Hello. This is a poem I wrote during English class. Was inspired by a few
quotes in The Lord of the Rings.
Darkened
Riddles in the dark and shadow
Night advancing toward you
Deep and bitter hatred follows
Evil, darkened light.
The cold watches of the night
Shadows dancing near you
Love and good have died away
Evil, darkened hope.
Birds cry a blackened song
Darkness creeps around you
Light and Shadow battle fiercely
Evil, darkened cold.
The crying call of the West
Light whirls onto you
Sun and Moon breathe again
Beauty, brightened warmth.
