Hello everyone, welcome to The Phantom Of Berseria, I don't own Pokemon or Tales of Berseria, this is for fun. I've said this in the first chapter of all my stories, but I have a writing disability, so my grammar and spelling might be wrong.

Now some rules.

1 This is a NO POV Story.

2 I'll choose what parts of the game I write in, so some of it will get left out, only the stuff that I think aren't important, like all the talks Velvet had while walking thru town in the beginning of the game won't be in the story.

3 Describing battles, and characters isn't my best, so sorry if you get confused.

4 The OC will be from the Hisui Region. And unlike my other stories this one will have the Hisuian Growlithe, Voltorb, and Sneasel, but not their normal forms.

5 This story takes place a few years before the events of games. It's the reason that this OC isn't the main character of the game.

6 This story will be a bit bloody, because our opponents are mainly other humans and we are the bad guys. So far warning things will be a little graphic, but I won't make it too graphic, and I'll warn you when that happens.

I'll give you the rest of the rules in the next chapter. So let's start chapter 1.

Chapter 1

A Dark Beginning

Arceus had called all the Legendary Pokemon to his dimension, discussing a recent problem. "So we are all in agreement?" Arceus asked all the Legendary Pokemon. "No, we're not. Arceus, I know that this is a problem, but you can't be serious about making a generation with the power to negate the problem?" Giratina asked Arceus.

"Giratina what do you suppose we do? This is our best option to save the planet and to keep him under control. I will not risk any of us to deal with a traitor and his shell of a man lackey." Arceus said to Giratina. "So you want to send over tens of thousands to solve it instead?" Giratina asked Arceus. "It's not like there's any other opinion for us." Arceus said to Giratina. "Actually, there is one other option. We send a human and have him or her kill the man that caused all this." Giratina said, making everyone look at him with a shock look on their faces.

"I'm going to ignore that idea and pretend you didn't suggest that." Arceus said to Giratina. "Arceus. You can't really believe that sending Pokemon will solve the problem?" Giratina asked Arceus. "We're not going there again, but we have to do something, Innominat is too dangerous to let run wild, even if it's on a backwater plant." Arceus said to Giratina. "That's my point. We can't just send Pokemon and hope it works." Giratina said to Arceus.

"And you think sending a human will help?" Rayquaza asked Giratina, before all the Legendary Pokemon, minus Arceus and Giratina laughed. "True a normal human wouldn't help. But what if we gave him one of our powers?" Giratina asked the Legendary Pokemon, making them stop laughing and gasp. "ENOUGH!" Arceus said, making all the Legendary Pokemon quiet. Arceus then moved to Giratina.

"You will forget this crazy idea of yours. We're sending Pokemon and that's final. Am I understood?" Arceus asked Giratina. "Crystal." Giratina said to Arceus before leaving. Arceus then sighed. "What am I going to do with him?" Arceus asked, before he got to work

Giratina then appeared in his Reverse Dimension. "Arceus is a fool. Set in his ways. Well if he can't see my plan will work. I guess it's up to me." Giratina said to himself before opening windows in front of him.

In one of those windows open in the sky above Jubilife Village, in the Village everyone was having a good day, and you could feel the joy in the air. But that joy dropped like a stone, when a young man, with black hair that was long enough to cover the upper half of his red eyes, white skin, wearing a ripped up camouflage komoto, walked into the village with a bag on his back.

The young man's presence caused everyone in the village to move to the side of the street. They looked worried at him, as the man walked to and in The Galaxy Hall. There we walked to Captain Cyllene. Once he reached Cyllene, she noticed him walking. "Ah Zane. you've alive, you've been gone for a month. How did your mission go?" Cyllene asked the man. "You tell me." Zane said, as he threw the bag onto Cyllene's desk. This made rare items, Pokeballs, and Drawings of Pokemon, spilled out of the bag and onto Cyllene's desk.

"As you can see I completed my mission of exploring the large island off the coast of Hisui. I have named it Victory Road. For it was a long hard road, and I am victorious." Zane said to Cyllene. "Very good. As expected from our top explorer." Cyllene said to Zane. "Now what's my next mission?" Zane asked Cyllene. "Not for a while." A male voice said to Zane.

That's when Zane and Cyllene noticed Commander Kamado walking into the room. "Zane, you've been working non stop. I can't let you go out there in good faith. Stay, rest, meet some people." Kamado said to Zane. "Look Commander, I know Pokemon may have taken your home. But people took mine. I came to work and learned more about Pokemon. Not to make friends with humans." Zane said to Kamado before leaving, with an angry look on his face. "I'll be back when I find something new." Zane said to Kamado, before exiting out the door.

