AN: what the hell is fanfiction for, if not for fans to correct or improve the things that we wish would have happened? More Elsa on OUAT? Yes, please! Liam being alive? Yes please!
I still ship Captain Swan, but this Frozen Jewel has been rumbling around in my head. I cannot leave it in my brain, so I'm sharing it on this platform.
Please be kind. I'm creating this on my phone and typos are inevitable. And I don't have a beta. This is all from my head. I'm sensitive to negative criticism, so if you don't think you'll like this, then don't read it. I don't have anything. Please don't sue me. Copyright infringement isn't intended. Killian saw the way forward through the clouds. The peace and lightness of the path was a balm on his heart, he could feel anger and fear leaving him like dandelion fuzz blowing away. The clouds were parting and Killian could see two figures facing him. A few more steps brought them into focus. "Liam?" He said with shock and happiness in his voice.
"Hello Killian," Liam replied the smile on his face beaming. Killian looked between his brother and the other figure. While both Killian and Liam wore modern clothes the other young man was dressed in a Roman style. Seeing his brother's uncertainty, Lia said, "Let me introduce you to Zeus."
"As in-" Killian's question was cut off by the young man, or rather young looking man.
"As in an Olympian. Zeus for the Greeks, Jupiter to the Roman's, and my name has changed a few other times in history." Killian's wonder only increases. "Gentleman, I have something for you," Zeus indicated with his arm and the group of three began to stroll through what looked to be a spacious Grecian temple.
A few steps on, and Zeus resumed. "You both were prisoners of my brother's realm. And I'm sorry for the way that he- Hades had- he deserved—" Killian couldn't help but be intrigued by a god stumbling over his words. "Even gods are controlled by an outside force… The Fates. Hades was the oldest of all of my siblings, in a way he was the strongest. But he was also our father's first victim. Looking back, there was a great many things that I should have done for and with my brother. But I was power hungry and selfish. Reining him into the Underworld wasn't a pleasant task that most of humanity has paid for."
The group continued on their walk in silence as the two mortal men thought over what Zeus said. "Killian, I'm sending you where you belong. And Liam, I don't feel right about sending Killian without you. What I'm doing is not what the Fates would like. But they and I have had words. They don't agree with this, but I convinced them and they sore to not interfere." Killian and Liam shared a questioning look. They didn't know what was next, perhaps it was the calming nature of this place, but both felt a sense of trust. Zeus indicated for them to continue walking without him.
"Thank you," Liam said quietly looking back. He saw Zeus smile and then disappear. The loudest thunderclap assaulted his ears and he reached for Killian instinctually. Killian's hand was reaching for Liam as well and they clasped their arms around each other. Killian didn't feel fear exactly, but the noise wasn't something comforting. But as the noise dissipated, he and his brother opened their eyes on a somewhat familiar scene.
"Swan?" He said as he observed Emma in the Storybrooke Cemetery. Sadly, Killian was somewhat familiar with the location, albeit the Underworld version.
"Killian?" Emma whispered, then screamed as she ran towed the two men. She threw her arms around him, laughing and crying simultaneously. Liam took a step or two back as he happily observed his brother and Emma embracing and kissing. He heard Killian explaining. Then they turned to him, and Killian explained more fully that Zeus allowed Liam to come back as well as Killian. The Emma told them sadly of Robin's demise and the trio took a long moment to pay respects at the newest grave.

It took some time, but Liam began to settle into Storybrooke. He made fast friends with Belle, as the two of them having more studious minds. David and Snow always the advocates for hope and redemption invited and guided Liam into his new life. Killian might have felt jealous except that he was so happy that his brother was alive and with him! As he and Emma settled into their new house and life together, Liam stayed at Granny's Inn and got a job at the library with Belle.
Months went by as the multiple crisis' that the town was susceptible to calmed and everyone began to feel a sense of normalcy. A warm summer breeze blew through the town one Spring day. The warm breeze was a few degrees warmer than what the current weather felt like, and anyone outside felt lighthearted as the warmth passed over their skin. The breeze was fleeting but it carried a message- literally. An envelope was carried on the wind current, catching people's eyes. A few like Leroy grabbed for the letter but a giggling sound could almost be heard as the letter swirled upward and away.
Emma Swan sat at her desk with the last week's paperwork nearly done. Her father was across the office and they both heard the faint knocking. It sounded like a stick tapping on the glass door of the station. David, closer to the door, opened it to see a stick floating in the air, and the stick had indeed been tapping on the door. The stick fell as if an invisible hand dropped it, and the warm breeze and letter flew into the sherif station. Here the breeze calmed and didn't disturb too many papers. Emma had looked up when she'd heard David's startled exclamation and watched in wonder as the letter flew towards her. It landed on her desk.
Emma looked around and didn't see anyone. "Hello," she ventured. The breeze whooshed warmly around her. It nudged the letter on her desk towards her. "Umm— thank you?" Once Emma picked up the letter a giggling sound accompanied the breeze as it seemed to exit the building.
"What was that?" David inquired.
"I don't know," Emma replied. And picked up the letter. "Only one way to find out. Wait," Emma said as she looked at the envelope, "Aren't these Arendalle Crocuses? Maybe this is from Elsa!"
She opened the letter and began to read.
Dear Emma,
Elsa and I hope that you and your family are all well. So much has changed since we left Storybrooke and returned home. The first, is that Elsa and I learned more about our past, our parents' past, and have done all we could to correct the errors made by our grandfather. Elsa felt it best if she step down as queen and join the people of Northuldra. Since you are reading this letter, Gail, the name we gave to the wind, brought it to you. Northuldra has opened our eyes to the spirits of our realm. Becoming queen wasn't something I ever wished for and I can only hope that I can be an effective leader for my people.
Kristof and I were married and are expecting our first child! I cannot tell you how happy I am, the joy in my heart bubbles over from time to time and I can't seem to stop smiling. Kristof does so many wonderful things and takes my mind off of troubles. Which is why I'm writing.
The three of us want to visit Storybrooke again! Elsa wants to visit you and Storybrooke's library for more information on her powers, and Kristof and I want a small vacation before the baby comes! We plan to arrive in three days and we're using the portal that brought us home. Oh Emma! I'm looking forward to seeing you again, and Kristof has been talking about David non-stop! Elsa hasn't said, but I know that she misses you!
All our love,
Anna I of Arendalle
Emma looked up from the letter, happiness shining in her eyes. "Read this," she said passing the letter to her father. Later the same day, when she and David met Killian and Liam for lunch, she brought the letter with her. Killian was happy for Emma, knowing how much she and Elsa got along. Liam was happy that he wouldn't be the only new person in Storybrooke. Everyone generally seemed to be looking forward to visitors.
