Unfreeze
This part of the Makai was cold. There was snow on ice on permafrost on more ice, and any lava that might have been under there somewhere had long since given up and left in embarrassment.

Touya didn't exactly like it here - just because Ice Masters weren't affected by the cold didn't mean they couldn't feel it - but it was, at least, peaceful. And bright. If Touya spread himself out flat on the ground, he could almost feel the weight of the sunlight.

Suddenly the weight lifted. Touya cracked open one eye and found himself face-to-pointy-ear with a hyperactive Wind Master.

"Jin. Go away."

"Aaaaiiiii! You're alive!" This was punctuated with a flip backwards and into the air. When he came to a stop, Jin hovered about a foot above Touya, wide-eyed.

Touya propped himself up on one elbow, glaring. "Yes."

"Aw, c'mon. You've gotta be cold out here. I thought you'd froze to death!" Jin had a rather disturbing habit of grinning when he said things like that.

Touya raised an eyebrow. "Me. Freeze to death."

"Yeah, sure! Even you can get cold!" Grinning again. Did he ever stop?

"No I don't. Now go away. You're disturbing the peace." My piece.

"Yes you do!" Jin floated closer and put his hand on Touya's forehead. "See? You're cold!" He sat back on the air and rested his chin on one hand. "Now what to do...?"

Suddenly, he looped a circle and flew off. Touya sighed, and lay back down. Hey, at least he was gone...

Something that was most definitely not natural, and also most definitely fuzzy, came to rest on his head.

"!?" He sat up quickly, his exclamation cut off when his head ran into something that squished. "Jin, what the - I thought I told you to leave?" He pulled the blanket off his head and practiced his deathglare.

"Aw, I was just tryin' to help," the floating demon whined. He'd taken up a post on his stomach about six inches away from the ground - apparently he'd been what Touya'd run into.

Another sigh, a toss, and a few ice shards, and the blanket lay in shreds around the pair. Jin pouted for a moment, and then his expression changed to a rather evil-looking grin. "Fine. I'll try somethin' else!" Repeating his loop of a moment earlier, he disappeared.

...Just brilliant.

Touya didn't have long to wait before the Wind Master returned; this time, he had to use a flash of ki to freeze the boiling water that headed his way.

"And what was the point of that?" he asked, coldly and without trying to make eye contact.

"Well, it woulda warmed you up!"

"...idiot."

"Hmph." Jin turned to leave. "Don't worry, I'll be back!"

...That's what I'm worried about... Touya closed his eyes again. It didn't appear he'd be getting any real rest for a while, but with uncharacteristic optimism he figured he could at least try.

"Ah-HAH! I know what you need!" came a very loud voice from above.

Without even bothering to open his eyes, Touya snapped "Now what?"

Something warm and soft pressed against his lips. His eyes flew open to find Jin... kissing him. The kiss was broken quickly, and Jin grinned madly.

Touya felt the pink, hot blush spreading across his cheeks.

"I told you I'd warm you up!"
