The scene at beginning was very dark. Then, a figure of a girl shown up. She has pale-skinned, black hair, it's long 'till touches her shoulders, and the bangs were cover her eyes. She wears long white-striped arm sleeves, a black dress outside, black and white knee socks, and a pair of black shoes.

"Hello, my dear horror story readers! And... any other story types readers..." She greets with a gloomy and low voice.

"Welcome to my urban legends' telling! This is the first story I tell and it's very short, so enjoy!!" She continues.

"You must have gotten clicked into this story, because my author is settings all, right?" She questions, as she tilts her head.

...

"Anyways, you may already know my name is Lucy and also... why don't we begin to hear my first story here?" Lucy held a book up, opened the first page. She took a sigh before read it. "Sigh..."

Lucy's POV:

Story: Dead by the bridge

Once upon a time, in a normal village. There are a twin sisters. Their parents were dead when they were young. They have to work hard to raise themselves.

Their house is separated from the market and all villager houses by a bridge, and if the twins want to go somewhere, they need to cross that bridge first.

The older sister works as a frog seller, so she always sells frogs in the middle of noon or afternoon, and at night she goes to catch frogs. The younger sister works as a seller of oil lamps, she sells the oil lamps in the evening until it is almost dawn.

One day, the older twin on the way back home, when she went through a pond, she saw two animals were trapping in a trap of someone, they're a teal and a coucal.

"What the hell? Who's trapping these poor guys here?" She went there and released both birds.

When those two were released, they said thank to her.

"Thank you for saving, our hero!!" The teal shouted.

"Yeah, thank you very much!!" The coucal also continued.

She was surprised when those birds can actually talked.

"What?! You guys can talk!!" ; "But why do you being trapped in there?"

"Our hero, we're fighting for the food and then got trapped in this cage of human." The coucal said.

"Hey, bud! If she helped us then why don't we announced that news to her!!" The teal suggested.

"Great idea, dude!" The coucal replied in agree.

"What are you two talking?"

"Listen here, our hero. It's the bad news, we heard that the river under the bridge of you and your sister house has two drowning ghosts. They have been dead and trapped there long times ago, they were planning about in next 7 days, will making you and your twin fall down and drown to replace them, so they could reborn and move into next lives." They two explained. "One more thing, be careful if you walk on the bridge, because the ghost's power when attract with moonlight, they can enchant and make the brigde slippery and you could stumble down there."

After that, the older twin brought the story and told her younger twin, and suggested they should stay in their house and shouldn't go to work for a week.

"What?! Are you serious, Lana!! How could the teal and the coucal can talk like human!" The younger twin shouted, as she laughs loudly because she thought her twin was just kidding.

"Trust me, Lola! I am not kidding. Think again, what if what they two said were truth?" Lana said.

"Well, I think I'll do what you say 'cause I totally afraid the death." Lola replied, as she rolls her eyes, and gave her twin a chuckle at the end.

In the days that followed, Lana was determined not to give up on persuading Lola. She had to use strong measure, it is made her sister goes drunk and drink until morning, and avoid crossing the bridge.

Unfortunely, at day 7, the last day when those two ghosts can kill someone to replace them and they could be reborn. When the sun hadn't rose yet, Lola already woke up, she remembered its been days and she hasn't go to work yet.

Lola went on the bridge, but she didn't know that the bridge has been enchanted by the drowning ghosts, so it is very slippery and easy to stumble down to the river. She fell down there and became the replacement for them, those two ghosts were finally free and their souls can be reborn.

Lana woke up and didn't see her twin anymore. She thought Lola was in the way to out of the house. When she ran out and... everything were too late... Lana couldn't do anything, she's waiting 'till the sun comes up. She went down to the river and found her twin's corpse.

When the sun rose up, also after 7 days or a week passed by. Which means the drowning ghosts accident had been faded away. The teal and the coucal visited Lana's and Lola's house. Both of them were shocked when heard Lola's dead.

Seeing their hero's sadness, two birds helped Lana hold a funeral for Lola and hope that she will be live in peace and her soul can be free.

But they didn't know that wouldn't gonna help anything. Lola's soul still trapped in there... for years... And now she's wait for her replacement victim, she won't give up even it'll take long years or century.

Lucy closed her book, and turned at readers.

"This is the end of my first story..."

"Readers, if you want me to tell the next stories, then wait for them..."

"Goodbye, my dear readers..!"

She takes a bow, then back to her still pose.

And Lucy disappears in the dark.