Giratina watched all of this. "That male. He doesn't like humans, but likes Pokemon. Interesting." Giratina said, as he focused on Zane. For a few days Giratina watched through the window, as Zane made his own way through Hisui, and with no Pokemon with him, he saved small Pokemon, outsmarting large Pokemon, and making the large Pokemon defend themselves, all the while having a serious look on his face. Over these days Giratina found Zane impressive, and found his man.

Then, while Zane was getting a drink from a clear body of water, Giratina opened the portal to his dimension, and pulled Zane into it. Needless to say, Zane was surprised by this, but he didn't freak out. Once he was in the Reveres Dimension, he got into a fight stance and was ready for a fight. But once he saw Giratina, he lowered his guard, because he knew he couldn't fight something like Giratina.

"Well hello Zane." Giratina said to Zane. "Who are you? Are you the Almighty Sinnoh the Diamond and Pearl Clans talk about?" Zane asked Giratina. "I'm neither of them. My name is Giratina, and while the Diamond and Pearl Clans worship time and space. My power is something else." Giratina said to Zane. "What do you want with me?" Zane asked Giratina.

"I need your help." Giratina said to Zane. "With what?" Zane asked Giratina. "You see there's this man I want you to kill." Giratina said to Zane. "Me kill a man. Not to sound rude or anything. But why can't you do that? I mean if you're similar to Almighty Sinnoh, then why do you need me?" Zane asked Giratina.

"True, I could kill the man myself, but the man has allied himself with a mistake, and my father wouldn't let us go and deal with it." Giratina said to Zane. "Why not?" Zane asked Giratina.

"You see there are many worlds out in the cosmos, and me, my brothers and sisters have been to a few of them and saved a few of them. But then things got bad, we lost one of our younger sisters, Latias, on one of those planets. My three brothers were captured and torched in another world before they took their revenge on it. My younger dragon brother and his black and white fragments, ruling one world for a while, but was betrayed by the people they rolled and left after stopping them from plunging the world into war. Even a few of my youngest siblings have traveled to other worlds and fought alongside those of light to defeat a giant monster of darkness. And many other things, you don't need to know." Giratina said to Zane.

"That still doesn't answer my question?" Zane asked Giratina. "After all that, my father banned us from doing that anymore. And now my father wants to send avagere Pokemons to do what he won't let us do." Giratina said to Zane. "Still, why do you want me to kill this guy?" Zane asked Giratina. "Perhaps I should show you what happened." Giratina said to Zane, as he opened a large window to their side, making Zane and Giratina turn to it.

The window started by showing a young woman with white skin, long black hair, hazel eyes wearing a red short sleeve shirt, black pants, with a gauntlet on her right hand. Walking into the room, where a little boy with white skin, long blond hair, wearing green clothes.

"Laphi! Time to wake up." The woman said to the boy. "Ah… Okay…" The boy weakly said to the woman. "Morning." The woman said to Laphi. "I told you to stop calling me "Laphi". I'm not a little kid anymore." Laphi said to the woman. "Grumble-grumble, huh? You must be feeling good." The woman said to Laphi, before touching Laphi's head. "Hmm. Bit of a fever, I'm afraid. At least the new medicine's supposed to come today." The woman said to Laphi before patting Laphi's head.

"Until then, you stay in bed, got it?" The woman said to Laphi. "What? Aww, but I wanted to go to the cape." Laphi said to the woman. "Sorry. You'll have to wait." The woman said to Laphi. "Can't I at least read a book?" Laphi asked the woman. The woman gave him a mean look, and Laphi lowered his head. That's when a new man walked into the room.

This new man had black pants on, a white shirt, a brown strap over his chest with his right black covered arm in it, a blue count over his back and right arm, silver long hair with most of it tied into a ponytail, white skin, and light blue eyes. 'Don't trouble your sister, Laphicet." the man said to Laphi, as he walked to Lahpi and the woman. "I didn't mean to." Lahpi said to the man. "Arthur! Done Chopping firewood?" The woman asked the man.

"Yeah. Enough to last through winter. But there's something else I need to take care of, sorry, but medicine money'll have to wait a bit." Arthur said to the woman. "I can earn it myself, then. Bring down a few prickleboars, and I'll have plenty to offer in trade." The woman said to Arthur. "On your own?" Arthur asked the woman. "Arthur's forest maxim! "Plans must be solid, and reactions flexible"." The woman said to Arthur. "All right. I shouldn't doubt my student's abilities. Sorry to put you in a spot." Arthur said to the woman. "I'm sorry, Velvet." Lahpi said to the woman.

"Whoa, hey. What's everyone apologizing for? We're a family, right?" Velvet asked everyone. "Right. I'll see you later." Arthur said to Velvet, before leaving. "I whipped up some porridge for you, OK? Be back by evening." Velvet said to Lahpi, while looking at a bowl. "Thank you. Be careful, Velvet." Lahpi said to Velvet. Velvet nodded her head and she left.

