"Excellent... This is all going according to plan."

Yui ducked around the corner. "What?"

"Nothing. Just talking to myself, that's all."

"Tadaima!"

"Sorry to intrude..." Rei looked at Shinji nervously.

"Please, come inside." Shinji finished recklessly pulling off his shoes and grabbed her hand, pulling her into the hall. "Mom! Dad! I'm home!"

Yui pulled out of the kitchen long enough to greet them. "Hi Shin-chan, how are... Oh, and who do we have here? Anata, come look at this!"

Gendo came out of the living room. "Yes, dear... Oh my, what a spitting image of my wife! Who would have thought my son would have Oedipal Complex?" When Gendo makes a joke, it's good to laugh, even if it's not funny, since it's a rare occasion.

Yui forced a response. "I'll take that as a compliment, Shin-chan."

"Let's go," Shinji whispered, tugging on Rei's sleeve.

They took a left into Shinji's room while his parents were laughing at their own bad jokes.

"Your parents are weird."

"Yeah, not to mention not funny."

"Let's make out."

Will they make out?
