Mum and dad were so proud, a clever daughter, a witch in the family!
It came a surprise of course, I mean, its not really the sort of thing you
can ignore and hope it will just go away. I've learnt that the hard way
with Harry. If only they could see her for what she really was. Lily was
always the odd one out when we were growing up. It brought shame to me just
to be related to her, after she went to That School and I didn't have to
spend hardly an time with her, it got better. But I still knew that Mum and
Dad would always be more disappointed in me than in her. Lily with her
beautiful eyes, her happy look when she talked about school. It made me
feel as if I was the one who was abnormal, not her.
It was always like a competition for Mum and Dad's seeing who could play " happy families" with husbands and then grandsons they would never get to see. It's not fair that I had to put with the result of her getting killed. The boy who could have gone anywhere had to end up living with me, intruding on my family life and being a bad influence on dear Dudders. At least I have my sweet, little innocent Duddy darling to keep me happy. I can trust him not to do anything stupid like Harry.