As Velvet walked through her small town and chatted with her people, she made it to the woods on the edge of the town. That's when a thought came into her head. "Come to think of it, Arthur hasn't requested his favorite dinner in a while. There's been so much going on, and the village always has him out hunting. Maybe he's just worn out?" Velvet asked herself thinking out loud. "That does it. I'll cook him up some prickleboar stew, just like Clica taught me. That ought to pick him right up! A healthy portion of nourishing meat cures fevers and weariness alike." Velvet said, as she started to look around.

After a bit Velvet found a small group of small, tan, muscular pigs. Velvet then flicked her right arm, making a blade pop out of her gauntlet. Velvet then started to move like a dance dodging the pigs attack, and kicking them with her legs, and slashing them with her wrist blade. "The cold weather's been terrible on everyone's crops. But at least the city will buy our prickleboar meat now. Laphi and Arthur have been hoping the village could start raising them, but they can just be so temperamental. I wonder if they could bred with more docile pigs… What would we call them, oinkleboars?" Velvet said out loud, thinking.

"Nah, doesn't sound appetizing, what about piggleboar?" Velvet said out loud, thinking. "Yeah! Piggleboar. That's a cute name! Maybe too cute, though. We wouldn't want to discourage people from eating them." Velvet said, before going back to hunting. After finding another small group of pigs, Velvet made quick work of them. "This should be enough to cover the medicine. I'd better bring these to the store." Velvet said to herself, before she started to drag her hall back to town.

But before she could make it to the town, a group of prickleboars came running up to her, and blocked her path. It took Velvet a second to put things together. "Wait. The boars I hunted… Are you their-." Velvet said to the prickleboar, before stopping herself. "Maxim three. "Never waver once your sword is drawn." "control your feelings to control the tide of battle"!" Velvet said, as she got ready to fight and charged at the prickleboars.

And while there were many prickleboars, Velvet's quick footwork, and wrist blade killed all of them. "I did it!." Velvet said, as she landed a few feet away from the prickleboars corpses. But then one of the prickleboar started to get up, glowing a nasty black, and doing a jump attack. This surprised Velvet, and made her cross her arms to block the attack, and close her eyes. "Seres!" A voice said.

That's when Velvet opened her eyes to see the prickleboar covered in flames and dying. "An exorcist arte!" Velvet said with a shock tune in her voice. "Pride and anxiety. Pity for the enemy. The thrill of victory…" A voice said to Velvet. That's when Velvet turned to see Arthur sanding behind her, with a long sword planted into the ground next to him. "Your emotions run too hot. That will be your downfall." Arthur said to Velvet, as he pulled his sword out of the ground.

Velvet then turned her head to her gauntlet. "Agreed. It's one of her virtues as well." Arthur said. "Huh?" Velvet said as she raised her head, she noticed no one else but her and Arthur. "Yes, I know. But even so, she's got to-." Arthur said, but Velvet had no idea what he was talking to. Arthur then looked at a charm on his sword. "Arthur." Velvet asked Arthur. Arthur turned to Velvet. "Arthur's fourth maxim. "Never let your guard down, even when victorious"." Arthur said to Velvet. "Got it." Velvet said to Arthur.

"In any case, this should be enough to buy Laphicet's medicine." Arthur said to Velvet, as the two of them looked at all the dead prickleboars. "I'll drop the prickleboars off at the shop before I head out." Arthur said to Velvet, as he walked to the prickleboars. "Head out where?" Velvet asked Arthur, as Arthur kneed down in front of the prickleboars. "The person I was supposed to meet is late. I don't think I'll be home tonight. I came out here to let you know. You'll have to pick up the medicine yourself." Arthur said to Velvet, turning his head to Velvet a little. "Right…" Velvet said to Arthur, having a bad feeling.

"One more thing. I saw a group of daemons near the village." Arthur said to Velvet, surprising Velvet. "If you're attacked, run away. Am I clear?" Arthur asked Velvet. "No way! I-I can handle a bunch of-" Velvet said to Arthur, But Arthur interrupted her. "Daemons can only be challenged by those with the talent for exorcism. That's the cold logic of the world, and no emotions can change it." Arthur said to Velvet, making Velvet lower her head.

"Do you think… I could become an exorcist?" Velvet asked Arthur, raising her head. Arthur looked at Velvet for a second, before looking up. "Why is it you think that birds fly?" Arthur asked Velvet. Then Velvet looked up to see a bird. "Why?... Well, without flying, they couldn't find food…" Velvet said to Arthur, looking at him, not knowing what he was asking her. "It takes a particular innate talent to be an exorcist. Unfortunately, very few humans have it within themselves." Arthur said to Velvet. "All right." Velvet said, lowering her head.

