Watching silently from their hiding place in the undergrowth, Venice and Liz saw three men get out of the black car and wander over to the tree line. Liz felt Venice tighten up as they both caught sight of the man in the middle.
He was a thin, weasley looking man in black and gray Armani that almost slithered when he walked. The two girls could just imagine him hissing when he talked. On the breast pocket of his suit, and the other two, much larger men was a crest that made Venice's heart stop.
"You two again!" The first officer said, "What kind of trouble do you intend on making THIS time?"
"Us? Trouble?" Jack said, cutting Damian off from saying, "Isn't it obvious that the trouble we're making is the trouble you're pulling us over for?" Which somehow, Jack just knew was coming out of the other boy's mouth.
"Yes!" The officers said simultaneously.
"Wait. . . When did you two get off shore duty?" Damian asked observantly.
The two men puffed with pride in their promotion. "Brought it up with the chief yesterday. He assigned two amateurs to the job."
Jack smiled mischievously at Damian; an opportunity had just presented itself.
"See? I told you sirs that you were upstanding men! I was right!" Jack flattered. "Yeh deserve nothing worse!"
The officers blushed and grinned. "You know, speeding in a parking lot isn't too bad. . . We'll let you two off with a warning."
Jack grinned at Damian and said, "Thank you, gentlemen."
"Not at all. Just be good now!"
"Oh of course, officers!" Damian said as they drove away.
"What nice boys," The first officer said. The second nodded in agreement as they walked to their patroller.
Damian laughed. "Jack, you're amazing!"
Jack grinned. "You should see me in bed!" Damian's eyebrows raised.
"I'll make sure to take you up on that proposition later. . . for now let's find my sister."Will bolted into the trees, coming up quietly behind Venice and Liz. "Venice! Liz!" He whispered, "Are you ok?"
Venice cursed at him, "You idiot! Get down!"
Confused, Liz asked, "What the hell is going on?"
"They're after me," Venice said with a sigh.
"How do you know it's you?"
"The crest they wear is the one of the group after me. . . they must've figured it out."Damian cursed as he saw the crest on the back window of the car. "They figured it out."
"Figured what out?" Jack said, oblivious.
"Who Venice is."James Norrington pulled into the mall parking lot in his red Sedan, sighing about after-school mall traffic. "All this trouble for getting a watch fixed," He muttered.
The watch store was at the far end of the mall, which Norrington liked because that meant he could park in the shade of the trees that grew in the park next to the parking lot. He wasn't expecting the fiasco he was about to get himself into.Driving as fast as possible without getting in trouble, Jack and Damian both cursed when they saw Mr. Norrington step out of a red car right into the middle of everything. They soon pulled up right next to him.
"Mr. Sparrow? Mr. Spade? Fancy seeing you here." Norrington said a little too pleasantly.
Both boys smiled uneasily. "Ditto," Jack said slowly. Damian's eyes suddenly widened, and Jack caught it. . . as did Norrington.
"Damian? What in the name of . . . What's wrong, boy?"
Norrington's question was never answered because both boys took off, whizzing past him into the forest. He turned around and ran after them, confused.
As he got closer, Norrington heard someone, a female someone, yell, "Leave her the fuck alone!" and another female someone scream. In front of him, Jack cursed a blue streak as he and Damian jumped a line of bushes and disappeared into the forest.Venice, Will, and Liz were being backed into the corner of a small clearing of benches when Damian and Jack came bursting onto the scene. Just seconds after they came in, Will got in front of the two girls and James Norrington fell into the clearing as well. The three men in the middle of the clearing were barely distracted though.
The middle man sneered at Venice. "So, demon, we meet again."
Venice dropped her fear for a moment, pushing Will aside. "So, Josh," She mocked, "Still picking on teenagers? I thought you had gone to a therapist for that pedophilia problem."
Mr. Anderson, the small man, turned red. "You will see hell yet, you embodiment of sin." The two men beside him flexed their hands. Jack, Damian, Will and Liz stood still.
Norrington stepped forward. "Now, what in the name of hell is going on? What business do you have with Venice Spa-"
He didn't finish his thought as he was knocked cold by one of the big men. Liz whined a quiet scream.
"So, you go by the name Venice?" Mr. Anderson spat, "Well, Venice, it is Judgement day. . ."
