Heatwave saw Quickshadow was back and he was happy to see her. He really liked her very much. "Quickshadow good to see you back in Griffin Rock," Heatwave said.
"Good to be back," Quickshadow said. "I am looking forward to spending some time here when not doing things I need to work on," she said. "I am happy to see you," she said.
"I am happy to see you too," Heatwave said. "Well Quickshadow I was wondering if you would like to go for a drive with me sometime," he said.
"That does sound rather nice," Quickshadow said. "What time works for you?" she asked.
"How about around noon today?" Heatwave asked.
"Sounds good," Quickshadow said.
Heatwave was kind of excited he started to get ready with some washing, wax, polish and buffer. "What is going on is Optimus coming?" Kade asked.
"No," Heatwave said.
"Then why are you washing up, waxing, polishing and buffing yourself?" Kade asked. Then realized something. "I see you got a date, and let me guess it's Quickshadow," he said.
"How did you figure out it was Quickshadow?" Heatwave asked.
"I found that picture of her in your stuff and it had little hearts around it," Kade said.
"You know you really shouldn't go through my stuff," Heatwave said.
"Well I didn't find it in your space I found it on the couch three nights ago," Kade admitted.
"Ooh thought I left something there," Heatwave said.
"Nothing to worry about, just do something to dazzle her," Kade said.
"Kade I can handle this myself," Heatwave said.
"Okay," Kade said.
Heatwave headed out and saw Quickshadow there. "Ready for our drive?" Quickshadow asked.
"Yes," Heatwave said.
They drove around town side by side. "Hello Heatwave and Quickshadow," they heard.
"Hey Hayley," Heatwave said.
"I was just about to stop by the fire house and see Kade about our date," Hayley said.
"So Kade and you are going on date tonight?" Heatwave asked.
"Yes what are you two doing?" Hayley asked.
"We are kind of on date ourselves," Quickshadow said.
"Oh how lovely," Hayley said. "Well enjoy yourselves." she said.
After a couple of hours of driving they made it back to the fire house. They sat and they watched TV. Things were going rather smoothly for them.
Quickshadow was staying for a while and they had a few dates during that time. Their love started to bloom. Quickshadow had decided to stay for a bit longer. She figured a longer stay couldn't hurt.
Life was pretty good. It was nice day and Heatwave and Quickshadow were on a date. It started to rain and storm. They rushed into a cave. "Ugh look at it come down and look at all the winds blowing." Heatwave said.
Then some trees and rocks landed on the entrance of the cave. "Oh great," Quickshadow said.
"Come in team, Heatwave calling is anyone there?" Heatwave asked.
The team at the firehouse heard. "Come zzz in zz-eam, Hea-zzz-wa-zz calling zzzz there?"
"It's Heatwave," Boulder said.
"Heatwave speak up we can barely hear you," Blades said.
Heatwave heard Blades cutting in and out. "Quickshadow and I are trapped in a cave in this storm, come and save us," Heatwave said.
"We will as soon as the storm is over, this storm is a doozy, it's to dangerous to go out now," Chief Burns said. "So sit tight," he said.
"Understood," Heatwave said. He turned to Quickshadow. "Looks like we are stuck here for a while," he said.
"Looks like it," Quickshadow said.
They started to relax and hoped the storm would be over soon. Then they started to talk and continued to comfort talk during the raging and horrible storm. Then they fell into stasis. Then the morning came and they woke up.
"Sounds like storm stopped," Quickshadow said.
"Yes and I hear the team coming," Heatwave said.
"That is such a relief," Quickshadow said.
Then the team dug them out. "Thanks for digging us out team," Heatwave said.
"Are you both alright?" Cody asked.
"Yes we are just fine," Quickshadow said.
"We are both just fine, we are both in one piece," Heatwave said.
"That is good to hear," Chase said.
Heatwave and Quickshadow were spending more and more time together. Then Heatwave came up to Quickshadow. "Quickshadow will you bond with me?" Heatwave asked.
"Yes," Quickshadow said and kissed him.
"Bond what does Heatwave mean by that?" Kade asked.
"It is sort of like marriage between humans, a bonding of Transformers is our marriage, they will stay together for the rest of their lives they share part of their life energy from the sparks with each other thus bounding them with each other, when one dies they usually never find love again because they only feel the love for there lost spark mate because the love they shared with their energies mixed remains in the spark of the living mate forever." Boulder said. "Getting bonded is serious business," he said.
"That's true," Blades said.
"Agreed," Chase said.
"Well we love each other and feel like after these months of dating we are ready," Heatwave said.
"Yes," Quickshadow said.
They called Optimus told him about this. "I am glad to hear this, now with my title as prime I have the right to officiate the bonding ceremony," Optimus said.
"Optimus we would be honored for you to bond us," Heatwave said.
"Most definitely," Quickshadow said.
The Burns family wanted to help. "You can help with it and we will tell you how to help," Heatwave said.
The people of Griffin Rock heard and wanted to help too. They were going to be the first town on earth to have a Cybertronian bonding ceremony. Everything was getting all set up.
Everyone was very excited about this.
The big day came and Heatwave was getting ready. He was very nervous about this and was making sure he looked his best. Now he was ready to go.
Quickshadow was getting ready herself and making sure she was ready for the big day. She was very nervous too just like Heatwave. She was looking forward to getting bonded with her beloved Heatwave.
They made it to the town square where the ceremony was going to start. Heatwave was standing at the altar and saw Quickshadow coming down the aisle and stood there with him. Optimus was standing upfront.
"Everyone we are gathered here today to see the bonding of two bots who love each other very much." Optimus said. "They have made the decision to bond to each other and love each other forever." he said. "Heatwave do you promise to love Quickshadow for the rest of your life, to protect her, to care for her, to comfort her, to be there for her, to be with her no matter what life throws at you till death do you part?" he asked.
"I promise to do so," Heatwave said.
"Quickshadow do you promise to love Heatwave for the rest of your life, to obey him, to care for him, to comfort him, to be there for him, to be with him no matter what life throws at you till death do you part?" Optimus asked.
"I promise to do so," Quickshadow said.
"Offer your promises to each other," Optimus said.
"Quickshadow I promise I will always love you, and be with you, even if sometimes rescue work may cause us to spend some days apart I will always come back to you," Heatwave said.
"Heatwave I promise I will love you always, I will be by your side forever, and even if there are days that are super busy or ones where the time drags on I will make time for the two of us to be together." Quickshadow said.
"Join hands," Optimus said.
Heatwave and Quickshadow joined hands and Optimus pulled out a ribbon and tied it around their wrists. "You may now charge your spark energies to each other," Optimus said.
Heatwave and Quickshadow began to charge their energies to each other. There was a faint blue glow, and then there was a golden glow. Then Optimus took out a pair of shears and cut the ribbon.
"I am proud to present Heatwave and Quickshadow as a bonded pair." Optimus said.
Everybody celebrated and they were so happy about this. There was a big reception afterwards. Many of the bots and humans brought presents to celebrate the bonding it was very exciting to say the least. There was energon and fuel for the bots and food and drinks for the humans.
It was very happy day. That night Heatwave and Quickshadow were outside looking at the stars. "I am the happiest bot in the universe," Heatwave said.
"I am the luckiest lady ever," Quickshadow said.
Then they saw a shooting star. "A shooting star make a wish," Heatwave said.
"I know what I want to wish for how about you?" Quickshadow said.
"Well I know what I want to wish for, but you know we can't tell our wish because it won't come true," Heatwave said.
"That's true," Quickshadow said.
Heatwave and Quickshadow were very happy now they were bonded. It was a very happy day.
They wondered what else the future had in store.
