Hello all Storm here with a new story idea! This story is actually inspired by an old one by "pain17ification", with it basically being about Naruto being turned into a Genie, so credit of the idea goes to them. But they also deleted the story, so I decided to do my own Genie!Naruto story, one I hope you'll all like. So, without further ado.

I own nothing

Walking through the forest, a seven-year-old Naruto Uzumaki scowled as he aimlessly kicked a rock.

'Stupid teachers, stupid Academy, stupid everything!' Naruto thought angrily since it seems like everything and everyone is trying to be against him today.

First, he ended up sleeping in because his alarm clock wouldn't go off, leading to him being late to the Academy, where he then got detention for being late and "disrupting the class". Then he had to deal with being called on to answer questions that he doubted anyone in the class knew the answer to, then it was onto the daily sparring matches, where he got beaten up repeatedly by his opponents. When the Academy finally got out, Naruto was stuck having to stay behind, having to clean all the windows and the blackboards in all the classes, and he was sure that at some point his reflection started laughing at him. Finally, when he went to Ichiraku's to get some ramen, he found out they were closed for the day.

All and all, Naruto really hated today and had decided to go out into the forest to be alone for a while, not even having the desire to pull any pranks on anyone.

Though as he was lost in his angry thoughts, Naruto failed to notice something sticking out of the ground, in front of him. Leading to the whiskered blonde to letting out a yelp as he tripped over the object, before falling to the ground.

"Can't I get a damn break?!" Naruto shouted, wondering if the world itself was against him today.

Getting up, Naruto looked at the offending object that tripped him, only to be confused, when he saw what looked like a bottle sticking out of the ground. Curious as to why the bottle was seemingly buried out in the middle of the forest, Naruto dug it up, pulling it free once it was unburied.

Now getting a better look at it, Naruto saw it wasn't a bottle, but a gold colored lamp with a few dirt stains on it from being buried.

'Wonder what this was doing buried out here?' Naruto thought, seeing it looked to be in fairly good condition, thinking someone must have thrown it out.

Deciding to take it home just in case anyone tries to take it from him or think he stole it from somewhere. Given how the villagers enjoy whispering behind his back or spreading negative rumors about him, Naruto held the lamp tightly as he ran back to the village, heading straight for his apartment.

*Later*

Arriving back at his apartment, Naruto sat on his bed looking at the lamp, now questioning himself on why he bothered bringing it home or what he's supposed to do with it.

'I guess I could try selling it to a traveling caravan.' Thought Naruto, given they don't deny him the chance to buy or sell stuff, or overcharge him, like how places that are native to Konoha do.

So, he could see if the lamp is worth anything, knowing he could always use some extra money besides the monthly stipend he gets. Though Naruto figured he should clean the lamp to make sure it's in the best possibly condition, as he began rubbing away the dirt spots on it.

Only for the boy to be shocked, when pink smoke began flying out of the lamp in a large swirl, with Naruto only being further shocked when the smoke faded away, revealing a strange looking man.

He has a short crop of black hair under a pink and purple hat, a small black goatee, and sideburns running all the way down his face. He is short and stubby and has a thin black moustache that ends in swirls. He wears a pair of light red sun-glasses and a long-sleeved pink changshan shirt with a black open vest over it. Along with having two golden bracers firmly locked around his wrists.

"Who the hell are you?!" Naruto shouted in shock at the appearance of this strangely dressed man, who seemingly came out from inside the lamp.

"Greetings my master, I am the Djinn of the Lamp, ask and I shall grant you three wishes. Though I cannot resurrect those who have been dead for more than year or have died of natural cause, grant power greater than that of the gods of this realm, making people fall in love, time travel, wish for more wishes or kill anyone who is truly innocent, such as young children, infants, or the rare good and honest people." The Djinn said dully sounding like he would rather be anywhere else.

"…Eh?" Said Naruto blinking in confusion, not sure what else to say, while the Djinn sighed tiredly.

"You rubbed my lamp and released me, meaning I will grant you any three wishes no more no less, as long as they don't break any of the rules I just listed. Now can we get this over with." Answered the Djinn, wanting to get this over with.

Naruto's eyes widened in shock at hearing this, any three wishes he could want, as long as they didn't break any of those rules. Normally, Naruto wouldn't believe this guy was lying and just trying to trick him, doubting anyone had the power to grant any wish a person wanted.

But what if he was telling the truth, then Naruto just got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, to get any three wishes he could possibly want granted. Again, normally, Naruto would immediately wish to become Hokage, but he also knew he only had three wishes. So, rather than wish for the first thing to come to mind, Naruto knew he needed to think this through carefully and really be sure of what he wished for.

That train of thought lead Naruto to think about his life and how he was currently treated by the villagers, never knowing why he was hated and never getting answers as to why he was.

