Chappie 3
Katie had been aboard the Black Pearl for about an hour before a dark skinned pirate appeared.
"Ahh, Ana Maria so kind of you to finally turn up, I sent for you about an hour ago" Jack was trying to sound and look angry, but it was hard for him, because Katie could tell he really wasn't. When Ana Maria hadn't turned up after about 10 minuets instead of going to get her himself, jack had started to talk to Katie. She wouldn't open up much though. She didn't trust him. He hadn't been horrible to her, just asking how old she was, what was the party she was at about, and other things. When he hadn't got much of a reply, he sensed the girl was nervous about being around him, probably still frightened that they were going to hurt her even though he promised no harm would come to her. So instead of trying to get her to talk he asked her if she wanted him to tell her of one of his adventures, as when he had talked about them taking her on one earlier her face had basically lit up at the thought. She had agreed and when the pirate had finally shown up Jack was in the middle of telling Katie about how he got of the island where he was marooned, and what he did after that. (Most of it was made up though.) Anyway Jack was looking at Ana Maria expectantly as he awaited his explanation.
"Sorry cap'n , I was busy in the galley. I could av let the crew starve if that was what you really would' a wanted." Jack looked at Ana Maria then to Katie.
"Doesn't matter, you're here now. So Ana Maria this is Katie. Katie this is Ana Maria. Ana your going to share yer cabin with her, she'll only be with us a week. You're also to let her help with some of yer duties, not the ones to do, on deck though. Is that ok?" Jack made his order sound like a question. Ana Maria looked at Katie then back to jack before answering.
"Aye cap'n. Whatever ye say." She then turned to Katie. "Come on, ill show ye where my cabin is."

Katie looked around the so-called cabin. It was more like a cupboard. In the far corner it had a bunks, Katie turned to Ana Maria who was just stood at the door staring at her.
"You don't want me here do you" Ana continued to stare
"I wont sleep in here if you don't want me to. Ill go on the deck if you wish. I'm not one to move in on other people's space. I hate over crowding, something my farther never understood." This was true. Katie's farther never understood anything she liked or felt. Ana Maria carried on looking at her. She did finally reply though.
"Nah you can stay in 'ere. I don't really want ye here your right, but I aint gonna turf you out ont' deck, the crews good but not that good. Anyway I might get used to ye, don't know ye, find it 'ard to trust. Ok" Ana Maria turned and walked out, shouting something back that they were on kitchen duty, and Katie had to be in the galley as soon as she was ready. ** Hum, well this was certainly going to be an interesting week. I get to share a cabin or cupboard with someone who doesn't like me, and well I've not even met anyone else but the captain, and he well he was different. He had something about him. ** As Katie made her way down to the galley she began to think about what it would be like to live on a ship even if she would only be there for a week.
***** The galley *****
"So let me get this straight, your farther was being forced into forcing you to marry some 50 year old man, who has had 3 wives die in childbirth. Jesus I'm glad I never 'ad anythink like that to deal with."
While cleaning the galley after the crew had eaten, and had started on preparing dinner, Ana Maria and Katie had gotten talking. At first it was just small talk something to pass the time and silence. As the hours had rolled on the conversation between the two had stopped being small talk and they had started to get to know each other.
"Are you two actually doing any work down here, the crew are getting' 'ungry." Jack shouted as he came down the stairs from the deck into the galley.
"Aye cap'n, it'll be ready in a jiffy. I was just gettin' to know Katie here. Has quite a tale this one." Katie blushed and hurried to put things away. Sure she had been getting on with Ana Maria, and was very thankful there was another women on board, she found it much easier to trust women then men. She was still very wary around Jack. Ana Maria and Jack started talking about their next route, where they could go for a week, without having a chase on with the Royal Navy. Katie finished what she was doing then excused herself. As she walked up the steps she heard jack say something.
"What?"
"I said." Jack turned around. "There's no need to be so polite, onboard a pirate ship. Alright Luv." Katie just smiled a weak smile and walked into the place she would be staying for the next week.
************ 1 hour later ************
"Ana Maria will you go fetch Katie for me, I need to introduce 'er to the crew. They've been wanting to no, who's goin' to get them some extra plunder."
"Aye Cap'n" Ana Maria went into her cabin, only to be shocked by what she saw...
