A/N: NOT AGAIN!! Yes another note. Ok, I recommend you read The Day Hermione Nearly Died first, otherwise some of this may make noooooooooooooo sense. K? lets begin.
Ron Weasley shook his head and smirked as he looked around from behind the towering pile of books. 'Those two are hopeless' he thought as he saw Harry Potter and Hermione Granger sitting on the ground sharing a sweet kiss.
"Well at least they realised what they wanted," someone behind him whispered in his ear in a far off dreamy way, scaring the heck out of him. He gave a start, before turning to look directly into the wide eyes of Luna Lovegood.
"Wha-wh-what... where did you come from?" he asked bewilderedly.
Luna simply smiled serenely, made a guesture as if to say 'shh' and looked around at Harry and Hermione before grabbing Ron's wrist and dragging him out of the shop.
"But I haven't got my books yet Luna!" he protested as she dragged him out into the alleyway.
"We can go back and get them later love," she replied as if that was the ultimate logical thing to do. Ron however turned and looked at her with a look of shock, expressed clearly across his face.
"Love?!" he stammered bewildered.
Luna giggled as she continued to pull him through the crowded Diagon Alley. "You really are silly Ron. But you always make me laugh you know that right? It's a very good quality to have, making others happy." She turned and beamed a huge dreamy smile at him, stopping in front of a stone water fountain that was surrounded by lots of little birds sitting on it as it pumped out water that pooled around the bottom. There were a few little children who were running around the edge of it playing tag with each other. Luna smiled vaguely at the blank look on Ron's face as she pulled him around so that his back was facing the fountain before she stood on her toes and pulled Ron down to brush her lips softly against his.
He was frozen to the spot. His first kiss ever, and it was from... LUNA LOVEGOOD?!?! He all of a sudden lost his balance and without waring toppled backwards into the pool at the bottom of the fountain.
He could feel the blood rushing to his face as he then heard laughter sounding from behind Luna. Before he knew it though, his damned younger sister Ginny, had appeared out of nowhere and had pushed Luna into the pool too, on top of Ron. He was lying there feeling extremely hopeless and extremely embarrassed when just to make matters worse, Harry's beaming face appeared above his redder-than-ever-before one and laughed.
"Good luck Ron." Was all he said before pulling away laughingly to kiss Hermione.
"Ah... Luna? Could you please get off of me. You're restricting my breathing capacity." Ron gasped desperately.
"Hmm... you have that effect on me too Ron," was Luna's reply however as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "I love you Ron."
Ron gasped in shock. He pushed her up off of him so that he could get up out of the pool, and when he was out, he then pulled Luna up too and pulled her up against him. He looked down at her, into her beautiful dreamy eyes.
"Luna, I love you too."
