Hello all. this is a poem I wrote last fall. It was inspired by Eowyn and
Aragorn's conversation at Edoras in TTT. Before any of you go flaming me,
I HAVE READ THE BOOKS! I just think the movies make the story more
understandable and there are some golden lines in the movies.

What do I fear?

What do I fear?
I do not fear death, for it may be sweeter than life itself.
Death is not unnatural and it is meant to happen.
I do not fear death.

What do I fear?
I do not fear pain; pain makes us stronger and does not last forever
physically.
Emotionally takes longer to heal, but eventually your soul is mended.
I do not fear pain.

What do I fear?
I do not fear the unknown, for that's what it is; unknown.
It can be explored and accounted for; therefore, I do not fear the unknown.

What do I fear then, you ask.
I will tell you what I fear.
A cage.
I fear a cage. Then I cannot become stronger or explore the unknown.
Death would come slowly, yet I would not fear it.
Freedom.
All I want is freedom.
Even if a cage is golden, it still restrains its captive.

What do I fear?

A cage.