"I wish I knew why I was hated." Said Naruto, knowing this was his chance to finally get some answers that the old man wouldn't give him.

"Granted." The Djinn said, waving his hand causing a file to fall onto Naruto's lap, the boy eagerly grabbing it and opening to finally know why everyone hated him.

And what he read made Naruto's eyes widen in shock and disbelief.

'I…I'm the Jinchūriki of the Kyūbi no Yōko…' Naruto thought, not believing what he just read, since everyone in the Academy knew that the Yondaime defeated the Kyūbi.

But if what he's reading is true, then that's a lie and the Yondaime really sealed the Kyūbi inside of him, and that was why everyone hated him, because they saw him as the fox. Though Naruto also saw a sidenote mentioning someone called Danzō Shimura is the person responsible for telling the village his Jinchūriki status. With the Sandaime having been planning to keep it a secret, given the death and destruction that happened that night.

Naruto sat in silence for a few minutes as he let this information sink in, not sure if he should be glad or not to finally know why everyone hates him. With the Djinn, who normally prefers getting the wish granting over with, allowing him to process the information. Knowing such a revelation can be a lot to take in, especially considering he's just a kid finding out he's a Jinchūriki.

After a few moments, Naruto sat the file beside him before looking at the Djinn again, already knowing what his second wish is.

"I wish to know who my parents are and why they'd let me become the Kyūbi's Jinchūriki." Said Naruto, wanting to also find out who his parents are and why they would let him be used to contain the Kyūbi, to be doomed to live a life of isolation and loneliness

"Granted." Said the Djinn, waving his hand again, causing two more files to drop onto Naruto's lap.

Hesitantly, Naruto grabbed one of the files, given he wasn't sure what else to expect after learning he contained the Kyūbi, hoping to not learn anymore shocking revelations. Only for his hope to be unfounded, as it just happened the first file was on his father, someone the Jinchūriki was very familiar with.

"My…Tou-san…he…he's the Yellow Flash…the Yondaime Hokage…" Naruto muttered, feeling faint at learning he was the son of the Yondaime Hokage, Minato Namikaze.

His hero and idol was his father, and also the man who sealed the Kyūbi in him in the first place. His own father was the reason he's hated and alone, because he chose to seal the Kyūbi into his own son.

Breathing heavily, Naruto quickly closed the file and put it with the other, before grabbing his mother's file next. Wanting to think of something, anything, else besides who his father was.

"Kushina Uzumaki, the Red Death and Red Hot-Blooded Habanero. She was the Jinchūriki of the Kyūbi before me, the Jinchūriki after Mito Uzumaki?!" Said Naruto, while looking at the file with wide eyes, not believing his mother was also the Kyūbi's Jinchūriki before him.

Even more shocking was learning both about Mito Uzumaki, the Shodaime Hokage's wife, and the fact there used to be an Uzumaki Clan. Neither of which Naruto has ever heard before, which should be impossible. Since Mito was the Kyūbi's first Jinchūriki and the Shodaime's wife unless someone was trying to erase the Uzumaki Clan from history as well.

Naruto needed several more minutes to come to terms with these shocking revelations, on top of learning he was also the Kyūbi's Jinchūriki. With the Djinn also now, actually, starting to take pity on the boy with all the reveals happening in the span of a few minutes. Learning he wasn't only a Jinchūriki, but also the identities of his parents, with his father being the reason for his Jinchūriki status.

The whiskered blonde eventually looking up at the Djinn.

"Thank you, I know you're only doing this because of the wishes I made but thank you. Since so far, you're the only one who's been nice enough to help me find out the truth of why I'm hated and about who my parents are." Naruto said, surprising the Djinn for a moment, since this is the first time anyone's every genuinely thanked him for the wishes he's granted.

He honestly wasn't sure if he should be grateful at the thanks or awkward since it's never happened before.

"Uh, sure kid glad I could help. So, what's your third wish?" Asked the Djinn, knowing afterwards, he'll be forced back into the Lamp.

This made Naruto remember he still had a wish left; one he honestly wasn't sure he was supposed to do with.

On one hand he could have wished his parents were still alive, but they've been dead for longer than a year, so that's out. He could also wish that the Kyūbi Attack never happened, but who knows if that'll actually save them or could even somehow erase his own existence, not to mention if it counted as time travel or not. And after these revelations, Naruto definitely didn't have a desire to become Hokage anymore, not if it meant putting a village before his own family.

But that also didn't mean Naruto still didn't want to help people in some way, people who actually deserved to be helped, rather than those that hate someone for something they have no control over. With Naruto's eyes soon falling on the files, files he doubted he'd ever get the chance to look at, if it wasn't for him finding the Lamp and releasing the Djinn.

Thinking about it, Naruto soon realized what his third wish will be.