Arthur walked to Velvet, with the prickleboars on his shoulder. "Tomorrow is Celica's memorial day. I'll be back as soon as I can." Arthur said to Velvet before leaving. "Hurry back. I'll make you quiche just the way she taught me." Velvet said to Arthur, turning to Arthur. Arthur then stopped walking. Arthur nodded slightly and got back to walking.

Then Velvet started to think about the prickleboars. "I wonder if those prickleboars were brothers… Maybe I should have let them go. But then how would I pay for Laphi's medicine? Hunting took care of that, and it means food for us as well. I have no other choice! It was a rational decision! But the fact that I'm still worrying about it shows that my feelings are getting the better of me." Velvet said to herself, as she walked back to town.

Once Velvet got into town, she made her way to the merchant house. When she got there she noticed a young girl, with white skin, brown hair that was tied into two ponytails that goes over her shoulders, wearing a short green dress over a light green long sleeve shirt and a orange ribbon on it, black boots, and two dogs with her one gray the other one orange and white. "Niko! Here for groceries?" Velvet asked the woman, as the gray dog ran to her. Then Niko turned to Velvet, as Velvet kneed down to the dog.

"Yep. And you must've been out hunting." Niko asked Velvet. "Yeah. It was a good haul." Velvet said to Niko, as she stood up. "Look at you. Lady Breadwinner! If you were a boy, I think I'd be in love." Niko said to Velvet. "Good thing I'm a girl." Velvet said to Niko. Then Niko looked at Velvet's outfit. "Oh yeah? You oughta do something about your style, then." Niko said to Velvet. "Ah, yeah… I kinda broke my comb." Velvet said to Niko, being a little embarrassed. "So get a new one." Niko said to Velvet.

Velvet then noticed a comb, next to a ship's compass. "Sure, I'd like to, but…" Velvet said to Niko. "Hey Mister! How about a sale on combs for the pretty girl?" Niko asked, a man, with short black hair, a small goatee, wearing a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, black pants and shoes, thick brown gloves, and a brown apron. "Hrmm? You two need something?" The man asked Niko and Velvet, as he walked to them.

"I'm fine, Niko. I'm just here to pick up medicine for Laphicet." Velvet said to Niko. "Oh, Velvet. I already told Arthur, but… I'm afraid the medicine hasn't come in yet." the man said to Velvet. "What? Why not? Is it because of the daemons?" Velvet asked the man. "Seems like the daemonblight's really taking a toll on the city. There's even a group of them lurking around here now." The man said to Velvet. "When's it coming, then?" Velvet said, getting worried.

"I can't say. And I don't know how much it will cost." The man said to Velvet, crossing his arms. "Oh no…" Velvet said. "Ugh, what is WRONG with Midgand? Don't they have an army or something?" Niko asked. "Those guys? The daemons already reputed them a while back." The man said to Niko. "But we're safe here, right? After all, your brother-in-law's an exorcist." Niko asked Velvet. Velvet nodded yes.

"You so sure about that? Arthur can't even use his right hand anymore. Poor fellow couldn't even protect his own wife and child." the man said, making Velvet clench her fist. "Let me know when the medicine gets in." Velvet said to the man, a hint of anger in her voice. "A-Ah… O-Of course. For now, here. On the house." The man said to Velvet, getting a little scared of her, and passing a packet of medicine that can ease it for Laphi.

Velvet then left angrily. Niko gave the man a mean look before going after Velvet. "Velvet." Niko said to Velvet, as she reached Velvet, and made her stop. "You didn't forget, did you? YOu promised to teach me how to make your special quiche." Niko said to Velvet, making Velvet turn to her. "You mean for that apprentice animal doctor you had your eye on? You were serious?" Velvet asked Niko. "Beyond serious! Please. This is life or death for me." Niko said to Velvet.

"But I thought your folks weren't keen on the two of you dating." Velvet asked Niko. Niko held a hand up. "Who cares what people think? The important thing is my feelings!" Niko said to Velvet, lowering her hand. "I like the way you talk. If I were a boy, I think I'd be in love." Velvet said to Niko, feeling better. "Darn right!" Niko said to Velvet.

Velvet then started to make her way to her home. But when she got there, she made a turn and walked to the two nearby grave stones. "Hi, Calica. I'm back. I can't believe it's been seven years since we lost you and the baby you carried. Drat. I forgot to bring your Princessias. I know how much you, Mom, and Dad all loved those flowers. And I know your child would have, too. I'm sorry. I'll pick some from the cape tomorrow." Velvet said to the gaves, before going back inside the house.

