Little White Lie
Over the course of the Dirty Pair's life, the girls have been witnesses to some of the most incredible, amazing, and down right bizarre events of indescribable wonder. From robotic criminals, to 15 year old assassins, Kei and Yuri have seemingly seen and done everything there is to be done. But for the first time in Kei's life, her heart was about to be eternally scarred, and her life changed forever. For Kei was witnessing the death of her son.
"NO" Kei screamed, her voice vanishing under the sudden crashing of her now broken heart. Blackheart burst wildly with dark laughter, grinding his blade deeper into the mangled body of Keitaro. Tears and fury screamed from Kevin and Kei, their whole life destroyed right before their very eyes. Yuri burst into sobs as she refused to watch this barbaric event. The blood oozing from the white blanket filled the cold black eyes of Blackheart.
Out of all the horrible, tear drenched faces of the 3WA; only Touma seemed to be wearing a smile on his face. A smirking Blackheart cackled "Better start shopping for a baby sized casket" he laughed. Suddenly Keitaro's eyes widened, they became white and red numbers appeared. Baffled beyond his white haired wits, Blackheart could only watch the numbers drop to 5, 4, 3, 2, and finally 1. "NOOOOOO" Blackheart screamed as he burst into flames.
Keitaro's little baby body suddenly exploded and unleashed a powerful explosion that completely incinerated Blackheart. Kevin's torn tuxedo arms quickly shielded his beautiful bridge, wincing brown eyes at the awesome blast. Yuri coughed out globs of pitch black smoke. The blast eventually died down, and there was no sign of either Blackheart or Keitaro. "What the hell was that?" Poporo asked, "...now that's fucked up" Caldee replied.
Suddenly the sound of youthful giggles filled the air, Kei's watery green eyes widened at the sound of a particularly familiar voice. "It can't be, but that's...AH ITS KEITARO, HE'S ALIVE" Kei screamed. Garner smiled and adjusted his crackled glasses, cuddling Keitaro safely. Even Kevin was at a loss for words, he removed chunks of dirt from his blue hair as he followed Kei. The young love birds eagerly hugged Keitaro into their arms.
The sweet child giggled happily at the feel of kisses and hugs from his parents. "I don't believe it, I mean this, this is a miracle" Kevin said as he wiped away his tears. Kei sighed eagerly rocking Keitaro back into her arms once more, "But wait if this is Keitaro then who did Blackheart stab?". Touma chuckled "Come on girls surely you recall I'm a whiz and whipping up sacrificial androids, that Keitaro was in fact a highly explosive dummy.
While you guys were fighting off all the bad guys, I decided to take in a little extra insurance. I assembled an android replica of little Keitaro here, and kept it hidden until the time was right. I ran out and fell on purpose so that Blackheart would take the bait. Unfortunately for poor Blackheart, he couldn't tell the difference between my bomb baby and your real baby. Pretty clever don't you think?", Kei and Yuri both quickly punched Touma.
"YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD US EARLIER" the girls growled, crunching their knuckles into Touma's black and blue bruised face. But the day was done, the battle had been won, all of the friends and family were fine, and Kei and Kevin had their baby boy again. Poporo immediately called a postponement on the wedding so that they could clean up the whole place.
The very next day, everyone was all cleaned up and the debris, dead bodies, and endless amounts of bullet shells were wiped clean away. Wedding bells clanged as the ceremony started up once again. The friends and family had smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes, watching the lovebirds join hands. Kapps smiled and announced "And now per as Kei and Kevin's instructions, it's time for you 2 to exchange vows. Take your time please".
Slowly Kevin turned his bright brown eyes to Kei's green ones, small teary droplets rolling down their smiling faces. "Here you go firefly" Harrison said as he placed the vow index cards in his daughter's hands. Kei chuckled softly at that ridiculous nickname "Thanks pop". Touma smiled as he held Keitaro in one hand, while the other one handed Kevin his vow cards. A great hush fell over the church as Kevin and Kei's eyes met ever so lovingly.
