Disclaimer: I don't own anything having to do with ER or anything that has
come in contact with it. Hell, I don't own much at all! Oh but I do own
the living Lucy in this story but not the dead one. (
Good day and Happy reading!
.
. Lucy Harder looked down at her watch, 9:12."I'm late. I'm late. I'm late." She repeated to herself as she ran down the sidewalk of Chicago, Illinois. Finally the hospital was in sight. She wasn't sure how long she'd been running but it felt like hours. As she reached Doc Magoo's, she read the sign and laughed. Quickly she ran across the street, car horns honking, people yelling and cursing her as she ran through what was now a mess of angry drivers.
The young woman skipped over to the sidewalk. She laughed at herself thinking that she had to learn to look where she was going.
Standing outside the hospital was Dr Carter and Dr Lewis. Carter laughed as he turned to his colleague, "I guess we've got ourselves another crazy med.- student." They both sighed, as they knew the next few months were probably going to be hell.
Lucy cursed as she plummeted to the pavement in front of the hospital. She felt her skin rip as her body collided with the ground. Looking up she saw two people. A man and a woman. 'I hope they're med.-students too. I don't wanna make a fool out of myself in front of the doctors.' She thought as she lied on the ground.
Carter and Susan exchanged looks. "Are you alright?" Susan asked feeling slightly concerned. She saw the girl nod as she stood up. Susan turned back to Carter. "Five bucks says she screws up before the end of the day."
"You're on."
