Chappie 6
Jack wandered down to the galley, he was looking for Katie. The storm had long since died down and the crew had been assessing the damage. 3 men had been thrown overboard, they were going back to look for them but there wasn't much hope, one of the crew had died, after being struck down then hit by a bolt of lightning, where he should have been at the time. Jack was a bit disturbed about that fact. Katie had been the one that made him move and Katie had known what was going to happen, but how? As Jack reached the galley he found Ana Maria fixing something for everybody to eat. It had been a long and hard day so far and it was only about 3 in the afternoon. Cotton had been one of those injured, while he was doing the usual stuff in the kitchens, the ship had been rocking about so much that a pan had flown and knocked him out. It was Katie who had found him and alerted Ana.
"Ana were's Katie?" Ana Maria looked up from what she was doing. And shrugged.
"Think she's gone t' th' cabin, she to'k thos' map's ye gave her." Jack turned to leave, but before he got out of earshot he heard Ana Maria say "ye should a believed her jack. Ye would have saved some of the lives lost today." ** Great as if I wasn't guilty enough she starts to put the guilt trip on me. No doubt Kate will do the same. ** Only Jack had been wrong.

"Katie, can I cum in?" Jack was standing outside Katie and Ana Maria's cabin, he was still in the habit of knocking, even though he only usually dose it for Ana, as he don't like the slaps he usually gets. There was a mumble from the other side of the door so jack took that as a yes. As jack entered the cabin he spotted Katie by the window on her cot map in hand.
"Katie, how did you... have you done all these by yourself." Jack got side tracked from what he wanted to ask Katie when he saw how many of the maps she had done. Katie only had one left, and all the ones she had done were perfectly planned out, neater and easier to read then if jack had done them.
Katie looked up from what she was doing a blushed a little. "Yeah, sorry there not in my neatest writing, you should be able to make them out though." Jack raised an eyebrow at her.
"Luv there a lot neater then what I could' a done. But how did ye do 'em so quick? I've 'ad 'em for weeks and ain't got round to doin' 'em so quick." Katie just shrugged.
"Used to help my brother. I always did them faster then him, but that was a long time ago. He never understood why I loved planning out his..." Katie stopped mid-sentence.
"Loved planning his what?" Jack was only half interested but he asked because she looked like she needed to talk. Katie looked up at jack and he saw that her eyes were misty. "Katie" Jack sat next to her on the bunk.
"I don't wanna talk about it." They were both silent for a while lost in their own thoughts. It was Katie who broke the silence. "I wanted to go on his adventures. Farther would never allow it though, not something that a 'lady' should be doing. Huh I hated him for that. I still can't see what the big fuss about it was. Is." Jack was watching Katie all the time she was talking; he saw the sadness that entered her eyes when she talked about, well what she was talking about. She never looked at jack when she was talking about this; she was just looking straight ahead. An idea suddenly came into Jack's head.
"Katie how would you like to..."
