O.O 24 reviews?!?! glomps reviewers That's the most reviews I've ever gotten for a single chapter! - Thank you so much guys!
Important: First off, I'd like to say that I am terribly sorry for the delay, and I'm also sorry for this chapter's incredible shortness. However, things have been terribly hectic at the moment. Exams were hell, and then my computer crashed, so I was without internet for a very long while, and the entire computer had to be reformatted and everything had to be re-installed. Then, I found out that I am moving. Buying a house was a pain in the ass and selling it has been a bigger pain in the ass. Of course, my parents do it, but I am constantly getting up and leaving the house, so I have no time. Since I am moving locations and starting off at a new school, I don't know when the next chapter will be up. Once again, I'm so, so sorry, but please bear with me.
Now, on to the story!
Gone to Earth: Chapter 2
When Umi awoke, the first thing she saw were a big pair of ruby eyes staring down at her. Startled by the big pools of fire gazing down at her, she nearly cried out, but she stopped herself while trying to recall what was going on.
"Good! You're awake, Umi!" the big red eyes pulled away, and Hikaru's face came into view.
Umi glared. "You scared me!"
Hikaru only shrugged and Umi rubbed at a bump on her head that had formed after she had fallen. Slowly, she sat upright and noticed she had been moved to a bench after she fell. "Ow... my head," she groaned, then took a moment to look over her surroundings. Lantis was standing behind Hikaru, looking down at Umi, and Clef, Ferio, and Fuu were a few yards away where Fuu was explaining how her cellphone worked to the two fascinated men.
Umi frowned, "Why aren't you as shocked to see these guys here as I was?" she questioned, motioning to the three Cephirian men.
Hikaru rubbed the back of her neck. "Um... Umi, you've been out for a while. Clef's already explained why they're here to Fuu and me—" Umi resisted the urge to fume angrily before Hikaru suddenly looked over her shoulder and call to Fuu, Ferio, and Clef. "She's awake, you guys!"
Clef, Ferio, and Fuu looked up from Fuu's cellphone and rushed over to Umi's side. "Are you all right, Umi-san?" Fuu asked, her emerald eyes gazing down at Umi worriedly. From beside her, Ferio extended his hand to Umi in order to help her off the floor.
"I'm fine," Umi murmured as she took Ferio's hand. The Prince of Cephiro proceeded to hoist her from the ground.
"From your reaction upon seeing us, I suppose you would like an explanation as to why we are here..." Clef trailed off from beside her. Umi looked down at the small man, clad in a hospital gown, tendrils of lavender hair falling freely in his face. She nodded at him mutely.
"It's... quite simple, really. I sensed an evil energy around your planet, and we—Ferio, Lantis, and I—decided to come to your planet and try to investigate the problem. To put in simply, it didn't work as well as I thought it would, and we found ourselves falling from the sky, which, I assume, landed us here. Fuu informed me that this place is a... healing facility?" he glanced at Fuu questioningly, and she nodded.
"A hospital, yes," she said.
Umi nodded. "I see... do you know a way to get back?"
Clef shook his head. "My magic does not seem to work here."
"It figures," Umi sighed. There was a moment of silence, then she clapped her hands together. "Then I guess you'll be staying with us!"
"Here?" Clef blinked.
"Of course."
Hikaru laughed lightly. "But, first things first: we have got to get you guys some acceptable clothes!"
No more than ten minutes later, Ferio, Lantis, and Clef were wearing the clothes they had worn under their robes and armor. It wasn't perfect, but it was as "normal" as they could make the men look.
As soon as Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu informed their employers that they would be leaving early, the group stepped out of the sliding doors of the hospital and into Tokyo. The men were immediately stunned by their surroundings.
"What in the world are those?" Ferio asked immediately, indicating to the street, where cars sped alongside each other.
"Uh... those are cars. We use them for transportation here," Fuu replied briskly.
"They're restricted to the ground?" Ferio grimaced. "How impractical."
Hikaru stifled a laugh, and they led the three men down the busy walkway. Lantis was quiet, as usual, but obviously fascinated by his surroundings. He observed everything carefully, though without ceasing to walk along with the group. When a few school-girls passed, they whispered excitedly behind their hands while staring at Lantis, earning them a glare from Hikaru.
Ferio, however, stopped everywhere to look at anything caught his interest. When they passed a media store, Ferio stared at the televisions in the shop windows, entranced and confused all at the same time. At one point, he walked right into the street at a crosswalk, cars rushing past. Fuu screamed out Ferio's name and grabbed his arm, yanking him out of harm's way while drivers blasted their horns angrily at the green-haired Prince. He, too, caught the attention of passed girls.
Clef, walking by Umi's side, questioned anything and everything, excited to learn about the modern world Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu lived in. He almost got trampled by a few passersby's, and Umi insisted that he stay as close to her as possible to avoid being flattened.
Eventually, they made it back to Umi's house—her parents were out for the day—alive and safe.
Once again, I apologize for it's shortness. TT Please review!!
