Speed: Yeah I kinda put myself as the main character because I couldn't think of an OC also this is just my journey through the Kanto Region i'm most definitely going through all the regions until Gamefreak decides to give up on pokemon. Also they go on their journey at sixteen and not ten because I have plans. You're gonna want to skip some parts if you're underage in the very later chapters. So here we go Pokefans!

Chapter 1
The Beginning of the Journey
Sinnoh Region
Prologue
In the Sinnoh region, Twinleaf Town some Starly were roaming freely as they were all having a nice day. That's when a male Shinx jumped out of a bush and startled all of them away while being chased by a male Purugly and female Mismagius.
Shinx: Sorry Starleys!
He kept on running as the Purugly and Mismagius were still on his tail.
Purugly: Come back here Shinx we just want to have a nice chat!
Mismagius: Yeah a nice chat!
Shinx: No thanks I love to but i'm not trying to get beat up.
Mismagius then charged up a shadow ball and aimed at Shinx's leg before he dodge out of the way by ducking under a trump.
Mismagius: He's too slippery!
Purugly: I got this.
Purugly claws then glowed as he use fury swipe on Shinx as he stumbled to the ground.
Shinx: Ugh!
Purugly and Mismagius were standing over Shinx with a sly smile.
Purugly: You thought you could run did you.
Shinx: Kinda…
Purugly just snickered.
Purugly: You're almost right you are fast one but if you evolved like us you could have gotten faster.
Purugly then got into Shinx's ear.
Purugly: But oh I forgot you can't.
Shinx then lowered his head as his ears followed.
Purugly and Mismagius laugh when they prepare a shadow ball and fury swipes.
Purugly: Now let's end this little chase shall we.
They both launched at the Shinx as he closed his eyes, but someone jumped from the bush and took the attacks themselves. It was an 8 year old black boy with blue hair, hoodie, and overalls. This was Speed Nashito (Aka me).
Speed's Pov
I jumped out of the bushes to save the little Shinx from getting attacked as I took the hit. I stumbled a little but took my balance.
Speed: Leave this little Shinx alone you rotten pokemon!
The pokemon was shocked to see me as the Shinx was even more shocked seeing someone protect him. He then crawled to my side as he laid his head on my leg as I pet him.
Speed: It's ok I got you.
The Purugly and Mismagius both growled as they both charged at us again. I got in front of the Shinx crossing my arms to protect him when. They both jumped at me with rage in their eyes as I was going to take the attacks before Shinx jumped onto my shoulder and let out of cry as his fangs glowed and bit on the Purugly making it scream in pain as I tackled the Mismagius. Shinx lets off and I get off before sprinting out of the forest.
When we got back into Twinleaf Town we both flopped onto the ground panting.
Speed: We [pant] made it.
They both looked at each other before laughing their heads off. It was a pretty exhilarating day for the both of them.
?: SPEED!
They both stopped laughing when they saw a dark blue haired girl running up to them.
?: Where have you been?!
This was Dawn, Speed's best friend.
Speed: Oh sorry Dawn I was looking around in the woods when I saved this little guy from being attacked.
Dawn looks over to Shinx as she starts gushing on how cute he is.
Dawn: Aww he's so cute, can snuggle with him?
Shinx snuggled into her leg as she pets him. Until they hear their moms call them over, Nella Nashito and Johanna Hikari.
Nella: Speed it's time for dinner.
Johanna: You too hun.
They both awd and turned to Shinx.
Speed: Well buddy looks like we gotta go home now meaning you have to go home too.
They both start to walk away waving to Shinx as it glumly stares at them before running up to them and jumping onto Speed's shoulder.
Speed: Huh?! Shinx what's going on!
Shinx: Shinx Shi (I wanna come with you!)
Dawn: I don't understand why he wants to come with us. His family must be very worried about him.
Shinx jumps to the grown, looks to the grown and frowns.
Speed: You don't have a family?
Shinx shakes his head as the two kids look sadly at him.
Speed: He's been alone all this time...
Dawn: That's so sad…
Speed then pet Shinx on his head before putting on his shoulder.
Speed: Well you're not alone anymore and ounce I turn sixteen were gonna on our journey me and you buddy.
Shinx: Shinx (YAY!)
Speed then started sprinting to his house laughing as Dawn looks at him and shakes his head.
Dawn: What a doofus… Hey guys wait for me!
They all started running home laughing as the sunset.
2 Years Later
A now 10 year old Speed was at his front porch with a sad look with another sad Shinx.
Speed: I can't believe we're moving.
Shinx: Shinx (Me too.)
They both sigh as Speed's mom comes out with some boxes.
Nella: Hey hunny and Shinx is your stuff all packed.
Speed nods his head before Nella pats him on head and gives him a slight smile.
Nella: I know it's hard to go but maybe you'll have another adventure in Kanto.
