United we Stand

Chapter 1

Korea had unified to combat the Omnic Crisis. The city of Pyongyang was now a thriving metropolis, and tonight, there was a party on a rather huge barge on the Taedong River.

Kim Jang-Sung, a soldier in Korea's army, was smiling as he drank a glass of champagne. He narrowed his brown eyes as he looked across the river, jumping a bit when he heard a girl sigh. He turned to his left and cleared his throat as he took in her strapless pink dress and heels.

"Evening," he said. "How are you?"

"Swamped," said the girl. "I'm relieved at least someone is talking to me like a normal person instead of being all 'Eeee! It's Dva!'"

"I'm Kim Jang-Sung… and I was taught that celebrities put their pants on one leg at a time like the rest of us… course when your pants are on you win more trophies than there are Psalms in the Bible, but…"

She giggled. "Well I do play to win… when I'm not fighting the Gwishin Omnics."

"I'm well aware of you and that mech," Jang-Sung replied. "I prefer a set of armor and my trusty jingums."

"You must have guts, then! Sure I have a small gun, but outside of Tokki… I'm not as good."

"Well there was one time I bit off more than I could chew. I found myself in…"

That was when the party was rudely crashed.

"Gwishin bastards!" He ran off, grabbing two steel pipes. Clumsier than his swords… but they'd do.

He had no problems dealing with the smaller units buzzing around, knocking them out of the sky. When a man-sized omnic approached, Jang-Sung smiled and bowed, then he began.

"Damn it Tokki, where are you?!" Hana huffed, guessing her mech was undergoing maintenance.

She spun around as a metallic arm swatted her aside. She landed ten feet away.

"Hana!" Dae-Hyun ran over and fell to his knees. "Hana can you hear me?!"

She groaned. "Yeah…"

"Hey… look at me, keep your eyes open."

Hana smiled as she saw Jang-Sung fighting. He seemed to be covering the other partygoers as they fled while shouting taunts at the enemy in English and Korean.

"Hana… Hana, keep looking at me!"

Tokki floated to her side a moment later.

Hana felt herself being lifted and strapped into her mech.

"You hang in there, Hana, don't you dare black out on me!"

As Dae-Hyun programmed Tokki to fly Hana to the nearest Overwatch base, Hana continued to watch Jang-Sung fight. He was falling back… tiring out. He was still going, though!

Hana smiled as Tokki flew her away.

Just before she fainted, she saw Jang-Sung dispatch one of the larger units and whispered…

"Wow…"
