Jack paced about his cabin. Ana Maria and Gibbs were sat in there with him watching him as he tried to think of a way to get Katie back.
"We should tell the navy. They'll get her back." Ana Maria's eyebrows shot up and she laughed at that suggestion.
"Capt'n they wont be able t' get her back. They couldn't get Elizabeth back without ye so how are they goin' t' get Katie back?" Jack shook his head side to side obviously trying to think of something else.
"We have to follow them. Which way did they go?" Jack looked up at Gibbs, his face asked them both why he hadn't thought of that.
"Jack, jest go in the direction of 'em don't ask questions." Jack stood still for a moment before racing out of his cabin, barking out orders to the crew.

The Black Pearl had been on Captain Joule's trail for about 5 hours and there was still no sign of his ship. Gibbs's could tell from his captain's face that he was trying not to panic. The normally very fast ship was slow as there wasn't much of a wind and it seemed that all the odds were against them getting to Katie before anything happened to her.
After 4 days of searching for the Blue Rock, Jack's luck changed for the better as the wind started to pick up and a sighting was made.
"Ship ho"
Jack craned his neck to look before taking out his spyglass. (A/N is that what it's called?) A grin worked its way onto his features as he began barking out orders to prepare for battle.

The battle began and Jack's crew fought a lot better the opposite side. Jack was duelling with Captain Joules while having a conversation with him.
"Are ye sure she's worth this Sparrow?"
"That's captain sparrow and... ow.... Yes I need t' return her t' get me ransom."
"That what you really... ugh... want. She's a feisty one, ye should try 'er. If ye haven't all ready." Jack snarled at the man opposite him and lugged at him.
"Ye make me sick Joules."
"Ahh yes, well someone has to do..." Jack pierced his sword through the mans heart, as he pulled it out again a sea of 'parley' could be heard. Jack looked around and motioned for Ana Maria to come over to him.
"Ana, I want all of 'em locked in their brig, but first I need t' make sure the girl ain't down there. Savvy?"
"Aye aye captain."

Jack went down into the brig. He looked around and at first saw nothing, but when he heard a small whimper from the far side of the room he went in for a closer look. There scrunched up in a ball was Katie... in a very bad way.