When she entered the building, she found Laphicet working on the kitchen table. "Um, welcome home, Velvet." Laphi said to Velvet, noticed her, and tried to hide something. "Laphi! I told you to stay in bed!" Velvet said to Laphi, before examining him. "I was only up for a little." Laphi said to Velvet. "Look, your fever hasn't gone down a bit! Go lie down and I'll cook dinner." Velvet said to Laphi. "I'm sorry." Laphi said to Velvet.

Then Velvet noticed the drawing and two books on the table once gold, the other purple. "What's this?" Velvet asked Laphi. "A compass! It uses a magnet to tell you which way you're facing." Laphi said to Velvet. "Woohoo. You can use the sun and stars for that." Velvet said to Laphi. "And what'll you do if it's cloudy, huh? Thanks to this invention, we'll even be able to voyage across the ocean! See? It's designed to stay level, so your heading will be true even when the ship is rolling with the waves. Pretty neat, right?" Laphi asked Velvet.

"If you say so, Laphi." Velvet said to Laphi. "C'mon, it's a must-have for any adventure! Can't you see how useful it is?" Laphi asked Velvet. Velvet said nothing, and led Laphi back to bed. "You can tell me more about it later." Velvet said to Laphi, putting him on the bed.

"Did they hurt you?" Laphi asked Velvet, talking about her hunt. "Not a scratch, and I brought back plenty. I can hear Arthur already. "Gosh, Velvet, I think it's time you learned all my secret artes"!" Velvet said to Laphi. "He isn't coming home tonight, is he?" Laphi asked Velvet. "How do you know that?" Velvet asked Laphi. "Seres stopped by and told me." Laphi said to Velvet.

"Arthur's malak? Huh. You really can talk to malakhim, can't you?" Velvet asked Laphi. "Yeah, Arthur says I've got exorcist potential." Laphi said to Velvet, as Velvet sat next to Laphi on the bed. "No kidding. I think you'll be an exorcist to rival even him. I can tell you've been learning all sorts of things from his book collection." Velvet said to Lapi, as they looked at a purple and gold book on the table.

"I really want to become an exorcist. I want to go traveling with you and see all the wonders of the world. I'll hunt and chop firewood. And if daemons come for us, I'll defend you. I wish… I wish I could do that…" Laphi said to Velvet, lowering this head. Velvet pulled Laphi into a hug. "You'll get there, Laphicet. It should only take… of, 20 years, tops." Velvet said to Laphi, before breaking the hug and standing up. "It won't take me that long!" Laphi said to Velvet.

"Oh yeah? You better prove it to me, then." Velvet said to Laphi, laying Laphi onto the bed. "Start with this lovely meatball stew I cooked. Eat every last mouthful, even if you don't feel hungry. And take your medicine, no matter HOW nasty it tastes. No tricks. Am I clear?" Velvet asked Laphi. "Yes, ma'am." Laphi said Velvet.

Velvet then started to cook, and after a bit Velvet made two bowls of porridge for her and Laphi. After that Velvet helped Lephi to the bed. "Good boy. You didn't forget your medicine." Velvet said to Laphi. "Well, I did promise." Laphi said to Velvet, before looking out a window.

"Tomorrow's a scarlet night." Laphi to Velvet. "Yeah. Just like that night that changed our lives." Velvet said to Laphi. "Um… Velvet? May I sleep next to you tonight?" Laphi asked Velvet. "Of course." Velvet said to Laphi. Then the two of them slept together.

The next morning Velvet got up and walked to the kitchen. "OK, let's see. Today I've got to dry some meat and use that cheese I've been saving to make a quiche for-" Velvet said, but then noticed Laphi was missing. "Hmm? Laphi?" Velvet asked, looking around for Laphi. "You little… Where have you gone?!" velvet asked, before leaving.

Velvet then ran to the merchant house. "Hey! Has Laphicet been here?" Velvet asked the man at the house, as she ran to him. "Uh, no. I haven't seen him." The man said to Velvet, behind something behind his back. But that something fell to the floor. It was the gold book Laphi had. "Wait! That's one of Arthur's!" Velvet said to the man. "Actually, it's a copy that Laphicet made." The man said to Velvet, as he picked the book up.

"A smart merchant would pay a pretty penny for this book. I gave him a fair trade." The man said to Velvet, showing off the book. "Laphi… Did he really copy that by hand?" Velvet asked the man, before noticed the navel compass on the table. "Oh! He must have done it to buy that compass!" Velvet said. "No, though he gave it some puppy eyes. Told him I'd throw it in for free, but he said that it would be a bad deal for me. He's a good lad, but not the merchant type." The man said to Velvet.

