changed.
"Really sir I-"
"Miss Lewis, if you do not wish to tell me that is fine, but both you and Mr. Potter will receive detentions if you cannot explain your actions."
"IhadanightmareaboutmegettingkilledbyHe-who-must-not-be- namedandHarrywasinit!" Lila blurts in one breath.
"Is that all?" Dumbledore says not sounding worried at all.
"No sir you don't understand! Everything I dream comes true sooner rather than later," Lila says with a pleading look.
Dumbledore nodded, "I wondered if you had inherited this trait Miss Lewis."
"What?"
"How long have you been able to see future events in your dreams Miss Lewis?" Dumbledore asks her looking over his half moon glasses.
"For as long as I can remember," Lila mumbles, "What do you mean inherited?"
"I wondered if your parents had told you," Dumbledore starts, "Lila, your Grandmother could do the same, and as far as I know her Grandmother could too."
"Really?" Lila says staring at him like he was crazy.
"You mean that sort of thing runs in her family?" Harry asked, speaking for the first time in a long time. Dumbledore just nodded.