"I wish I had the power to help people, to help them like you helped me." Said Naruto, knowing if he could do the things the Djinn could, then he'd be able to help people no problem by being able to grant them wishes.

With the wish surprising the Djinn, and while he did feel pity for the kid with everything he's learned, the Djinn also saw this as his chance to gain his freedom.

"You wish to help people like I can? In other words, you wish to be a Djinn?" The Djinn asked, wanting to be sure of Naruto's wish, since there are plenty of loopholes that could be exploited in wishes, if you weren't being specific.

"Yeah, I guess so." Replied Naruto, shrugging, while missing the glint in the Djinn's eyes.

"Very well! A Djinn you wish to be, then a Djinn you shall become! Your wish is granted, and you are now the Djinn of the Lamp!" Declared the Djinn waving his hand a third time, grinning as the bracers around his wrists vanished before reappearing on the shocked Naruto's own wrists.

Before Naruto could say anything, he vanished in a swirl of red smoke that was soon sucked into the Lamp, while the now freed Djinn laughed at finally being free, before dispersing in a cloud of pink smoke.

With the Lamp glowing before it transformed into a gold ring with a red gem embedded within it, before the ring soon teleported away.

*Ring*

Naruto reappeared within the Ring's gem, with his attire having transformed into something entirely different. The boy now wearing a purple vest with burnt orange lining, baggy white pants held up by a gold and purple belt, tucked into curly-toed crimson red boots, and the golden armbands around his wrists.

Naruto looked around at his surroundings with wide eyes, only being able to see the inside of the Ring's gem, before looking down at himself, specifically at the armbands around his wrists. With it taking a few moments to register what just happened.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Naruto shouted as he cursed the Djinn for tricking him like that, realizing he was now trapped inside of the damn Lamp-turned-Ring.

After cursing the Djinn out for several moments, Naruto simply sat down panting, before falling back with a groan.

"Note to self, if I ever get out of here, I'm making that bastard pay. And I'm breaking any more lamps I find!" Said Naruto, vowing if he ever finds anymore strange lamps or other possibly magical items, he'll break them into dozens of pieces and scatter them across the oceans.

Sighing in resignation, Naruto knew he couldn't do anything until some found the Ring and released him to grant their wishes. Figuring he might as well past the time by learning about his new abilities, Naruto waved his finger through the air creating multi-colored smoke that began swirling around, following the pattern of his finger.

'Okay, that's pretty cool.' Naruto thought, admitting it's really cool that he now has magic and is capable of granting wishes, as long as they didn't go against the rules the Djinn told him before.

Though that made Naruto wonder; would he still be restricted by those rules, along with still restricted to granting only three wishes, should he ever be freed?

'Guess the only thing I can do, is to wait until I'm hopefully one day freed to find out.' Thought Naruto, while sitting down cross legged as he manipulated the colored smoke around.

Though suddenly, Naruto began feeling a pull on his being, realizing that someone must have found the Ring and was releasing him, as his body turned into red smoke and vanished.

*Real World*

Reappearing in a swirl of red smoke, Naruto looked at the person who found him, seeing it was a woman.

She was a young woman with a slender and curvaceous frame, brown pupil-less eyes, and her violet hair is styled in a short, spiky, fanned-out ponytail. She was wearing a fitted mesh body suit that covers her from neck to thigh. Over this, she typically wears a tan overcoat with a purple in-seam and a pocket on each side, a dark orange mini-skirt, a dark blue belt, and pale grey shin guards. In addition to the typical forehead protector, she also wears a small pendant that looks like a snake fang and a wristwatch.

She was also looking at him in surprise at his sudden appearance. Naruto also recognized her as Anko Mitarashi, someone he's heard about around the village, and who seemed to be a pariah just like him. He had once considered approaching her to see if they could be friends, but he hadn't since he wasn't sure if she'd hate him like everyone else. And the fact that she also terrified Naruto.

"Hello! I'm Naruto Uzumaki, the Dji…Genie of the Ring, ask and I shall I grant three wishes. Uh, but there are some rules, I can't resurrect those who have been dead for more than year or have died of natural cause, um grant power greater than that of the gods of the realm, making people fall in love, time travel, wish for more wishes or kill anyone who is truly innocent, such as young children, infants, or the rare good and honest people." Said Naruto, after remembering the rules, along with changing his title from a Djinn to a Genie, not wanting to be like the asshole that tricked him, with his words snapping Anko out of her surprise before she snorted.

"Look brat, I don't know what prank your pulling or how you did that little appearance, but you aren't gonna fool me." Anko said, highly doubting the brat, who as far as she knew was the deadlast in the Academy and was a known prankster, was suddenly capable of granting wishes.