"So what did he use the money for?" Velvet asked the man. "I'm afraid my lips are sealed. You'll have to ask him." The man said to Velvet, before walking away. Then while Niko was walking nearby with her dogs, she noticed Velvet. "Velvet, I saw Laphicet walking around. Is he OK?" Niko asked Velvet, getting Velvet's attention. "He's not OK! Where'd you see him?" Velvet asked Niko. "He was headed for the forest. I'll help you look for him." Niko said Velvet. "Thanks. Do a sweep of the village, just in case. I'll check the forest." Velvet said Niko, before running into the woods.

In the woods Velvet found Laphi sitting on the ground. "Laphi!" Velvet said, before running to Laphi. "Velvet." Laphi said, noticing Velvet. "Can you walk? How's your fever?" Velvet asked Laphi, kneeling down. "I'm fine. I was just taking a break." Laphi said to Velvet, annoying Velvet. "You little… you know better than this, Laphicet! Running off without telling me… What if something happened to you?! You wouldn't be the only one hurt. Do you understand that?" Velvet asked Laphi.

"I'm sorry." Laphi said Velvet. "If you want to do something, just ask. I know I'm a crummy big sister and I can't afford to buy you all the things you want…" Velvet said to Laphi. "No! That's not why I went out! You see, it was just…" Laphi said to Velvet, but stopped talking and lowered his head.

"I get it. You're right, I forgot the flowers for the graves." Velvet said to Laphi. "Yeah… So I was going out to the cape… and i thought…" Laphi said to Velvet. "You want to see the ocean, too, don't you?" Velvet asked Laphi. "Well, yeah, that too…" Laphi said to velvet, as velvet stood up. "Fine. Just for today, though." Velvet said to Laphi. "Are you sure?" Laphi asked velvet. "I am. But next time you run off like that, I'm strapping you to your bed." Velvet said Laphi. "Yes, ma'am." Laphi said to Velvet.

As they walked to the cape, the two of them started to talk. "Remember how we went out together to pick Princessias on the morning of Celica's funeral?" Velvet asked Laphi, as the two stopped. "Yea. I was only four, but I remember. We couldn't find any in the village or at the cape." Laphi said to Velvet. "Right, because the daemons had made a mess of them, and then you suddenly started climbing down the edge of the cliff." Velvet said to Laphi.

"You ran over and grabbed me. You had the scariest look on your face." Laphi said to Velvet. "Of course I did! Do you have any idea what I'd do if I lost you, too." Velvet said to Laphi. "You'd still have Arthur. He'd help you. He'll help the world. He's quite the gut." Laphi said to Velvet. "That's probably true. But I'd still miss you like you wouldn't believe!" Velvet said to Laphi. "I know. I'm sorry, Sis." Laphi said to Velvet.

"But down the cliff from where you were, a lone pair of Princessia were booming." Velvet said to Laphi. "I remember! A gentle breeze came in, and it smelled like Celica." Laphi said to Velvet. "That's right. That's why I believe those flowers were a message from her. Do you know what Princessia flowers signify?" Velvet asked Laphi. "Um… An irreplaceable treasure, and wishes for good health for many years to come." Laphi said to Velvet. "Right. And that sums up my feelings nicely, Laphi." Velvet said to Laphi. "Yeah, Me too, Sis." Laphi said to Velvet. "Yeah. Me too, Sis." Laphi said to Velvet, as they got back to walking.

Some time later they made it to a ruin on the edge of a cliff facing the sea and saw a patch of white floors growing near it. "Ah! Just look at all these!" Velvet said to Laphi, as they looked at the ground. Then Laphi sat on the edge of the cliff and felt the breeze coming from the sea. "This place never changes, does it?" Velvet said to Laphi, as she sat next to him. "It does to change. The seasons, the wind, the weather… Change one, and the sea's totally different. And the same goes for what lies across the sea…" Laphi said to Velvet.

"Across the sea? Sometimes I just don't know what you're talking about." Velvet said to Laphi. "Hey Velvet? Thank you for talking me out here today." Laphi said to Velvet. "You don't need to thank me." Velvet said to Laphi. Before they noticed a bird in the sky.

"Hey, Laphi… Do you know why it is that birds fly?" Velvet asked Laphi. "Well, if they didn't they couldn't catch food. Or escape from predators." Laphi said to Velvet. "Thought so…" Velvet said to Laphi. "But you know, I think there's more to it than that. A bird that's born with wings HAS to-" Laphi said to Velvet, but stopped, letting out a small scream. This made Velvet stand up and turned around.

