You Never Said Hello
By me
I called,
I prayed,
I waited,
I pleaded.
I remember being a little girl,
Walking into that church,
Nearly every day.
For a while with Grandma.
I prayed,
I kneeled,
I did that cross thing with my hands.
I strayed,
I was thinking,
Thinking about you.
As I got older,
I asked,
Got different answers.
Some said to just call.
You'd answer me.
I never got an answer,
I called you many times.
Never did you come.
Not even a small "hi".
So Jesus, Mary and God,
Became just went back,
To that corner of my mind,
Where all the legends and myths go.
And after reading a bit,
I think,
I call again.
Yet you don't answer.
So I'm just saying "Hi.",
Goodbye,
But that would be,
As you never said "Hello."
Maybe later we'll meet,
But doubt it.
Maybe the others can tell you,
I'm saying "Hi." to you.
So bye-bye,
Sweet dreams,
I'm fine so dont' worry,
I don't.
OH Please don't flame me! I'm not bashing or anything!