Speed: Yeah…
Nella gives him a frown before getting an idea.
Speed: How about you go say to bye to Dawn one last time, ok?
Speed: Ok, lets go Shinx.
They both walk to Dawn's house and enter through the door knowing her mom would be cool with it. When they entered they were greeted by Johanna.
Johanna: Ah, Speed, are you going to see Dawn? She's been hiding in her room for hours. How about you go cheer her up?
Speed heads upstairs and into Dawn's room where he saw her laying in bed with tears in her eyes.
Dawn: Speed, I don't want you to go.
Speed comes from behind and hugs her. She jumps a little and sees Speed with tears in his eyes and leaned on him.
Dawn: I don't want to see you go Speed, I'll miss you too much, I wanted us both to start our journey together.
Speed: Me too Dawn but you know my mom got a new job at a poke lab in the Kanto Region.
There was silence in the room all they could hear were soft breaths breathing on their skins. There was then a honk and they both looked out her window to see Speed's mom ready to go. They both sigh and look before each other.
Dawn: Just... don't forget me.
Speed: I wouldn't for the world.
They both gave each other a hug as Shinx snuggled into her leg.
Dawn: I'm gonna miss you to Shinx.
She gives him a pat on the head as he climbs onto Speed's shoulder. They both head outside to the moving truck and bid farewell.
Dawn: I hope we get to see each other again.
Speed: Of course we are. I am going to come to Sinnoh for my journey, dumb, dumb.
Dawn punched him in the arm.
Dawn: Hey that's mean!
They all laughed before getting in the van waving goodbye to Dawn as they drove off.
Speed: Bye Dawn, good luck on your journey!
Dawn: You too!
Shinx: Shinx Shi Shinx (Get an awesome pokemon I can play with.)
As they drive off in the distance Dawn puts a hand to her heart.
Dawn: I love you Speed.
Speed looks through the side view mirror before holding Shinx tight.
Speed: Were gonna be the very best that no one ever was, right buddy?
Shinx: Shinx (Yeah!)
Nella: That's my little boy.
Speed and Shinx both yawned before falling asleep.
6 Years Later
Kanto Region
Pallet Town
There was an alarm ringing in a house in a small town called Pallet Town. Through a window, in a room was now a 16 year old Speed trying to turn off the alarm while still sleeping with Shinx on his stomach irritated. He slammed his fist onto the clock breaking it before getting back under the covers. It then turned back on even though it was broken and they both groaned.
Speed: Ugh stupid alarm clock let us sleep!
He grabbed onto the clock pieces and tossed it into the trash and Shinx used ThunderShock to disintegrate it. They both got back into bed and went back to sleep after a few seconds waking back up.
Speed: Oh wait today's the day we start our pokemon journey!
They both hop out of bed before getting into the bath, brushing their teeth, and putting on some clothes which were a white tee, blue and orange jacket, blue jeans, blue, white, and orange shoes, and goggles. They exit the room and go to the front door before being stopped by Nella.
Nella: Speed, Shinx, you're just gonna go without any breakfast?
Speed and Shinx sweat dropped.
Speed: We were kinda in a rush.
Shinx nods his head agreeing and Nella sighs before giving him some food. He quickly ate all of it, kissed her before running out of the house.
Nella: What am i going to do with that boy?
Speed was heading to the house next door and knocked.
?: Come in!
Speed enters the house and the first thing he sees is being tackled by a Pikachu.
Speed: AHH!
Shinx: SHINX (AHh!)
Pikachu started liking their faces when a brunette woman named Hoja Romino.
Hoja: Pikachu get off Speed and Shinx this istante!
Pikachu stopped licking and got off Speed and Shinx and rubbed the back of his neck.
Pikachu: Pika pika pikachu (Sorry about that.)
Speed and Shinx got up and Speed pets Pikachu on the head.
Speed: It's great to see you too Pikachu.
Pikachu giggles before returning to Hoja.
Hoja: Speed, are you here to see Leaf?
Speed: Yeah is she here?
Hoja: She's upstairs getting ready.
Speed: Thanks Ms. Romino.
They head upstairs and come to Leaf's room before entering.
Speed: Hey Leaf, you in… here
When he entered the room he saw Leaf in just a towel. They both stare at each other in silence when Leaf starts throwing everything in her room at him.
Leaf: You stupid pervert! Trying to look at me nakid, your such a stupid pervert you freak! Knock before you enter you stupid pervert!
Speed: Im sorry! Please don't kill me!
After a few minutes he ran out of the room and closed the door behind him. Shinx shook his head disappointed in his trainer.
Speed: How was I supposed to know she was nakid in there?!
Shinx: Shink shinx ( You could've knocked.)
Speed just grumbled as waited at the door until Leaf opened the door now wearing her normal teal sleeveless top, red skirt, blue sock with shoes. They both were both blushing hard when she invited him in.
