Matrix

The Struggle

Once there were people

Who created a Thing and gave it a mind

Once there was a war

When the Thing wanted freedom and right

Once there was a struggle

In which the creators were beaten,

Exiled;

Slept their lives through in peace inexistent

Once there was a rule of Machines

And the slavery of humans, and freedom

Was not wished for

Because slavery was not realized.

But then...

Then there was a death

And in death came life.

Then there was the first breath, the first scream,

The first thought that was unbound

By the leashes of Creature.

Then there was a knowledge, the sheer astonishment

Of real reality and falseness of fake.

And there was rage, and there was revolt.

And then there was pity for those who slept still

And there was the will to awaken them all...
