Sorry this took so bloody long...in fact, it has taken a few months! Serious
writer's block, I suppose. This chapter kind of brings a new stage to the
story. . . I think. To be completely honest, I have no idea where I will
end up going with this.
"YOU DID WHAT?!?" Will yelled.
Elizabeth's head hung lower. "I kissed Venice," she said quietly.
Will smacked himself on the head. "I thought you thought she was weird!"
Liz shrugged. "I did."
Shaking his head, Will threw his arms into the air and walked away. They were all at the Dunkin' Donuts again so Venice and Jack could get their coffee, and after that, they didn't know where they would go. Damian had it in his mind to go to the docks, Venice wanted to go to a muesem, Jack was hoping for the mall or something, Liz wanted to go to the mall (for different reasons), and Will had no idea. He was somewhat interested in the docks, or a craftshop of sorts (wasn't there a blacksmith somewhere in Port Royale?).
Currently, Venice had given up on the muesem and sided with the mall, and Will had decided to side with Damian in heading to the docks. In the utter confusion of the situation, the two boys gave up and agreed to go to the mall for a little while.
Damian watched as Jack walked to the car. He had such a sexy walk. . . not like Will's galant strides.
Venice caught him, and told the others to wait in the car.
"Why are you looking at Jack that way?"
Damian looked at his sister instead. "I'm not. . . what way?"
Venice gave him THE LOOK. "That, 'Oh, HOT DAMN!' look."
Damian shrugged her off. "Please. You little boyfriend and his. . ." Damian tried to keep the dreamy look out of his eyes, "drunken stumble of a walk can stay with his girlfriend."
"AH HA! So you WERE watching him!"
Rolling his eyes, he shrugged and walked to the car. Venice sighed angrily and stomped after him.
Will had forgotten how long it had taken to go across town and half way through the nearest city, New Tortuga, to get to the mall. He spent the half hour trying decide whether he wanted to look at Liz or Damian. Trying to concentrate on his boyfriend, his eyes wondered to Liz more than would be normal.
But he wasn't the only one looking at Liz. Venice, who was sitting in the front seat and holding hands with Jack while he drove, looked at her through the rear-view mirror a few times.
Damian was the only one who caught her glances. He smirked and thought he had caught a scent of blackmail in the highway air.
But it wasn't only blackmail against others that was floating around. His own moment of passion with Jack left a secret in him, and Venice loved to dig away at secrets.
Jack looked at Venice, then to Damian, then back to Venice again. She was hugging her knees on the seat, seatbelt tucked under her arm because she was so short. Jack looked back to Damian through the mirror as he drove, eyeing his lips.
Damian caught one of these glances and grinned slightly. Jack blushed a little and reached to Venice's hand to rebel against the growing feeling inside of him.
The confused five pulled into a mall parking lot and tumbled out of the car. Venice knew that everyone was confused, and she wasn't entirely sure what about for anyone besides herself. Damian caught the current vibe, and was pretty sure of it, however. This is what he figured:
Venice, though she was almost obsessive over Jack, had kissed Elizabeth.
Liz, being the fifth wheel, had gotten involved by kissing Will, then been brought further in by Venice's bisexual tendencies.
Will, surprised as he was at discovering his homosexuality, had attempted to return to his old habits by kissing Liz. Damian smirked at the idea. That hadn't worked too well.
Jack was the only part of the equation Damian didn't understand. Though he was thoroughly interested in Venice, he had come to Damian and practically begged to be kissed. He had a tantalized walk and a kinky grin that flipped a switch that Damian didn't know he had.
Remembering this, Damian felt his groin tingle. He shook his head, also shaking the feeling away. He had Will. That was all that mattered.
Liz caught Damian's odd shudder. She was curious about what was going on at the moment, but wasn't sure it involved her. Also was the kiss from Venice. It was clawing at the back of her mind, pushing her to jump Venice and get the desire out in raw passion. Trying to figure all of this out, her face contorted. She resisted the urge.
Venice saw Liz's pained look, and practically read her mind. Without much bother at understanding her, Venice looked to Jack.
Jack stared on nonchalantly, swaying in his lanky walk. He had tight black jeans on and they made him look even more feminine then usual. Venice blushed. She suddenly realized that she had been staring at his butt.
Will had been watching how Venice was watching everyone else. She had keen eyes, and he could tell whenever she understood something because they would light up and she would grin mischievously. She had a cute, china doll face that looked adorable even when that evil smile lined her lips. . .
The mall was empty, basically, and soon everyone grew bored. Their minds had been preoccupied, anyway, so they decided to stop by Dunkin' Donuts once more before heading back to the Spade residence.
Getting back in the car, Damian unexpectedly brought up that he would be more comfortable in the passenger seat, and asked if he and Venice could switch places. Venice nodded, then said she wanted to sit in the middle in the back, not next to a window because she got motion sickness.
Damian smirked at the excuse. It made no sense, considering before she had been fine at shotgun.
Will caught on, but said nothing.
Liz kept her comments to herself as well.
Jack, however, never developed that common sense. "Why?" He asked, confused. "You were perfect up here before. You even had the windows down!" He paused. "Ok, what the fuck is going on here? This is starting to confused the hell out of me."
Liz piped up. "Finally someone brought it up. I'm totally lost."
"Me too," Will said uncertainly.
Venice rubbed her arm under Jack's hoody and looked to Damian sheepishly. "Well, I guess we should all just spill."
Liz glared at her immediately, almost daring her to admit to their encounter. Damian looked to Jack uncertainly. Will glanced at Liz.
Jack just stared at everyone, holding no apparent conscience of what had earlier occurred between Damian and himself.
Damian sighed. "Well, since no one else has the balls to tell, I guess. . . "
Jack suddenly burst out. "Damian and I made out."
Venice stared at Jack, gaping. Then she shifted a glare to Damian. "I KNEW you were going to come on to him! Asshole!"
Damian looked astonished at her response. "Please! He came on to me!"
Jack's gaze now bore into his head. "What?! All I asked was a question!"
"Oh, yeah RIGHT! You practically BEGGED me. . ."
Will, who had finally absorbed the information, exploded. "Damian! You were bloody yelling at ME for so-called CHEATING on you, when here you are making out with JACK! WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?"
Liz backed up. She was totally freaked out by the activities going on at the moment.
Venice caught Liz going backwards and followed her. "Come on," she whispered through the shouts, "I can't take this either."
The two girls walked away, heading for a park on the other side of the mall.
The bitching between guys went on for another five minutes or so before someone noticed that the girls were gone. Damian cursed. "We had better go find them."
Ok, that's that for now. I have oodles of time on my hands now, so I should be updating more and more and faster, hopefully.
