Alright. Now, I don't know every little fact about The Lord of The Rings, so if I make a mistake, please don't flame me. I'm simply using J.R.'s characters, a a few of his settings. The human names I've made up might not be believeable to be a middle earth name. Too bad.

The plot of all other chacters that aren't T's are mine and mine alone.

Chapter 1: Leave?

Eomer,' Afireweil sighed, shoving him over slightly so that he sagged in his seat.

I don't understand why you must leave, though, Afireweil. I cannot see why-'

You can not see the reasons behind ANYTHING I do, Eomer, so what's the difference now?' Afireweil looked over at him, her green eyes cloudy.

I'll miss you, that's all.' Eomer shook his head. He never was one for feelings and mushiness. Afireweil smiled and reached over, taking his hand.

We have been friends for a long, long time. Too long it sometimes seems,' She gave him a little wink before continuing.

In other words, my dear Rohirian, even though we may be physically distant, you will always stay in my heart. And, I will come home. I just need a month or so.' Afireweil patted his shoulder a little thens tood up, smoothing out her cream colored dress.

But WHY are you going?'

My cousin lives in Minas Tirith. I'm going to stay with her for a while.'

But WHY?' Eomer pressed, turning around. He grabbed her hand and held it to his chest while he stood up.

I miss her. And I need a change of pace. I want to explore the world, Eomer. And this is just the first step of me doing exactly that.' Afireweil smiled slightly. Sure she wanted to go. She wanted to see Gondor for herself. Stories weren't enough. But she didn't know how she would feel leaving Eomer behind. Usually she was the one following him. She and him grew up together. They were almost always together. Afireweil even had slight feelings for him. But she always pushed them away, knowing that he would just see her as a sister. But even as a sister to him, she would still miss him a great deal.

I want you to be happy. But I also want you home in a month.' Eomer smiled, sighing. He leaned down and gave her a hug, wrapping his strong arms around her shoulders. Afireweil smiled and hugged him back.

It was an adventure. An adventure with new people and a new place. She couldn't wait.
