CHAPTER 16
Along with training was the continued renovation of the Uchiha Compound, mainly the patriarchs' house.
As soon as Hinata recovered after giving birth, she and Sasuke started training together.
Eko, who was a fragile little thing, grew stronger too. His hair thicker, his voice louder, his grip harder. All these little details were kept in Sasuke's mind forever, thanks to his Sharingan.
From Ninjutsu, to Genjutsu. Fuinjutsu to just plain Taijutsu. They covered it all.
Sasuke allowed himself to smile as he watched Hinata develop her jutsu day by day. He was meditating with Eko sleeping beside him, but he couldn't help but stare at the art that unfolded before him. Each step was better than yesterday. Each twist of her body, each puff of her breath, spoken poetry only he could hear.
It was a thrill to spar with her, especially in Taijutsu. Hyuuga takes pride in the unique technique utilized by their eyes. It was educational, and Sasuke wanted to understand the other part of Eko's future. His identity.
He wanted to think that it was too early to think that Eko would be a shinobi; it would've been easy to imagine his nephew being an average civilian, working in an industry nowhere near any shinobi's business, but given that he's the son of basically the heirs of two of the most prominent clans of Konoha, it didn't matter if he grew up wanting to be something else, he's a target just by opening his eyes. Sure, he and Hinata can protect him but he knew better than anyone that nothing lasts forever, not even his all-powerful clan.
In their younger days in the academy, he never recalled really paying attention to Hinata. She was never violent or even made an attempt to hurt anyone on purpose.
But here she was, waking up every day to get stronger because she wanted to hurt someone. She wants to inflict pain because she wants to protect someone. At this thought, he looked at his nephew sleeping beside him, bundled inside a thing that resembled a basket, but he didn't know what it was called. All he knew was that it enabled them to carry Eko around and train at the same time.
The baby whimpered and scrunched his face; he woke up as soon as his mismatched eyes opened. A wave of magic washed over Sasuke. It happens all the time. He still couldn't believe that a certain part of his brother was there. That this tiny little thing was breathing and moving and mumbling. That this innocent child was an Uchiha.
"Oi.." He spoke to him and poked his chubby cheeks.
Eko's eyes lit up, and he smiled. Spitting alien sounds that only Hinata, for some reason, understood because she came running toward them.
Her sweat dripped from her chin to her neck. "He's hungry. Again." She smiled
"Is that bad? or Good?" He asked, blinking as he tried not to get distracted by Hinata's presence.
Hinata then took Eko in her arms, the baby yawned and is already reaching for her breasts. "I think it's good? Maybe that's why he's growing so fast." She giggled at his nephew and started rummaging through their pack.
He reached out for the bottle of milk peaking through her bag and gave it to her. "Then will just have to feed him every time he asks for his milk." He watched in amusement as Eko started drinking like there is no tomorrow.
Hinata clutched the front of her jacket. "Oh... Ano... Can you find me some moringa?"
Confused, he turned and asked. "He eats them?"
She blushed harder than when she was training. "No! It's for me, actually. I need them so I can p-produce more milk for him."
He blinked and instinctively stared at her bountiful breasts, although Eko was blocking the view. He cleared his throat. "Okay. Tell me everything else you need."
She bit her lip and seemed to become shyer. "No, that's all really."
"Hn."
"Hinata!" A breeze broke the quiet and awkward moment and a blaze of green flashed before his eyes, his guard was down and his disappointment with himself showed in the grouch on his face. Lee, known for his speed was already standing and towering over Hinata and Eko.
"Lee-kun!" Hinata blushed and squeaked. Behind Lee, was Tenten who had a smirk on her face. "Hey, wow, you're really going at it, huh? In the middle of the forest no less!" Tenten spoke in a teasing manner which made Hinata confused.
"What do you mean?" Hinata asked.
Tenten looked at Sasuke's grumpy face and she knew her team came on the couple at the wrong time. "Your training seems really intense, Hinata. hehe!" She laughed awkwardly, horrified at the idea that they could've disturbed the couple in a more compromising position. She blushed.
Hinata saw Tenten blush, which doesn't happen all the time. "w-what..?" She stuttered.
Sasuke sighed at the never-ending teasing Hinata has gotten since they "got together", her friends won't let the idea of Hinata being a seductress behind closed doors slide. "Any update?" He turned and asked Neji, who is the only normal person he can have a conversation with right now, since Tenten is busy blushing and teasing, Hinata is a stuttering mess and Lee is now carrying Eko and feeding him.
Neji had his mission gear on. His eyes looked tired as he crossed his arms. "Nothing, The village had been quiet for months now; it's a different matter outside these walls tho. Jinjuuriki's are missing from other villages. I'm afraid Naruto was right all along."
That's not good news at all. But better with something than nothing. The mention of missing Jinjuuriki's were concerning, knowing these beings are essentially the strongest weapons of each village. For one to go missing, there must be something out there. Strong enough to stir this type of chaos. It's been over a month since the incident, and since Naruto left to train. He would be lying if he said he wasn't worried about Naruto going missing as well.
Tenten proceeded to force Lee to give Eko back to Hinata. "Well, we best be on our way, Guy sensei is waiting for us. We just wanted to see Eko-Kun before we go on our mission."
"Please return safe and well." Hinata waved goodbye not realizing the next time they meet will be under a different circumstance.
Hinata was busy preparing tea for her guests when she felt a looming presence above her. She looked up and saw nothing. "You felt it too?" Kiba asked, his nose up in the air. "Yes."
It was a beautiful day, the sun was at its peak with clouds giving enough shade, it was the perfect day to train, and with Sasuke gone for a mission with Naruto, her teammates paid her a visit knowing that Eko loved Akamaru, Hinata couldn't help but smile whilst she served the tea to Shino.
It's amazing how in a blink of an eye, everything could change. There was a shift in the air, and before her mind could even register what was happening, her body was moving, her eyes landing on Eko crawling on the floor and Akamaru standing beside him with his hair raised. Hinata kicked herself off the ground and into the direction of her son, as a shockwave blew them away and she blacked out.
"Please.." She begged, "..wake me up with my son safely in my arms."
Note:
I get the concerns regarding Hinata being a teen mom, but.. they're ninjas. In this universe, children are sent on fatal missions, and ninjas have this thinking that they'll die soon enough, and won't even reach old age despite being strong asf. (look at Itachi, Minato, etc.) I'd like to think they mostly go Yolo and so Hinata in fact got in too deep. She really believes that she "loved" Itachi, and being a teen who never had romantic attention from anyone she deemed attractive, she really believed that. Itachi being older, it was more of a one-night stand for him, a pitiful attempt to have one last good memory of Konoha, but he still took care of Hinata and didn't just rape her or whatever. I really want to rewrite the first chapter and make it longer, just to give Itachi more of everything. I wrote it a long time ago, I sucked so bad XD. Hinata was naive, and acted like a rebel for once, not caring about what her family would say and she is facing the consequences of that decision. I don't promote teenage pregnancy at all, but hey this is what fanfic is for, I wanted to write a fic that tackles the characters that I love, being put in complicated situations like teen pregnancy.
I would love to hear your reviews and opinions about these as well.
