Her eyes held no emotion what so ever, which was extremely unusual for her. As jack got over the shock of her eyes suddenly opening, he watched her for a few minuets. He slowly began to realise that, when he looked closely he could almost see what had happened to her, replaying in her eyes and her head.
He dithered for a few seconds wondering whether or not he should wake her up, but when tears fell out of her eyes, he found the decision made for him, without him knowing it.
Jack gently shook her awake. When she blinked, and found him sitting opposite her, for the second time in 5 minuets Jack was surprised, when she leaned forward and hugged him.
She wasn't sure why she was doing it, she surprised herself, but when he returned the embrace and wrapped his arms around her, she found she wasn't pulling back but instead leaning more into it. For the first time in ages she found herself feeling safe.
As they were in the embrace both of them felt a surge of electricity rushing through them. Jack tried to ignore it but found it was difficult.

Katie fell asleep in Jack's arms, as the exhaustion of crying, caught up with her. When Jack layed her back down, he found he was reluctant to let her out of his arms, but forcing down his feelings let go of her and walked out of the cabin quickly, locking the door behind him.
Staring out at the horizon from the wheel, his mind wasn't empty like it would normally be when he was at the spot. Instead his mind was whizzing through reason of what the alien feelings he kept getting were.
"Capt'n. Cap'n. CAPTAIN!" Jack jumped out of his daze and looked round to see a pissed off Ana-Maria.
"What. Ye don't need t' shout." Ana stifled a laugh of sarcasm.
"Can I get int' yer cabin please. I need t' take Katie... something and drew wants t' talk t' ye." Jack frowned but handed over his key. As he watched Ana walk towards his cabin, he called Gibbs over to take the wheel while he went to see what drew wanted.

Jack poked his head around Ana's cabin door, where drew was staying. He frowned as he tried to see what the lad was doing before he was spotted.
"Ehem." Drew quickly hid what he had been doing under the covers of his bed and looked up at Jack.
"Oh hello." Jack raised an eyebrow.
"Ye wanted somthin'?"
"Oh yes. Erm. Well I wanted to know about Katie actually." Jack sat down on the lad's bed.
"And what exactly did you want to know?"
"Is she ok?" jack smiled weekly at the boy.
"I'm not sure. Physically she's fine... now. But other then that I don't know."
"Oh. Will she? I mean. Maybe if she sort of went back to her home. Do you think that will help her?" Jack thought about it. It should help her. I mean she's wanted to go home ever since I first took her. And I've kept her away a lot longer then I meant to...
"It might help her. You care a lot about her don't you?"
"Yes. But you care more." Ana had just come to the door of her cabin, which was ajar a bit. She heard the last part of their conversation and wanted to know more so she ears dropped.
"Aye." Drew decided to ask Jack a daring question.
"Do you... love her?"
"I... I... yeah... I think I do... tell anyone that and I'll kill ye." Drew nodded slowly.
"Are you still going to make her leave?"
"Its best for her." Ana's hand flew to her mouth, as she realised what Jack would be doing. Sacrificing the first person he had ever loved because it would be better for her to be at her home... or at least that was what he thought...