That's when she noticed a werewolf monster wearing leather armor. "A daemon!" Velvet said. "Laphicet, run, No matter how much it hurts, fun!" Velvet said to Laphi. "Velvet?!" Laphi asked Velvet. "Don't be scared. You can do it. You're going to be strong like Arthur." Velvet said to Laphi, as she made her wrist blade pop out. "No! You can't!" Laphia said to Velvet. "Go!" Velvet said to Laphia, as she charged at the daemon

Velvet tried to slash and kick the daemon, but her attacks did nothing. Velvet then had to jump back to avoid the daemon's attack. Then she moved to behind the daemon and tried to stick it back, but again nothing happened. This fight of velvet hitting it, and barely dodging it lasted for a few minutes. But after those few minutes, Velvet started to feel tired, and the daemon was still strong.

"It's… It's just like Auther said… but… I have to do this!" Velvet said, before she gathered what strength she still had and charged at the daemon. But the daemon was able to use this, to slam its claws into Velvet, sending Velvet into one of the walls of the ruins. Velvet laid on the ground, as the daemon slowly walked to Velvet.

"Stop! Face me daemon!" Laphi said to the daemon. This made the daemon turn to laphi, and charged at him. The daemon then hit Laphi, and sent him flying near Velvet. "Laphi…" Velvet said, very worried about Laphi. "Velvet…" Laphi said to Velvet, pulling out a comb. Velvet then crawled over to Laphi's side. "Is this… Why…" Velvet asked Laphi, grabbing Laphi's hand with the comb in it.

Then the daemon got ready to attack them. Velvet's protective instincts kicked in, and she used her body to protect Laphi. But before the daemon could attack them, Arthur showed up and killed the daemon. Then Laphi and Velvet passed out.

Some time later, Velvet woke up in her home. "How… How did I get home?" Velvet asked, looking around. "Velvet!" Laphi said, walking into the room, getting her attention. "Laphi! You're all right!" Velvet said to Laphi, getting up, but getting a headache. "Sorry, it's all my fault." Laphi said to Velvet. "No! If you weren't there, there's no telling what might've happened to me." Velvet said to Laphi.

Laphi shook his head no, and handed Velvet the comd. Your old one broke, right? You've got beautiful hair. It would be a waste if you didn't take care of it." Laphi said to Velvet before hugging her. "I'll make a new world. A world where my sister can be happy." Laphi said to Velvet, before velvet passed out again.

Velvet opened her eyes when it was dark outside. Velvet shot up and looked outside to see a blood red moon. "The Scarlet Night?! What's going on?" Velvet asked everyone, as she looked around her home. "Was that… was it all a dream?" Velvet asked, as she looked around. That's when she noticed the comb in her left hand, and realized it wasn't. "No! It wasn't!" Velvet said as she got up and ran out of her home.

Once she was outside, daemons jumped off the roof of her home, getting Velvet's attention. "No… what's happening?" Velvet asked, as she heard a wolf howl, and started to run for her life. As she ran, she ran through her village and saw a few of the people lying dead on the ground and daemons all over the place. This scared her, but she knew now wasn't the time to get scared, Laphi needed her.

After running for a while, she made it to the ruins, where Laphi and Arthur were, and both of them stood in front of a large, deep, hole. "Laphi! Arthur!" Velvet said, getting their attention. "Velvet!" Laphi said to Velvet. "You." Arthur said to Velvet. "Oh, thank goodness… You kept Laphi safe, didn't you, Arthur?" Velvet asked Arthur.

"One more sentiment to cast off." Arthur said. "Velvet! Run!" Laphi said to Velvet. "Arthur?!" Velvet asked, as she ran to them, instead of away. But something tripped her,and her hands and feet burst into flames, pinning her to the ground. Velvet let out small creams as she tread to break free.

"Here, once, was the seal to the underworld broken. And tonight, here shall be born the power to save the world." Arthur said, before planning his sword into the ground and pulled it out of its sheath. "With Laphicat's life as a sacrifice." Arthur said, pointing his sword at Laphi. "What? What are you saying?!" Velvet asked Arthur.

But they said nothing, Laphie just closed her eyes, as Arthur made his sword glow gold, and planted it into the ground. Then a magic circle appeared around them, and Laphi was lifted into the air over the hole. Once over the hole, gold circles appeared around Laphi. Arthur then raised his sword to a magic circle. "Arthur! No!" Velvet asked Arthur.

Arthur then jammed his sword into the magic circle, and a burst of light burst out of the hole. And that light led to two giant light spikes rammed into Laphi in the shape of an X. Velvet could see Laphi screaming from this, but the fear in her head muffled all sence in her body. Then the light faded, and Laphi fell into the hole. Adrenaline pumping in her veins, Velvet broke free of fire, and ran. Velvet reached Lapho, and grabbed him, but fell in the hole as well, holding onto the edge with her left arm.