"Hey! I can grant wishes, and this isn't a prank!" Naruto retorted, annoyed that she didn't believe him, with Anko rolling her eyes, but decided to humor him before chasing him for whatever trick he'll pull.

"Okay Mr. "Genie", I wish for a lifetime supply of dango." Said Anko, crossing her arms under her bust, waiting to see what prank he'll try pulling on her.

"Well, it's better than wishing for a sandwich. Granted." Naruto said, before smirking as he snapped his fingers, with his expression then turning into a confused frown on why he said that.

Then to Anko's complete shock, columns of red smoke appeared in her apartment before dispersing, revealing hundreds upon hundreds of boxes filled with dango. Still thinking this is a trick, one simply more elaborate than his others, Anko went over to a box and slowly opened it. Expecting something to pop out at her, only to see dango inside, the woman shrugging before grabbing a stick. Taking a bite, Anko's eyes widened when she actually tasted it and knew it was real. Not only that, but it tasted better than any dango she's ever had in her life!

Taking a few more, Anko ate them quickly savoring their taste, only to be shocked when she looked in the box to see it had immediately refill itself.

"Holy shit." Anko muttered, while looking around at the boxes, knowing she literally had a lifetime supply of dango, with Naruto smirked smugly at proving he was telling the truth.

"Believe me no-AH!" Naruto screamed, when Anko suddenly grabbed him by his vest with a mad and desperate gleam in her eyes, before pulling down her collar showing her Curse Mark

"I wish this mark was gone, forever, entirely, that it simply goes away!" Said Anko, while shaking Naruto rapidly, seeing this as her chance to finally be free of the Curse Mark that Orochimaru gave her and she refused to lose it.

"Gr-gr-gran-granted!" Naruto said as he was shaken, before snapping his fingers, with Anko gasping a moment later as she felt the pain that's plagued her most of her life, suddenly vanished.

The woman reaching and touching where the Curse Mark would be, only for her eyes widen and actually fill with tears, when she didn't feel it.

'It's gone, it's really gone. It's really gone!' Anko thought in shock and joy that she was finally free of the last thing tying her to her former teacher.

"How…how are you able to do this?" Asked Anko, shocked that Naruto had somehow gained the power to grant wishes, seemingly out of nowhere.

"That's…that's kind of a long story. The short version is that I found this lamp out in the forest and when I rubbed it, a Djinn came out and granted me three wishes. The first two I used to find out why everyone hates and who my parents are, and the third I used it to wish for the power to help people like the Djinn helped me. But the bastard tricked me and instead made it so I took his place as the Djinn of the Lamp, or Genie of the Ring now. So, I'm basically trapped and granting the wishes of whoever finds the Ring." Naruto explained, with Anko looking at him in surprise at what happened, along with the fact he now knew about the Kyūbi.

"So, what's your third wish?" Naruto asked, with Anko remembering she still had one wish left.

And she already knew exactly what she was going to do with it.

"I wish the Snake Sannin Orochimaru was dead, permanently, with absolutely no way of him ever coming back to life." Anko said, while smiling gleefully and sadistically that she won't only be free of the Curse Mark, but she can also kill Orochimaru with him never coming back.

"Granted." Said Naruto as he snapped his fingers, with Anko grinning, as while she couldn't see Orochimaru's dead body, she now knew for a fact that he was truly gone for good.

"Well, I granted you your wishes, so back to the Ring I guess." Naruto said, before vanishing in a swirl of smoke as he returned to the Ring, with the Tokubetsu Jōnin's eyes widening as she looked at the Ring in her hand, before mentally cursing when it vanished.

'Fuck.' Anko thought, cursing herself for not using the third wish to free the brat after learning he was trapped, being too focused on her desire for revenge against her former teacher.

Now she doesn't know where the Ring will end up, or who will find it next.

"Sorry brat, I hope you find someone that'll free you." Said Anko, hoping that Naruto will be found by someone that'll free him from the Ring.

Neither Anko nor Naruto, knowing just how long it'll be until he's finally freed, and all the adventures he'll go on before that time.

So, what did you think, good. Yep Naruto has discovered a Djinn's Lamp (fun fact the Djinn that I use, it's an actual character in the anime appearing in an OVA) and gets three wishes granted, with the first being to learn why he was hated and who his parents, all of which being a complete shock to the boy. With Naruto's third wish being able to help people like the Djinn helped him, which the Djinn interprets as Naruto wanting to be a Djinn himself, leading to Naruto taking the Djinn's place within the Lamp, now Ring, becoming the Genie of the Ring. With Naruto soon being summoned and granting three wishes for Anko, the first for a lifetime supply of dango as proof of Naruto's new powers, and the last two to remove her Curse Mark and kill Orochimaru, with Naruto granting her wishes before returning to his Ring which teleports away to be found a new master. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