Speed: Sorry for barging in.
Leaf: It's fine just knock next time.
Shinx hopped onto her lap and snuggled in on her as she pets him.
Leaf: I can't believe we get to go on our pokemon journey today, are you excited Speed!
Speed: I'm not just excited, I'm pumped, I'm going through all religions, earn every badge I can and maybe make a few friends along the way.
Leaf: And of course I'm coming with you, right?
Speed: Of course you're my best friend.
Shinx: SHINX (HEY!)
Speed: Ok one of my best friends.
Shinx held his head high and smiled before they all heard a knock on the door.
Hija: Speed your mother is here.
Speed, Shinx, and Leaf headed downstairs headed downstairs to see Nella now in her lab coat waiting for them.
Speed: Mom?
Nella: Speed, Leaf i'm here to take you to the lab and get you your pokemon.
Speed: Huh, mom I already have Shinx with me, why do I need a pokemon?
Nella: You'll see now follow me.
They exit the house and go down the pathway greeting people as they pass by.
Speed: Hey Mirelda.
Mirelda: Hello Speed.
Leaf: Craig how's it going with the science project?
Craig was working on a hydro bike.
Craig: Doing well just got to Poliwhirl here to fire his water gun at the exact time I say.
Poliwhirl then used a water gun on him making him soaking wet.
Speed: Well good luck with that.
They both kept on following Nella when a little girl with an Oddish following behind her came running to them.
Speed: Hey Rosy.
Rosy: Big brother, big sister!
Oddish: Odd (Shinx!)
She came running to them giving them both a hug.
Leaf: Aww I how's it going little sister?
Rosy: Me and Oddish were training to be as strong as you.
Speed: Hm maybe we can test that out later.
Rosy: Yay!
Shinx pet Oddish on her head as she giggles before they walk away waving goodbye to them. They then arrived at a white building with the sign "Pokemon Lab".
Nella: Here we are, let's go.
They all enter the building which was filled with other people working, filing papers, doing research on pokemon, or giving out tests to other pokemon and their capabilities. Nella then took them to an office where three pokeball sided with a man with gray hair stands.
Nella: Professor.
The professor turned around to see the four of them.
Professor: Ah, the Nashito and Romino welcome.
Speed/Leaf: Hello Professor.
They both bowed their heads before Professor Oak invited them in.
Professor: So you must be here to claim you pokemon, am I right?
Speed: Well.
He points over to Leaf.
Speed: Leaf is getting her pokemon today, I already got mine.
He pets Shinx on his head while he raises his head in pride before Oak stops them.
Oak: Ah, my good boy, but Shinx isn't your pokemon.
Speed/Shinx: Huh/Shi?
Speed: What are you talking about profesor? I had Shinx since I was eight, how can he not be my pokemon?
Professor: One thing my boy, you haven't caught him.
Speed and Shinx were both confused for a little before they both got hit like a truck.
Speed: I haVeN'T eVeN CauGhT YoU yet?!
They were both freaking out when Nella calmed them both down.
Nella: Boys there's a way that you can catch Shinx!
They both stopped and looked up to Nella holding out a pokeball.
Nella: Here it is.
She gave it to Speed before they both had wide smiles.
Speed: Are you ready buddy!
As they both stood up they gave each other a smile.
Speed: Go Pokeball!
He tossed it to Shinx who got transferred into the Pokeball and it wiggled a little before catching him. Speed jumped up and raised up fist before grabbing Shinx pokeball.
Speed: Yeah I caught Shinx!
Leaf: Do you have to be that dramatic?
Speed: Yup!
He laughed and Leaf just shook her head before Shinx pokeball started to shake and he popped out shaking.
Speed: Shinx, you ok?
Shinx: S-S-Shinx Shinx (I never wanna go back to that thing again.)
Oak: Looks like Shinx here doesn't like the comfort of the pokeball.
Shinx turned to the professor with a dead eye stare.
Shinx: Shiiiiiinnxxx (Liiiiieeeesss)
They all sweat drop before Oak brings over three pokeballs.
Oak: Now time to pick your starters.
Leaf looks over and excitedly skips over looking over the pokeballs. Oak puts them on a table before pressing the buttons, opening them revealing an orange lizard, a blue turtle, and a green plant.
Charmander: Char (Hi!)
Squirtle: Squirt squirtle (Hey what's up!)
Bulbasaur: Bulbasaur (Hello there.)
Leaf: Ohh there all so cute!
She lets them all markinghem all giggled.
Oak: Remember Leaf only one.
She looks over them before she picks up Squirtle.
Leaf: I choose you Squirtle!
Squirtle cheered as the others lowered their heads.
Speed: Now we both got pokemon.
They both high five before the professor came up to them.
Oak: Ah Speed but you haven't picked your pokemon yet.