Arthur then walked to Velvet. "Let him go. This is an offering to the world." Arthur said to Velvet. "Why would you…?!" Velvet asked Arthur. "Nothing can save him now." Arthur said to Velvet. "No! No! Nooo!" Velvet frantically said to Arthur. "I see you will not change. Ever a slave to emotion." Arthur said to Velvet, before cutting off her left hand, much to Velvet's horror. Then as Velvet and Laphi fell into the hole, Velvet was losing consciousness, but then she saw a large red mouth come out of the hole and gold dragon heads shot out of the mouth.

"LAPHICET!" Velvet said, as Laphi was eaten by a dragon head. This shattered Velvet's heart. "How could… HOW COULD YOOOOOOU!" Velvet yelled, as the dragon heads burst out of the hole, taking Velvet with them. Velvet crashed and landed at the enetice of the ruin, her left hand a massive red claws with patches of black covering it. Arthur walked to Velvet, as Velvet got up.

Then daemons showed up around them. And in a flash, velvet grabbed the stuiped one that decided to attack her in a second with her claw. Velvet threw it over her head, and slammed it into the ground. Then she drained black energy from it, and killed it by crushing its head. "Daemon that feeds on daemons…" Arthur said, as he watched Velvet treat the daemons appert.

"Arthur!" Velvet said, as she clenched her claw. "A therion." Arthur said. "Arrrrthuuuuuur!" Velvet yelled as she charged at Arthur. But daemons got in her way. Velvet. Velvet then attacked the daemons in a frenzy, and while slaughtering them, she asked Arthur questions, but Arthur didn't answer her.

"Take a look around." Arthur said to Velvet, making Velvet notice that the daemons she slaughtered were the people from her village, Niko among them. "Daemonblight has spread through the village. But do no fear. With my power as an exorcist… I, Artorius Collbrande, will end your pain." Arthur said to Velvet, as Velvet charged at him again.

Then Velvet was shot out of the sky by a fireball, knocking Velvet off her feet, and making the comb fall out of her pockets. The comb landed in front of a woman, wearing a butterfly-like white dress, a mask, and red hair. "Seres?" Velvet asked, too tired to get up, and wondering if that was who she was. Then people in armor, with armor masks over their face appeared out of thin air.

The woman picked up the comb, as Arthur walked to Velvet. "Why is it that birds fly? Behold my answer, Velvet." Arthur said to Velvet, raising his sword. "Ar… thur…" Velvet said to Arthur. "I ask no forgiveness. The sin is mine to bear." Arthur said to Velvet. "Artorius!" Velvet yelled with that furry still in her heart. Then everything went black. When Velvet woke up, she found herself in a deep dark prison cell. "I will… I will… make you pay!" Velvet said.

That's when Giratina closed the window. Giratina saw Zane was angry. "How could he? How could he?! How could he do that to them! They were his family! And… and…" Zane said, before roaring in rage. "So will you take the mission?" Giratina asked Zane. "I'll take the mission. But that man has strange powers. And I am just a normal man. How can I kill him?" Zane asked Giratina. "Leave that to me." Giratina said to Zane, before black energy started to come out of Giratina, and into Zane.

This made Zane's heart pump wildly, as his body started to change. His body became wrapped in gray scales, his shoes became gold and sharp, he front of his neck and streat down to his legs became black with red lines in them, his head gain a gold helmet, with a movable black visor that was on top of his head, and two black shadow like wings with three red spikes on it burst out of his back.

And while many would find this painful. Zane found it exhilarating and loved it. "Now your weapon." Giratina said, as more black energy moved around Zanes' right arm and his waist. The black energy around his waist became a quiver with arrows on his back waist. And the black energy around his right arm turned into two curved wrist blades that started at the back of his wrist and were connected at the edge of the blade that passed his elbow.

Zane flicked his right wrist and the blades popped out, turning it into a bow with a black string contacting them. "Oh I like this." Zane said to Giratina, looking at his weapon. "You have much to learn before you're ready to fight Artorius. And we don't have much time." Giratina said to Zane. "Then let's get started." Zane said, as his visor moved down, and his eyes glowed red from under it.

Hello everyone, I hope you like this chapter. Please follow or review if you like this story. I hope you like this, I've been waiting to do this, but I posted She-Ra right when Legends of Arceus came out and felt I couldn't post it when that one was just getting started. I wanted my She-Ra story to grow a little.

Also as you may have guessed from Giratina's talk with Zane, this story is connected to my other stories. But not The Legend Of Korra And The Forgotten Trainers, that one is it's own story and is not tied to any of my other stories.

And a message for Geneevve, I would save your review for tomorrow, I think your character will have a better story entrance in the next chapter, and you'll find out why tomorrow, and I'm curious to see what kind of review you leave, when your character works with the bad guys a couple hundred years in the past, or if you review this story at all. And if you do, I hope you and your Pokemon stay with the good guys while traveling with these bad guys.
