A/N: This will soon be used in a fanfiction of mine, concerning one of Professor Trelawney's in-class predictions, but I wanted to post the poem up to just get feedback. I might remove it when the story goes up, I might not. You decide. Its about a girl being raped.
She's lying in the peace
of her make-believe world
the one she's been trapped in
Kept away from the harshness of reality
The mirror will soon be shattered
He's the monster of her dreams
Night-time terrors that pull her down
the one she's convinced herself that isn't real
Comforted at his absence when she wakes up
She won't be waking up this time
The first crack of glass begins
His touch is ice-cold and foreign to her skin
She has no time to gasp
when each piece is ripped away
The inescapable horror takes her
Can't you hear her?
Screaming silent calls for help
Crying hot tears of scalding fear
As innocence becomes defilement
and purity is broken glass
No one answers
and she gives up in the face of pain
Crimson is black on torn flesh
Scarlet blood is ebony hatred
He leaves her in a circle of ignorant consequence