Speed looked confused.
Speed: What do you mean Kanto starter?
Oak: That means you get to get another pokemon.
Speed: Wait really?!
Speed and Shinx had stars in their eyes while Leaf sweat dropped.
Leaf: That idiot.
Speed and Shinx looked over at both Charmander and Bulbasaur with glasses and clipboards in their hand and paw.
Speed: A grass type or a fire type, hm. Who… should…. I choose?
They were both looking nervous who he would pick before Speed got up.
Speed: I know who I'm gonna pick now.
He then reached for Charmander, having Charmander cheer before he grabbed Bulbasaur.
Speed: It was a hard decision but I choose you Bulbasaur.
Bulbasaur: Bulb (Yay!)
Charmander was outraged he started stopping around and causing a ruckus. Her embers at everyone causing everyone to duck down.
Speed: Well she's salty.
Shinx: Shinx (Agreed.)
Bulbasur then got out of cover and tried to talk some sense into him.
Bulbasaur: Bulba Bulbasur ( Dude calm down, I know you'll get a trainer some day.)
Charmander didn't listen and fired an Ember at Bulbasaur before Speed jumped out and grabbed him.
Speed: Phew, you ok Bulbasur?
Bulbasaur nodded his head before jumping out of his arms and growled at Charmander.
Speed: Well if it's a battle you want, it's a battle you're gonna get!
Everyone sat behind a table seeing Speed challenge Charmander with Bulbasaur.
Leaf: Speed, you better have a plan or Bulbasaur is gonna get scorched!
Shinx: Shinx (Yeah!)
Speed: We got this, right buddy?
Bulbasaur nods and gets into a fighting stance lifting up his vines while Charmander is glaring with hatred.
Speed: Ok Bulbasur use tackle!
Bulbasaur leapt up and came running to Charmander who was firing multiple Embers. He dodged them all and tackled Charmander in the gut sending her a few feet away. Charmander now with rage came up to Bulbasur and used scratch.
Speed: Bulbasaur dodge!
Bulbasaur dodged out of the way, making Charmander miss.
Speed: Now another tackle!
Bulbasaur then tackled Charmander on his back, sending her to the ground. She tried to get up before falling to the ground with swirls in her eyes. Everyone cheered as Bulbasaur stood over the fainted Charmander. Speed put a hand on his back giving him a soft smile before he sighed. Oak picked up the fainted Charmander and put her back in the ball.
Oak: Congratulations on your battle Speed and Bulbasaur you three will do fine with each other.
Speed: Yeah we are, right guys?
Shinx and Bulbasaur both jumped up and cheered. Leaf ran up to them releasing Squirtle as he jumped into her arms. They all look at the Charmander's pokeball saddened.
Speed: I feel bad.
Leaf: Yeah he was the only one that couldn't come.
They both look down on the ground with their pokemon feeling sorry, Bulbasaur feeling the worst since they were good friends.
Speed: It's ok she'll get a trainer some day, right profesor?
Oak: That's right now before you leave I need to give you two something.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue and green pokedex.
Speed/Leaf: Our own Pokedex?!
They both hugged each other before blushing and letting go before laughing and high fiving. Oak hands them the Pokedexes and Nella smiles on at the two fangirling and boying about their pokedexes.
Nella: Reminds me on my journey.
They all exit the lab and go back to the houses and Speed with Shinx and Bulbasaur starts packing his stuff before he takes a picture of his mom, dad, and little him, he smiles and puts it into his pack. He puts it on and Shinx jumps onto his shoulder and Bulbasur jumps into his pokeball and Speed puts him on his belt. As he left his room and to the living room Nella had a present with her.
Nella: Speed, i've got something for you.
She gave Speed the present and it was a blue hoodie with the pokemon symbol on the back with orange outlines around it.
Speed: Dad Jacket….
Nella: He wanted to give you it himself but… you know.
Speed looked at it for a sec before he started having tears in his eyes and hugged his mom.
Speed: Thanks mom.
Nella: Your welcome sweetie, now you go on a give it all, you here and take care of your pokemon.
Speed: Yes ma'am!
Nella: (Whisper to Shinx) And you and Leaf take care of this idiot.
Shinx salutes as Speed rolls his eyes. He goes to the door and exits saying bye to her and walks to Route 1 where he sees Leaf standing now wearing a one hat with a red pokeball symbol on the top.
Speed: So ready to head to the great unknown?
Leaf: Definitely!
Speed: Well let go! Right Buddy!
Shinx: Shinx (Yeah!)
They all take a big leap into their journey and one big step towards their future.
The End
Speed: Man this must be the only close to original thing I wrote.
Ryan: Maybe but really, a Shinx is what you chose, you're only doing that because of Lizzy.
Speed looks at Lizzy who was tossing electric balls around.
Speed: Maybe…