Kei's Vows
Kei smiled "Kevin, or Kev, whichever you prefer (giggle). Looking at you now, and seeing all these people and wonderful things, I keep thinking I'm dreaming. I wake up in the morning and swear sometimes I'm still asleep. Even now some part of me is afraid, afraid that I'm living a lie. Some white little lie, a fairy tale that as much as I love and adore it, it's still a lie. I always feared that I was just some ugly little duckling that was unable to join the swans.
That I was doomed to be alone because of whom I am. Love was a foreign drink to me, something I was sure I'd never get a chance to taste. But that all changed when I met you Kev. One little mission together and I swear I felt like I had grown wings and flown to heaven. You showed me a world I never thought possible, you gave my life a reason, a purpose, a meaning. What better way to repay you then to give you my heart forever and ever".
Kevin's Vows
Kevin smiled back "You know, when I first told the 3WA I wanted protection they were thrilled to have me. But when I asked for just Kei's protection alone, they got a little worried. Everyone warned me saying she was a wild card. Like I was putting my life at great risk by hiring just Kei, I simply laughed. I knew from the very beginning that this was the woman I wanted to fall in love with. That gun crazy Kei was the one girl who could set my heart on fire.
Sweetheart that mission was truly one of the best times of my entire life. You make me sound like such a saint, but in truth you're the real heart of the Lovely Angels, it's you who really stands out as a true angel. You treat life as a wild adventure, and every adventure you do only stuns me more and more. Your skills are matched only by your beauty, a beauty that few people can see as clearly as I do. I love you Kei, and I'll never stop loving you".
Kapps nodded "By the power vested in me, by the estate of the 3WA, I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride".
"About dam time" Kevin and Kei both said.
The love birds kissed and sighed with glee, Kei and Kevin's eyes closed as their hearts beat rapidly with love. Warm, beautiful, joyful love that consumed their souls and seemed to touch the hearts of everyone around them. A standing ovation of cheers, roaring, and tears of happiness overflowed the church. Yuri sobbed "Way to go Kei, you found a really great guy, you deserved this". Garner and Poporo smiled as they clapped.
"All right now heads up everyone, it's bouquet time" Kei chuckled. The crowd grew rapidly behind Kei, Yuri angrily shoving her way to the front, blue eyes burning brightly. "Okay god Kei has her prince charming now it's my turn, just please, PLEASE, let me catch this bouquet" Yuri preyed. Kevin smirked stroking Keitaro in his tuxedo arms as he watched Kei. Tanned cheeks smiled brightly as Kei shouted, "HERE IT COMES".
The flowers were tossed; the air born bouquet soared high above the wide eyed wedding guests. "IT'S MINE" Yuri shouted as she leapt into the air. People's faces were stepped on as Yuri tried to leap for the flowers, Lilly and Gazelle cried out as the girl shoved past them. Slender finger tips graze over the base of the flowers, Yuri gasped as it slipped from her grip. The bouquet started fall farther and farther away from Yuri and towards another.
Caldee blinked as the flowers landed right into his thieving fingers, the man screamed as he caught the bouquet. Hundreds of forks, knives, and other silverware fumbled from his hands. "Hooo...well...this is...unexpected" Caldee said nervously sweating from his blue hair. "YOU'RE A DEAD MAN CALDEE" Yuri screamed as flames spouted from her lips. Caldee screamed and took off, with Yuri hot on his trail.
Kei and Kevin burst into laughter and simply waved a fond farewell as Yuri and Caldee exited. "Finally were married, together forever, bound by love eh my love?" Kevin said, Kei smiled "The way you talk it's mmmm kiss me hubby boy". The young Keitaro giggled proudly at the warm hugs from his parents, and even more at the sight of them kissing. Kei and Kevin were married, the BCAN was done for, finally, the lovers were together forever.
