Naruto: Konoha's Hedgehog

Chapter One

"But be awa-re of it, it's cost is se-rious!!!", heaving heavily the woman let go of his hand slightly, "now go find the Hokage, I hear somebody coming. When you see him, tell him "the moon has set". Hesitating slightly he took off silently, 'I can't fight him!!! I'm not strong enough yet!!!'.

Exiting the compound he ran as hard as he could, doing so for what seemed like an eternity he found the tower. Running inside he barely avoided the Chunin's trying to catch him, quickly getting into the office he shouted out the phrase and passed out.

Waking up from his short nap he sat up, yawning he stretched and jumped off the tree. Landing softly onto the ground he looked up into the sky, 'huh, not much time passed by. I wonder if the squad is done with their punishment... well only one way to find out!!!'.

Disappearing in a wave of leaves the young man appeared infront of a group of Anbu playing around on the gravel ground, raising an eyebrow under his mask he coughed into his hand.

Seeing them all freeze they all quickly got up, "mind telling me why you aren't counting?". Quickly coming forward a woman in a cat mask came forward, "we finished counting each pebble captain!!!".

"Oh? Are you sure about that? You can tell me the truth, you won't get in trouble~", she quickly shook her head at that comment along with the others.

Staring down his team he held in a laugh, 'I guess it's time'. "Alright then you all are free to go, there's a prize for all you for your hardwork in our locker room", seeing them excited he saw an Anbu member appear infront of him.

Noticing the member being apart of the Hokage's detail he looked at his teammates, "alright everyone you can go without me, I have other buisness to attend to".

Getting the memo they all disappeared, turning he gave the man his full attention. "The Hokage requests your presence", nodding from the information he disappeared.

Appearing before the village leader the boy knelt in front of him, "hello Owl, how have you've been my boy?". Taking off his mask he smiled brightly, "I am doing well sir, what is thy bidding my Hokage?".

Nodding the man gave him a scroll, "I have an S-Rank Job for you, recently the missing Nin, Orochimaru, had been spotted inside the forest of death and had attacked team seven.

He accomplished setting a seal on the Uchiha and the Uzumaki, your mission is to protect the two as discreetly as possible. This mission will not end until I give the order, it is vital for the future of Konoha for the two to live".

Hearing his orders he bowed slightly, "I understand lord Hokage". Disappearing in a wave of leaves he appeared before his dresser, opening the object he took the clothing out.

Switching out his clothes he put on black Pants, a Shirt, a Jacket, and Sandals. Looking into the mirror he nodded from his ordinary look.

Reading the scroll given to him the Anbu Captain smirked, 'hell yeah!!! Thank you Uzumaki!!! getting some ramen while finding them is productive!!!'.

Leaving his home he past a few shopping centers and stopped at a cross road, sniffing the air he smelt something very pleasant.

Drooling from the pleasant smell he followed it, passing by a few different establishments ranging from barbecue restaurants to candy shops he stopped in front of a Ramen Shop.

Looking at the sign he gained many tears from the writing.

'The gods have answered my prayers for this mission, I can't wait to eat some of this ichiraku ramen!!!', opening the flaps into the store he saw an old man giving a redhead a bowl of ramen.

Turning to the new guest the man smiled and waved, "welcome to ichiraku ramen, what would you like to eat?".

Thinking carefully he raised up five fingers, "I want five Tonkotsu chicken Ramen". Blinking the man nodded slowly, "the total is 425 ryo".

Taking out his cat shaped wallet he took out the necessary coins and dropped them into the mans hands, "your food will be out in twenty minutes".

Grabbing a seat he sat down, 'now I just need to figure out who the Uzumaki and Uchiha are, damn old man wanted me to find out!'. Sighing he felt his stomach rumbling, before he could even think about his stomach he heard someone speak with their mouth full.

When he turned he saw the redhead staring at him.

Raising an eyebrow he saw her swallow the noodles hanging from her mouth, clearing her throat she gave him a megawatt smile. "Do you like ramen too‽", seeing ten empty bowls to her side he nodded.

