"Here we are, the Xavier Institute.That'll be $40, miss."
"Yeah, here," a young woman climbed out of the old, rusted cab and hauled her 3 bags and giant boomerang out of the trunk after politely turning down the driver's offer of assistance, and made her way towards the great mutant mansion.
During her approach, she was apparently in deep thought, and didn't notice the whispered sigh(AN: Can you whisper a sigh?) that escaped her own lips as she pondered her training, "Kagome, I am Kagome."
Kagome's P.O.V.
Why did I come here? Why did I bother?
Actually, she knew why she was here.Because they need my help.And because...Sango would have helped them too.Hell,even Inuyasha would have helped!But, maybe I shouldn't have...Kikyo wouldn't have... NO! I am not Kikyo.
Then who am I? Kagome, I am Kagome.
Normal P.O.V.
She continued her thoughts and failed to notice the oblivious young mutant running towards her with his head turned. Needless to say, she was quite surprised when something slammed into her full force, sending the young warrior and "Mysterious Creature" to the ground.
"Scott! Look what you've done now!" Kagome looked over the bundle of mass on top of her to see an angry red-head.
"I didn't mean to! Besides it wouldn't have happened if you hadn't chased me around the whole mansion!" said bundle of mass replied.
"I wouldn't have to chase you if you would just do the stupid dishes!"
"Um, would you mind getting up please? It's a little hard to breathe when you have two-hundred pounds of human on top of you," and it was true, even with her training Kagome couldn't just toss 200 pounds, and she wouldn't risk endangering a couple of humans with her spiritual energy to blast him off.
Cyclops blushed, and Jean snorted at his stupidity, then went over to help the poor girl, and smack the "bafoon".
"Sorry,sorry,sorry,sorry,sorry,sor- OW! Jean!" said female smacked the poor guy upside the head, again.
"Stop being such an idiot, and carry her stuff, it's the least you could do for making her drop it all."
Jean turned to Kagome,"Hi! I'm Jean Grey.You must be the new girl, nice to meet you," Kagome gladly took Jean's extended hand,"Kagome Higurashi, nice to meet you too!" Jean smiled, Finally! An optimistic mutant!
A loud "Ahem" drew their attention."Oh, I'm sorry! I forgot to introduce you,"Scott nodded,"He's....the idiot." Kagome sweat dropped, and Scott anime fell.
"I am not!" Scott turned to Kagome and offered a hand to shake,"Scott Summers, nice to meet you Kagome."