"It is my favorite", hearing the quick reply she bobbed her head knowingly. "I'm not surprised, it is the the food of the gods", hearing his phrase he gave a thumbs up.

"That is the same thought I had when I first ate it, you have confirmed that I am not the only one thinking of this", laughing out loud she agreed with him.

Watching her resuming eating he looked at her clothing, 'why does the jump suit seem so familiar?'. Finishing his thought he saw her staring at him intently, being a little uncomfortable he gave her a questionable look.

"Sorry it's just you kinda look like someone I met once", raising an eyebrow he shrugged, "sorry Toots but this is the first time I'm meeting you".

Before she could speak slight clattering was heard in front of him, turning he saw the man giving him a weird smile. "Here's your meal, enjoy!", smiling slightly he begun eating it.

Tasting the first drop of the ramen he froze almost instantly and stared at the food. Seeing this the two other occupants looked at him, "is there something wrong?".

Getting no answer the two weren't prepared for his next actions, he quickly scarfed down the meal. Stopping he put down an empty bowl to the counter, seeing the man shake his head and leave he turned to see the girl nodding in understanding.

"So you've learned the goodness of ichiraku ramen", watching her get up he followed her with his eyes. Stopping she looked back at him, "the names Narumi Uzumaki ya know!!! I hope to see you again stranger!!!".

Staring at her leaving form he looked around to see no one, glancing at his scroll quickly he narrowed his eyes. Putting it away he blinked, 'I guess the Uzumaki is a she... oh well, back to Ramen'.

"Master Jiraiya, I believe in you, I trust in you", saying his last words the man closed the door behind him. As the door closed it revealed a younger man behind it, "it's been a while lord Jiraiya".

"Ah it's been a while Shun, how may I help you this fine evening?", rolling his eyes he shook his head. "I was assigned to protect Narumi in case she is in great danger or is attacked", nodding in understanding the man smirked.

"Never mind that here's the newest book, you will be the first person to read it before its release", becoming excited th teenager took the book. "Thank you sir, but didn't you say your books will never be released to people under the age of 18?", nodding the man crossed his arms.

"Well yes but if you are in the Anbu since you were ten, then I think I can make an exception", shrugging the boy put the gift away.

"Then I guess I don't really need to guard her, I can trust you to keep her safe?", "oh yes, you can count on me". Hearing slight mischievous tone in his voice he sighed, 'I guess I better have a summon watch him'.

"Anyway please take care of her, Kakashi Senpai told me he can take care of the Uchiha", "ah don't worry kid, you can trust me~".

'Hahhh... I leave her unattended with the toad sannin for a few days and she's in the hospital already, I better have a little talk with a dear friend of mine', clamping down on his thumb he drew blood.

Making a hand seal and setting it on the ground a poof of smoke appeared, clearing away the smoke screen an animal on a chair was made known.

Kissing the hedgehogs knuckles he bowed, "hello Don, may I ask you why you are here instead of Fillipo?". Narrowing his eyes the animal shook his head, "the boy said you were being cryptic and wanted to see me the in the next summoning. Since it's obvious he lied, should we off him? Or cut off a finger?".

Grimacing from that question he shook his head, "no boss he's still a young stupid kid, it was just a mistake that I had him on this mission". Nodding slightly the hedgehog then shook his head, "either way he needs to be punished for lying to me".

Hearing the hedgehog he agreed, "how about instead of killing him or cutting off a finger; you smack his behind like a child infront of everyone including that gal he likes, then ban him from drinking alcohol for a month, I think that sounds reasonable enough?".

Thinking carefully on that proposal he nodded, "alright then, that will be his punishment". "Ah and Don, could you tell him to resume his job after the hitting punishment please?", smirking from the boys nervousness he nodded.

"Of course of course, but I best be going. Good luck Mr. Angelo". Disappearing in a cloud of smoke Kon sighed, 'you owe me next time Fillipo, now I better get home'.
